I just took a look at my all-time listening stats and it's undeniable what a positive influence the Song Contest has been on my musical experience! Meg Washington is my #1 most-listened artist ever - discovered through the contest. Watsky and the Zolas are both in my top 10 as well, and the same goes for them. That's hardly an exhaustive list of the great artists to whom I've been introduced through this endeavour, and I'm super-grateful to everyone who's taken part over the years! I'd be much the poorer for the absence of this thing.
My favourite discovery from this contest is Cassandra Jenkins: I absolutely adore
An Overview on Phenomenal Nature
. Waxahatchee is also a pretty frequent listen. Ironically, I don't think either got my 12 points at the time. Thanks, CDB and Infinity ((:

I'll also submit something at some point, but I haven't decided what yet

I was trying to be polite.
Oh yeah to be clear I was talking about what I perceive to be the reaction to my entry (which is ok!), not my reaction to the other entries (which is non-existent because I haven't listened to most of them yet)

But also yeah sometimes you get music that makes you go " not my taste"
