Viking, people aren't there solely from warding and whatnot. Some people there have very concrete lists for being on the town lists, while the others are a product of my gut, which I have an absurd (over?)confidence in. Regardless, I do those in almost all the games I'm in now and they work for me.

If we make the pairings list ourselves, it's still playing mafia! Townhunt 12 people. Cult tries to get enough people in that list to survive.

If this is still not "playing mafia", then any form of pure Night action regulation within the town isn't playing mafia, as in essence, that's all the plan is.

It is still a variant of a game breaker. I am not opposed to town dictation of players who are needing monitoring, such as ani. We have no idea how many players stalked last night and how many potential murderers there are. IMO, actions of the night will expose what needs to be town controlled. I think any approach like this stands a great chance of failing when holes are revealed and the town has neglected to get the needed tools put in place by the setup, leaving the town naked, in a sense, a reverse break of the game in favor of the cultists. Although, I will say I am more open to your idea than one, such as Adel's, that makes the game become nothing more than a boring fun free observation of a game of Risk.

For the next 2 days, we deal with inconsistencies in the projected happenings, and assuming a good decision on the town list, we should be in an extremely good position to win coming out of it.

What you posted wasn't prisoner's dilemna, but the majority of the "town list" I would bet, would be rational people who be more wanting to win. Remember, a murderer needs 6 nights to win. With town in a dominating presence coming out of the plan, the chances of the murderer win is close to nil.

My biggest concern with ani was that he was lying about his insanity to allow him to participate in the ritual tonight with no apparent change in insanity count. Now that this has been alleviated I see no reason to vote him as he is verified town.

I just realized that I never answered VP's question about who seems scummiest. Right now, I am thinking that Ani is the scummiest player atm. This is because I see his lying as COMPLETELY anti-town. This now discredits everything that he said. I realize that this is from the early game, but it is still valid. Also, stalking is a preparation to kill, and preparing to kill someone night0, without reading any posts, is very scummy. Also his reasoning that Adel should be killed because he is a good player and could be scum has much more potential to hurt the town than to hurt the cult. There is a 3:1 chance that Adel is town. So he wanted to kill a player who is more likely to be town than mafia. This seems very scummy. As for having him vote for himself to test his insanity, I think it was a pointless exercise. All that it told us is that someone who voted Ani has the Avolition insanity. Also, while Ani is robbing graves, he can still be working for the cult by doing things that do not require gaining insanitys, such as making fetishes. I think that Ani is most likely to be scum because of these reasons, and should be lynched today.

re:kunkstar - Take a second and consider what options he would have if drench took psychopathy on night 2...what other option would he have but to claim that? I mean, drench was under heat already for being potential scum and it didn't let up today. Also, if drench was going to go murderer, why would he wait until night 3 to do it? It seems to me that the key to winning as murderer is to kill as quickly as possible. I mean, I guess you don't technically have to be a murderer until your second kill to win as it, but taking psychopathy early if you're going down that route seems optimal since it's an insanity that would cause no harm to your eventual goal.

I think there were less scum on the ani wagon than most people were thinking. Scum can daytalk and if they had reasonable confidence it would eventually disintigrate there may be at most only 2 on it.

There was probably 1-2 scum bussing Nico at that point already. Maybe another one on Yerk, not sure there? And the rest in the no vote/scattered area.

I would guess on 3-4 scum bussing Nico at the end and 2-3 off and same amount on CSL and SLY.
