Xanatos has successfully pinged my scumdar with his only two posts. While I don't think scum would have the balls to suggest such a terrible idea(zdenek), Xanatos flat out said it was a great idea. I'm not sure if he just wasn't thinking through the plan and its ramifications or if he's scum but he deserves a big ole'

Here is something I thought of.
In three separate sequences of claims, we all claim what we voted on, what we got and finally what we bid.
This will catch scum.

I was thinking three popcorn claims.

There's an alternative claiming idea, which is that all first claim the amounts that we bid, in the same order at the things we bid on appear in the first post and then in a second claim, cliam what we bid on.

Either of these should catch scum in lies, and at worst, generate a reasonably small pool of people who could be good lynches or who are on 1 v 1's.

That's actually a really good idea.. one question though.

Am I right in thinking if there's a tie for the highest bid, the role's just removed from the game? If so, then that plan would work I think, if not, couldn't Scum just claim a clashing high bid?

Neither will necessarily prove anyone to be scum, but it could. In either scenario, I expect that we'll end up with some 1 v 1's, and small groups of people that are sure to contain scum.

In the first scheme, scum would be forced to lock themselves into what they bid on first, then on what they actuallly got. Their numbers will have to agree with this. Considering that we all presumably used all 100 of our points, they might have to argue for some strange bids to get the numbers to work out if they want to lie.

In the second scheme, they'd be locked in to the amounts that they bid from the start, and partially locked in to what they actually bid on because of the order rules.

I also think it was pretty obvious that DX was trying to stop up the Nocmen wagon for town cred. It's also abundantly obvious that Parama is town and that chamber is town. implosion is town.

ML's push on me has been really insincere as well as half-assed, and you've been lurking a lot. This doesn't look like the town Magister Ludi that I've played with before. He is my first choice for scum if I survive tomorrow.

I'd say you've been coasting as you've failed to comment on the major lynching wagons period(Maru and especially David yesterday). The only wagon besides mine that you've commented on is the Nocmen wagon and even then you refused to take a stand on it, preferring to question Hoopla about it instead.

Usually you're chock full of reads on other players, tunneling has never been your style, even in Succession Mafia 2 where you got on my case for multiple days, you still were considering other reads. In this game, you're a one-hit wonder who has been singing the same tune all game.

Generally middle level players associate bad play with scum play though, so by trying to appear town as town you should also start to follow good town practices.

Quicklynches definitely hurt town. Parama pushing them all the time and not slowing done once Operation PoE didn't work really sealed the deal. However, this precedent was set by Maruchan using the dayvig to kill off Fate, who turned out to be the normal vig. And then he said that he only joined the game in the first place to use the dayvig.
