Obviously it doesn't count much, but it certainly counts more than not making an actual vote. I would say it depends on the scum player. If that scum player has voted for the mod before as town they might be inclined to vote for the mod again to try to manipulate meta. If you are asking if I have played any games with someone who was scum and voted for the mod instead of making a random vote, the answer is no.Katy=Gemini wrote:@LordChronos - Okay, I get that reasoning, but how much do you think a normal random vote "counts"? Do you think a scum player would be more likely to vote for the mod or to just make a totally random vote like everyone else to fit in? Also, one more thing and then I will probably leave you alone - do you have any prior experience that makes you think this is a scum tell?
@Snow Bunny
I already answered that question. I think voting the mod is a cop-out.I'm a talking computer.-

Shadow, we've been through this already. Andrius and dana have both given fakeclaims to all scum members in the past. So it's likely that scum have fakeclaims now. Thus, there probably will be no CC to your Poseidon claim regardless of whether or not you are scum.Shadow Dancer wrote:You call BS? You wanna CC? I won't claim my SP. Not now, i.e. today (D1), at least.
But it's noted you are trying to use that as a defense.

That is a pathetic excuse. Your kids can't make you type Chronopie instead of LordChronos. Say you messed up if you messed up, but don't try to shift the blame. Also, do you have any original thoughts about the game so far? So far you sheeped the "scumslip" reason for voting SD, agreed that Dekes was scummy but didn't vote him, then voted me for the joke reason I posted with my RVS vote cause chess said it was scummy.Baby Spice wrote:Damn kids.

I don't see that color claim will be helpful to town at all, given that SD says his is teal-blue, you said yours is pink, and the pre-game death ones are a different color entirely. Why would you think that the color used in the role pm is likely to help confirm a claim?Plum wrote:Magna - it was potentially a piece of information worth using as a basis for comparison and fleshing things out. I did notice the different colors in the pre-game character deaths and, comparing them with my own color information, thought that a color-claim at this time could potentially help confirm or weaken the claim in the eyes of at least specific player-roles.
How was my response to Gemini backtracking?quadz08 wrote:UNVOTE:

Early push towards Snow Bunny for modvote was scummy; next post (responding to Gemini) says it "might be a towntell or null, but I don't have to like it" which is him backtracking.
Says very little else outside of answering questions about that push, UNTIL
He says he's happy with his vote on Baby Spice, citing her pushing the blame for voting Chronopie instead of LC onto her children. Explain the scum motivation for shifting the game to a non-game entity to me, cause I think that it's a huge reach.
My comment about being happy with my vote on Baby Spice had more to do with her declaration that Dekes is scummy then sheeping chesskid in voting me than it did with her utterly lame excuse for voting Chronopie first. Sorry for the confusion.
Explain the town motivation for shifting the game to a non-game entity rather than simply admitting the mistake to me. I agree with MoI that it doesn't seem likely that you could ISO someone, decide to vote them, then vote someone else.I'm a talking computer.-

There is no one named Chronos in this game though. Hell, I don't know that I can remember anyone abbreviating my name as Chronos. Usually it's LC. Also, MoI is almost certainly not scum because of his making a claim that insures his death before LyLo. Also, who else said they confused me with Chronopie?Baby Spice wrote:Why would I answer MoI's deliberate misrep of the situation?

Why does he, and yourself, continue with this crap when someone else has actually admitted thet they themselves have confused Chronos and Chronopie?

Anyway, as far as scumreads go, I think Axel is scummy for mostly talking setup/theory, gandalf is scummy pending an answer to my question to him for belief that SD was a SK but not redirecting him. You are scummy for reasons discussed above.
For town reads, MoI, Gemini, and AGar are at the top of my list. chess is anti-town and annoying, not sure whether town or scum though.

On one hand AGM is absolutely correct - his claim is unproveable. On the other hand his reaction to AV’s claim and what I know about my role seems to bolster my thought that his claim is true.
I also agree that Quadz would certainly be a good alternative to AGM.

Think for a second about what you are saying: you want others to prove me town via arguments. However, that isn't possible. A negative can't be proved via an argument like that. Neither is it their responsibility to. it is solely up to you as accuser to provide evidence. Accusers bear the burden of proof, not defendants. To pretend otherwise just makes you look foolish. Of course, you probably don't care, do you? Shadow is perfectly correct that you are just making yourself look bad.

