/Hijack

Noting that MUNSCM can be a very fun game - but with Lurkers present that it reduces the fun.

Acknowledging some players like to play at a quicker pace;

1. Suggests the council pass a resolution Replacing Lurkers

2. Strongly Suggests the council pass a resolution to replace EnPaceRequisemscat who hasnt posted since March 10th;

3. Acknowledging that Narninian would be willing to replace anyone in the game that needs it

4. Also Acknowledging that Narninan has been to Brasil and would Love to be a delegate from there

5. Strongly Suggests that EnPaceRequisemscat Retire as Delegate from Brasil and that Narninian be his replacement

I am speaking in favor of reopening the debate. I believe I am not alone in wanting to know the reasoning behind the sudden vote change - and I also believe there are certain issues to be brought up about the existence of the proposal.

As long as I'm still speaking in favor of the motion: I believe we need to pass the motion before we can continue furthur debate - If the delegate would like to explain his reasons - its best for him to vote in favor of the motion as well as so we can further discuss the proposition and its potential benefits and potential dangers.. (as the delegate from China inherently sees)

Point of Information to the Chair:
If the current motion passes - Isn't it correct that We will re-open debate and not immediatly re-vote? (if so I believe massive's motion is unnecessary and will only further delay our chance to discuss the resolution)

I would also like to speak against the motion to cacaus.

Many of the issues can be solved in debating of current resolution either by being a speaker against it (or for it) or asking questions of the current speaker.

The delegate from Angola
VOTES AGAINST
the motion for a caucus.

Point of Information to the Chair:
if a delegate from a veto country were removed from office (for example due to their country being nuked) would a delegate from another country be given that veto power? Can we make a resolution granting that veto power?

POI to the speaker:
One potential information gathering advantage of leaving the veto power in tact is that we can 'catch' veto empowered nations in the act of vetoing a nuclear strike on a nation that the whole thinks of as axis controlled. Do you believe the potential advantages of this information gathering tool is outweighed by the difficulties it would provide?

POI to the Speaker
Its obvious a majority of the assembly see the merits of this resolution. Do you believe a temporary removal of China's Veto powers would be appropriate?

VOTE: FOR
the motion.

If its decided in the caucus the shelved motion is the best idea, then we can do that - but another country may be decided to be a better target.

I do agree that a nuclear strike is in order, we know that there are countries that wish to nuke us - a pre-emptive strike if you will is definetly appropriate. As far as the targets in hand - I tend to agree with mathcam. If a country can't disagree with the majority and try to bring up points to counter without seeming scummy then this congregation will turn into a meeting full of lemmings (which would be detrimental to our decision making process).

So, a nuclear strike on Vraak or Silent Speaker may be in order.
