I know a lot of people are reading his volunteering as town, but I am not. Maruchan is a frequent day 1 lynch, iirc - being a newbie and still on the learning curve - and as scum, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a desperate bid to receive town reads he might not otherwise get. I could see him doing this as town, too, but it just seems a little too pre-planned for me. Doesn't read authentic.

Everyone else is in a sea of null at the moment.

All the plans so far sound good except for possibly sending Fate to the Panic Room with zero thought being given. This was probably a bad idea, but it's done.

I plan to stay in the Nexus until such a time when I think of a solid reason to move, if ever. I will spend my chits to make agreed-upon moves if I agree with them.

Oh, I forgot. I lean scum a little on LLD, but it's gut and no reasoning and I don't think she is obvscum and the speed of her "wagon" concerns me.

Jesus, I'm gone for a few hours and come back to pages. Quick thoughts:

1. - I have no problem with Maruchan moving to door control and staying there.

2. - I see the value in trios of people who can read each other well being in the Villa, but I can also see how three people who know each other so well could easily use the Villa to pull the wool over the eyes of others.

3. - If we're going for being purely open, Fate's typical gambits need to be put on hold as we can pretty much break the game using nongambits. Feel free to gambit, Fate, but if you do then you're pretty much resigning to an automatic lynch. Lynch all liars has neve been more appropriate.

4. - hitogoroshi is town as fuck.

5. - Regarding "rocking in QTs", I think Team Mafia proves Fate & I can handle ourselves quite well in a private QT.

6. - I'm starting to go braindead from the planning and stuff. I'm NOT good with statistics or probabilities or putting plans into motion and perhaps I don't QUITE grasp the intricate details of what we're trying to set up, so I think it's better I sit back and try and see who I agree with on a fundamental level. Like, I'm skipping over Regfan's #153 entirely because it all looks like gibberish.

7. - Maruchan is proving to be a great player. YOU'RE WELCOME FOR VOUCHING FOR YOU IN THREE DIFFERENT GAMES.

8. - While I get Maruchan wants to go to door control, I'd prefer to be there or the Villa so that I can just do what people tell me to or have SEEKRIT TEE HEE QT with SDC peeps.

Yes, that one, and I'll break it down what I liked about this post. I added the numbers for ease of reference.

1. Me neither - if Maruchan is indeed scum, this is a fairly safe place since town has him by the leash. Maruchan must prove himself by scumhunting anyway.

2. BIG ONE for me. This was my immediate concern when reading about the villas. QTs can be good for reads, but also good for manipulation, especially if the players know each other really well as has been put forth. And since the villa members cannot speak in thread, we will have to trust these QT reads without seeing the source material for ourselves. Reck voiced this concern first, big townpoints, especially considering he is one of the players that will probably be in the villa. If he were scum, keeping this to himself would be the best move.

3. This, this, this. I have nothing but vague fondness for Fate, but if he gambits in this game, I will NOT be pleased and will likely treat it as a scumclaim, depending on circumstances. One of the reasons I am bothered by Fate being sent to the panic room is because he is just acting as if he should be treated as obvtown even though he's given us nothing so far.

4. I agree with this one, too.

5. Don't care about this.

6. I also admit to this. I don't really have time to sit down and figure this shit out, so for now I have to ride along a bit - and just as a warning to all, the hurricane may put me without power at any given time - but I think later in the game I will be better at this when I have a better handle on things.

LB: "wagon" was in quotes for a reason. I meant that I didn't like the number of people who had expressed suspicion of LLD, often for little reasoning. It's all over the board.

Your vote is fine, for example, but in pregame, I remember it just kind of being decided lld was scum and I didn't know why. I couldn't decide if my gut lean was just subconscious sheeping or if I really saw something too.

In any case, I don't know what exactly makes LLD so scummy that she's "obvscum."

Then there's the whole "Mod, when's the deadline for votes", which is just odd given Klazam's analysis of the rooms in #6. It doesn't sit well with me. Finally, Klazam's #317, "Where is Magua?" Finally, there's Klazam's stance that the Potion Room should be avoided; more on that below.

I am saying I will not lynch LLD before you, given the choice. If you are scum, LLD is town. If you are town, your alignment has no bearing on LLD's alignment and she can be evaluated more individually.

I lean town on Fate, but it's not a strong read. Most of the reason is I don't see scum kidnapping themselves, but that role interaction is not set in stone. In order to further my read on him, I would like him un-kidnapped and am willing to help in that regard. My only real concern with Fate is that he is not scumhunting ... AT ALL. But that's not typical of his town OR scum games.