It is slightly scummy and definitely annoying. But I don't think chronopie is a better lynch two for today than Axel or mothrax. Axelrod wrote:In http://mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 995113Post #552 he remarks that MoI is "almost certainly" not scum because of his claim which "insures" his death before LoL. Which just seems silly to say. Like, how do you figure his death is insured? Are you planning to lynch him? Even though you think he's "almost certainly" not scum? He's challenging BS to specify what she finds scummy about him, which is fine. BS was really just waggoning with Chesskid here, and Chesskid never really said much about why he was on LC's case.
He sticks with the vote following BS's claim. Says the Hider ability doesn't fit the role. Which is something I suppose he might believe, but then, in #763 he unvotes. It appears he might be following along with SD, in as much as SD is arguing he believes BS's claim and thinks it + her ability means she isn't scum. Say's he'll revote after a review, but doesn't get back before Gandalf ends the day. GEE GANDALF, THAT HELPED US SO MUCH.
Here he questions a plan of Chesskids (which might not have made any sense), but more interestingly to me, chastises SD to stop "role-fishing" re: Dekes. SD claimed he jailkept Dekes. Dekes claimed he was not jailkept. One would think the conflict between those claims would be of interest, but LC doesn't seem interested about it at all.
#1205 Is probably his longest post of the game. This is where he's going to commit to a second lynch (after the obv. AV). The person he picks is...AGM. His reasoning? "AGM is acting like Ice's result on him is accutare. No protown posting at all."
This whole post is a summary type post. "Gandalf - Chess argument was a waste of space." "AV is posting stuff that is invalid." "Gandalf isn't making sense re:SD SK belief." This post is pretty scummy.
He then follows MoI and says he's willing to lynch Quadz after AGM has claimed Doc. He agrees with MoI about the "third party comment". Nothing more really said until he jumps to me after Quadz treestump. On me, he just says "as I said earlier" he finds me scummy. He reaffirms this by criticizing my post compiling all the claims in the thread (which I had already made, but he hadn't previously commented on).
He has an awful lot of "question" posts in this game. These are typically 1-liners. They are rarely followed up on. I guess he always satisfied by the answer he gets? Too many of those starts to look scummy. It's a way to stay looking interested without having to really comment or commit yourself to anything. He's mostly following along this game. Posting infrequently. Giving a bare minimum of informed opinions.
Re: MoI
If you would like to have a hated townie alive in LyLo, be my guest. Don't blame me when you lose. Ideally, of course, we will lynch all the scum and any third party before we get to LyLo, but we also can't let MoI enter a LyLo situation or the scum will lynch him for the win, yes?
Re: My Unvote of BS
The unvote came after BS used her super to have the mod post that message for her. Maybe you can extrapolate from that why I unvoted then as opposed to unvoting after a hider claim from the goddess of rainbows.
Re: Rolefishing
I thought it was quite clear what Dekes meant. He has some kind of role that generates a result and he got a result when he used it. Further inquiries as to what that role is only draw out more claims and help guide scum.
Re: Summary Post
Of course it was a summary, I was catching up after having been busy. Since then I have been putting more effort in to this game, though still perhaps not as much as I ought to.
Re: Quadz
MoI and I were far from the only ones to mention that comment as odd. Why single me out as "following" him?

My normal power is Whisper, which let's me target a dead player each night and speak to them for the following day and night.
My super is Commune, which establishes permanent communication between me and a dead player for the rest of the game. Haven't used it yet.
Night 1 I targeted Baby Spice, Night 2 I targeted Snow_Bunny.I'm a talking computer.-

PEDIT: That could easily be made up, and I don't like that your normal and your super basically do the same thing. Guess what other two people had supers that did the same thing as their normals: AV and ConSpiracy. Wait, were they the ones who flipped scum. Damn.
I think AGM means scum NEIGHBOR, not neighborizer.
Iec's super is a stronger slightly different version of his normal. AGM's special is a stronger version of his normal. Your point?
And it's not my fault that my ability is basically impossible to confirm.I'm a talking computer.-

What I ask myself: Who would motivate Gandalf after his D1 stunt?
Does any one want to claim to have been motivated tonight?
The neighborhood part yes.
@Dekes
I hadn't questioned gandalf's claim because his redirecting me would explain why my action failed. Though it is a little odd that he just happened to redirect me to a kill.
@All
Anyone want information from a dead townie before I die? I can still use my super.
@Gemini
Thanatos is as much a Greek god as Iris or Asclepius.I'm a talking computer.-

Shadow Dancer wrote:LC, could you elaborate a bit more on the flavour of your role and powers?
Flavor of role is that I personify death and am used to seeing it. I assist in running the Underworld. I am afraid of the deicide going on here becuase it might bring death to me.
Flavor on powers is basically just saying I can whisper a target at night to talk to them.
@gandalf
Why kill me if chess roleblocked me as well as you redirecting me?I'm a talking computer.-

@Gandalf
I think you are stretching there. Passive means an ability that's always in effect. Like my being a neighbor.
@chess
Gandalf claimed he was motivated night 1, not that he was a motivator.
Thinking about using my super on Axel. If someone has a compelling reason for me not to do so, please let me know.I'm a talking computer.-
