I chose him to hydra with because our markedly-different styles mean that we approach the same problem from different angles, and thus have more information. Our styles conflict, but also complement each other.

C-Worl and I are both disruptive and dickish in pursuit of reactions when we play Town, and unfortunately hydra'ing has made this even worse. We're going to just shut the fuck up for a couple of days, reread, and do some actual scumhunting in our QT, and present the findings when we're done.

What pisses me off more than thinking we fell for the gambit (hell, I pulled the same thing in WoW Maf) is that DGB didn't even let others give their reactions. We went along with it on the VERY slim offchance she was truthful, but also to make it look like we were taking her completely seriously. The key things in this chat that I notice are in bolded and underlined.

The bolded parts to me are scummy because it feels like you're using past meta evidence and twisting it to make yourself look townie. Especially the first part that's in bold because you've anticipated DGB's action to be a gambit, and then responded in a way where you two had to coordinate your own towny image. Townies, good townies, don't care about their own appearance in the manner that you've shown because if they are good they don't need to prove so. Their priorities aren't looking at ways to show how townie they are or thinking about posts to make themselves look more townie. That's a scum mindset when they blend in.

The underlined portions are reactions I would expect a townie to do. I'd expect a sense an apathy due to death (like, oh lame! reaction). I expect that the players are critical when faced with a person who just "killed them" (that person just shot me, but wait those reasons/actions are townie even though I think it was a bad move!). And You wanted to post reads pre-vig announcement just in case.

I see how both of Fugi's bolded statements look scummy. I do. But that's just how he thinks - when he talks about mafia, especially ourselves, he takes things objectively. If we're town, he'll say "oh, this'll make us look more town" and he'll say the same if we're scum. I know this from knowing him for years and playing multiple mafia games with him. You'll have to take my word for it, though.

You probably have to go back through a Left or Right before you can go down when you're in the Up group, and it looks like you have to be in the down group to be killed. My guess is that a lynch on someone in the down group does kill them, while a lynch in the Up group moves them to Left or Right, and obviously a lynch in Left or Right moves them Down. I bet it's 3 tiers and we need to move scum to the down, which means our night action will be used to put pro-town people in the right upwards. Or just not at all because I'm not a fan of making someone harder to kill for more than just a night. That's so much less cool than killing people like Vigilante suggests.

Which explains the lack of our kill, but I'm pretty sure that was due to Espeon moving up because of game rules. /tangent. It's an odd role, and Reck's posting is odd in general - I don't think I've played with Reck in a game before, so I'm not sure if it's par for the course. He doesn't explain much and isn't being very helpful, plus his push for the massclaim worries me.
