I always thought the VI (village idiot) is a town who does all of the above...."I dont think he is scum, just the VI"...or "every town has a VI".....always associated it with town not scum. I have never once heard someone call another player a VI when they thought she/he was acting scummy.

Scum can easily play VI in attempt to survive.
