The optimal strategy is to split up one to a team minimum. That way they can have a hand at sabotaging all teams in the scum pt. Split up 2 scum to a team with stronger players.

That is my thought process too in what i think scum wants - which is why i want to build teams and create one or 2 designated as "PoE"

Like in death curse, it was the day before my birthday and I was sick but I probably wouldn't say that as town. Here is entirely different. The only "AtE" if you can even call it that is my homework but that is a legitimate problem. It is legitimately sucking up hours of my time and I am unable to actively play as a result of that. And the only reason I even mention it is because I think it's affecting the game and I went multiple long phases without posting anything before I decided it was better to include a reason so I didn't get sussed for being inactive. The AtE here is SO MUCH less present. If this were my scum game, I'd be steamrolling the shit out of such a scummy set of players. Fl vs hectic was my first impression. The only reason I didn't bring it up is because Mason can skew gameplay as much as rolling scum does in a setup like that. So it's a pretty unreliable indicator of townplay from a meta standpoint.

Well I wish I knew their reasoning behind it to answer this confidently. The fact that they have refused to explain makes me wonder if it's reaction fishing, though from me or someone else idk. Maybe looking at the 4 possibilities would be useful.

1. They are town, and townread me. This probably means it is more related to the team composition than it is to me specifically. Though I don't know how having Loftwing in a neighborhood would be useful at all.

2. They are town, and scumread me. Then this is an opportunity to either take me out if the odd one out is elimmed, or keep me out of any private discussions otherwise. The latter is useful because then we're hurting scum's best weapon, which is knowing things we don't.

3. They are town, and don't know what to make of me. I think this is the most likely answer. In this case, I'd go back to what I said about reaction fishing. Which I didn't solidly consider until thinking it through to answer your question, so idk, maybe this is reaction enough for them.

4. They are scum, they know I'm town, they want to be on a team with their buddies instead of me. Having town as the odd one out is probably more beneficial for scum, for the exact same (but opposite) reasons that I outlined earlier regarding having scum left out being beneficial for town.

Secret 5th option: we are both scum. In this case, they're just distancing like I told them to do in our mafia PT.

I don't know, not sure I feel great about the thoroughness of those possibilities. Feels like there's a very wide range of "why"s here, but these are the main 4 possibilities in a broad sense, and what I think of them. There are 2 names from team trying, 2 from clown team, 6 from.....whatever team they are from. These are all the slots that I don't have concrete reasons to call them town.

And if that list only 6 can be scum, so there is town in that list that I'm not reading as town. Maybe they're from team trying and maybe they're not but they're all slots I'm focusing on to get a better read.

I don't think it's crazy for team Trying to decide that Norwee is the more likely target for other teams, but it does seem kinda weird to me especially since 2/3 people I found who were in support of it are on that team.

And actually given that Noraa went through when clown team was the one that stacked on them, it makes me think that clown team is likely to be mostly town? Unless Mathblade actually slipped and his team deliberately ganged up on Noraa (in which case whoever was the one who convinced Clown to stack on Noraa is more likely scum).

I convinced clown to stack on nora. kind of. consensus was that norwee was the only other slot in real danger of being voted out via we're trying and everyone agreed it was nora or norwee. they are all the slots i dont explicitly townread. in the case of Morning Tweet I've thought they had scum equity from literally page 1, i did kind of waffle on it later but i digress. tictac I usually toneread early and then narrow from there, I didnt get town tone early so ive given up making that read mostly. Also, it would be impossible to really understand just reading through but if you were there at the time you would have seen tictac lurking during the parachute game where i made a mock pooky post that tictac sniped out. I kind of scumread it at the time but i guess i could see town doing it? it was just mostly that he wasnt around for any of the posting except for the parachute and disappeared after.

1) I know the majority is wrong because the majority scumreads me. Being wrong or right isnt what’s sortable it’s the motivation and since we can’t do anything about scumreads people just post words and it’s all meaningless.

2) It’s a read list yes. But it’s inherently based on who you like vs who you think is scum even if you say and believe it’s not. Everyone wanted a parachute so no one is scummy for grabbing one. Everyone wants parachutes for who they want to play with so one is scummy for grabbing one for those that don’t refresh. Absence isn’t scummy because can’t refresh all day.

I don't remember if I posted this separately either but Koba as a number partner easily could have advocated to bring number into team trying before it was finalized. MT could have done the same on Kobas recommendation considering Koba was townreading them at the time.

Team clown already had scum in it with FB proposing the team in the first place so they didn't need an extra set of eyes there.

He was bascially trying to convince RCE that Kkoba was scum

So that came from Norwee doubling back on his dwlee/Koba townreads but his logic was that he has a tendency to back down on scumreads that challenge him directly and attributes it to town tunneling. He was coming around to Koba being scum trying to push his stances on him as scum and asked fire specifically what he thought about it because no one else was entertaining Koba!scum.

I laid out a meta point going back to the dark fairy game boon hosted since it had a lot of the same players and summed up Kobas game as town. FB asked if I was willing to die on that hill in not those exact words. Yes, yes I was.

Yes and he did a complete 180 on RCE slot which makes very little sense for scum to do.

and this is something someone says who is invested into the game and genuinely digesting it and remembering things - a scum mindset already knows alignments and their mind does not care to remember details like this.

Yeah the chute faking thing was dumb af. But, to be fair, that whole event was pretty dumb. A blemish on an otherwise pretty interesting and fun setup.

ok so this chute thing

was really about

capitalism vs socialism

and greed versus the collectivism

like the ideal way town should play that

is to let all the chutes drop

and then decide collectively who should get chutes and who should be left behind

instead greed won

it's really about the human condition

and how our base instincts win out over our better angels

this is what I said in the dead PT about the idea behind the game

and I think it does embody the spirit of Squid Game,

The scum were very effective at changing the narrative from "let's find bad guys" to "let's beat team tryhard cuz lol troll"

And I think if they had just stuck with that line, FB could've maintained his hold over the Clown team and maybe yeeted Koba.

It's actually surprising to me Koba managed to overrun the Clowns.

ok so up until the first dance I was under the impression that teams were going to remain together until they were wiped out by games or elims. so the idea was keep two teams together that were mostly town (clowns/avengers) and just wipe team trying and those other guys. town still keeps majority and clown still holds strong in case an intact team holds power in a future game.

but then we just went and played mafia....meh.
