No, no, you misunderstand. Which most likely means I was unclear and I apologize for that. I meant that I'm usually very good at picking up on things. Ages, hair colors, taste in music. I'm quite skilled in taking little things people say and being able to accurately paint a picture of who they are. I wasn't using long underwear to signify any great impracticality so much as I was trying to think of some real iconic clothing that nobody wears anymore but everyone would go "Yeah, I know what that is." Also, I wanted to say the word assflap.

I am not one to underestimate human stupidity, yes. Longevity doesn't necessarily equal value. My examples were not meant to say "LULZ, THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR LIKE 50 YEARS! But I like wearing it, and the makeup remover I usually use works fine, if a bit more slowly than...yanno...dish soap that makes my eyes want to die.

This is the sort of thing I never understand and always leads me back to the "Social conditioning" line of thought. I simply cannot fathom anyone rationally reaching the conclusion that they should put money and time putting chemicals on their face, chemicals that surely cannot be good for your health and chemicals that require either a payment of time or a payment of pain to get off.

I fully understand some people enjoy smoking. I just believe people who think that a single enjoyment, which is something that can be replicated (Unless you are living so sad a life that smoking is the only thing you could possibly enjoy, in which case you have bigger problems than me bitching about you) is worth forever damaging their bodies over are not using their thinking caps.

I enjoy going on mafiascum very much, but if my doctor was like "Quit going on mafiascum or run the almost certain risk of damaging your body in a myriad of fun and painful ways" I wouldn't go "Fuck you, Doc. My argument against "beauty over function", a group make-up is a part of, is under a similar though admittingly less dire argument structure. Enjoying something seems to me a poor justification for an ultimate sacrifice of autonomy, comfort, and to a lesser but still noticeable degree of health.
