Eric Idle is also one of the least funny Python members. Unless really long scripted prose is your thing. I'd have gone John, Graham or Terry (Jones).

Probably my favorite British Actor/Comedian.

He's hilarious but not as versatile as Chapman or Jones. It's a tough call picking your favorite Python really, I can see arguments for all of them.
