It seems to me, though, that *if* scum had a daykill, that would have been an excellent way to eliminate both Juls and FL if they were both town.
So announcing it created a risk of very-bad-stuff-happening. And not announcing it would not have prevented the same effect if your theory was right.

From Caboose and Zazie's perspectives, in order for the quicklynch to be a good idea, they'd have to believe that you were telling the truth, and that someone who gave you a note was also telling the truth. There just weren't a lot of pro-town players left besides themselves; and neither you nor the supposed note-passer could be held accountable if I flipped town.
