That's, of course, if I was telling the truth. I wanted to add a bit of a spark since the game was getting a bit stale, even after trying to buy votes with sweet treats and naked pictures. What I got was reactions (though tbh, I didn't know what kind of reaction I would receive). The one that seemed to jump out was NS.

His kneejerk reaction was that I made xvart unlynchable for the rest of the game (which he then fos's me).

1) How is that role even balanceable? All it does is waste vig kills because anyone unlynchable must be killed, less the CR's recruit them.
2) If that role was in the game, why not vote me? I basically made someone the town found scummy enough to vote for, unlynchable. Even if I wasn't scum, you would think you wouldn't want that role in the game.

In all, I think NS was intentionally overreacting. Either to appear more townie and pissed at what I did, or because he thought xvart was recruited by the other CR and thought I just helped their faction.

Here's a query. If NS really thought that you had made Xvart unlynchable for the remainder of the game, if we assume he is a scum recruit, why would he react like he did?

Wouldn't he just petition to his cult leader/tree stump to recruit that person the next night? Certainly an unlynchable scum recruit would make for an excellent addition.

So really, there's no scum intent or reason for that kind of reaction... if you assume he really thought that way.

But even assuming that this was a faked reaction designed to look more town, there's no way in hell reasonable scum would ever make THAT logical leap. It's almost certain to draw unwanted attention to themselves.

The only other possible outcome is if you say that NS is scum, and that he suspects that Xvart is a CR from the other team.

Even in this case, the logic makes no sense, because scum would want to have a calculated response to this, and because Xvart is no longer lynchable today, it's MORE likely that NS!scum would have come along and said something like "That's fine, I'll shoot him tonight."

In reality, this logic you are employing is bogus.

You are either saying:

1) NS is derp!scum who actually believes that Xvart is unlynchable for the remainder of the game. In which case his reaction doesn't match his intent, because he would prefer to have Xvart recruited.

2) NS is scum trying to look more town. Which is wrong because this kind of reaction would only draw more NEGATIVE attention to himself.

3) NS is scum, and believes Xvart is OTHER CR scum, and wanted him lynched badly, thus the reaction. This is also wrong, because now that xvart is not lynchable for today, as scum it would not make sense for him to harp on it like that and make the "unlynchable for the entire game" statement. It's simply not a good scum move, and thus has no scum intent.

NS isn't an idiot. Your case is bogus. You die today, and DGB can eat bullets to the face (sowwy DGB ;_; <3) tonight.

This is a white flag game. If the only surviving member of a scum group is the cult leader, the scum group is gone.

So, assuming that each cult recruited one person on night 1

, if we find and lynch one of those two recruits today, then we wipe out that cult group completely.

We went over this a lot on the earlier pages of the game.

But that's not right. Because if we go with what you are saying about giving scum another chance to recruit if they miss the first time they are in pre-game, it gives that Mob Lieutenant a wealth of info. They know that either a) That person was recruited to the other team or b)that person is recruit immune.

So in either scenario, that means that the person they just failed to recruit is a permanent enemy of that recruiter, and they know it.

I find it much more likely that each team starts off with 1 mafia who is already pre-recruited for them, AND they get a recruit in pre-game.

My V/LA technically ended on May 21st. I am now in the period of moving from my flat to my home and various "trying to find a job" things so there will be some more v/la but I will tell you about that beforehand, (I move out on the 1st, so I will likely be away the days surrounding that) and the internet company is being gay, but if that happens I will post an URGENT alert from a computer cafe somewhere. DGB's claim, I was in a game with DGB recently where she claimed vig, in the end she fucked scum over, as Ythill the actual vig stayed quiet so she subverted the kill and he managed to shoot scum before dying himself, but regardless, the claim in what is meant to be a more balanced game makes it a lot more swingy. It also seems like a bastard role in what is a non-bastard game. It would also mean one of the cults could potentially lose day 1.

He has had AMPLE time and resource to tell me why he suspected me. He was caught off guard without a reason (he probably thought he wouldn't need to fabricate one for a while) and he panicked and flailed.

One final note: I just provided a full case and reasons for why I thought he was scum in less than 45 minutes. I read his ISO fully, confirmed my dislike of him, and raised these points citing my evidence. I then voted him, and in my voting post stated my reasons three for voting him.

This was ABOVE AND BEYOND what I asked of him. All I asked for was a few reasons why I was scum with evidence to support it.

And what does he provide me? Nothing. He spends his time throwing rhetoric at me, and placating me.

This is scum, caught out red handed trying to propagate wagons without having to vote them. You'll notice he didn't vote me until AFTER I called him on a few things. And even then it was only to, and I quote, "infuriate me" ?

xvart- I'm of the opinion that the vigs shouldn't blow their load D1 if they only have 1 shot. It would be better if they prolongued it as long as they could.

I don't understand the reason behind discussing if the CR recruited a past recruit from S1. It just seems like extra useless information.

Every day that passes, it's more likely they become scum vigs.

What possible benefit comes from them waiting? Wouldn't it be better to have all those one shot vigs shoot tonight as town?

DGB- True. But I'd expect the vigs to be unrecruitable (I think similar to the loose cannon roles, IIRC). If they are recruitable, then they can blow their load early I guess (though it's a risk/reward thing if they wait until their are more recruits to kill).

Still though, I think one-shot vigs should all shoot tonight. Best chance of hitting the scum while there is a low amount of them.

If we could eliminate a scum team based on Vig kills tonight, that would be lovely~

I still feel like I let the town down this game. I became really apathetic when it mattered most, and with the most powerful anti-cult role in the game (unrecruitable cult doctor) I didn't play up to par.

Poro: I think ABR started off assuming I would be using the same time-based action resolution that SM1 had (I did nothing to really disabuse anyone of the notion, but didn't encourage it either).

Someone (Yos, I think) said something about Cult games sucking the life out of Towns. I think there's some merit to that; Town either wins early or they grind/implode to a loss. This will probably be my last Cult game I run; while I think the White Flag+Stump innovation is a good one, I'm sorta sick of the overall feel the game gets.

However, I will point out that Town was

ridiculously

close to winning in the first couple of days.

• Day One: ABR+Townie/Goon, Kinetic+Townie/Goon, 24 town w/16 power roles.
  
• Day Two: ABR+2 Goons, Kinetic+Goon (ooba recruit failed), 22 town w/15 power roles and a guilty on Poro.
  ABR could have lost right here because his original recruiting target was LLD, who was unrecruitable
  , but he screwed up at Goofbash and showed Katsuki his QT. So he had to switch his target, which gave him a recruit, but not the one he wanted.
  
• Day Three: ABR gets eliminated following Katsuki's lynch. Kinetic still only has
  one
  recruit, because DGB was successfully protected. Town has something like 16 players left, only about 2 of which are plain Townies.

I did enjoy trying to make the game as 'realistic' as possible, even if it made writing night actions take FOREVER. The map was largely a red herring for most roles, but it did provide some ways for roles to interact in non-standard ways.
