Quixx is a game for up to 4 players. In it, you roll dice to cross out as many spots as you can from 4 colored rows, as shown here:
The primary rule of the game is that the numbers must be crossed out from Left to Right in each of the 4 colored rows.
Once you cross off a number, you may
White dice: [dice]1d6[/dice] [dice]1d6[/dice]
Red die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Yellow die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Green die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Blue die: [dice]1d6[/dice]

Marking off scoresheet example:
You can format your scoresheet differently if you prefer, as long as it's clear which #s you have striked off and how many penalties you have.

Player turn
The current player will roll all of the available dice on their turn. There are always 2 white dice, and the game begins with one of each colored die (red, yellow, green, and blue). A colored die will be removed when someone crosses off the final number on its colored row.
After the dice are rolled, either or both steps of the turn are taken to cross out a number.
Dice rolling code:
White dice: [dice]1d6[/dice] [dice]1d6[/dice]
Red die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Yellow die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Green die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Blue die: [dice]1d6[/dice]
Note: Please do not edit the post where you roll the dice - instead make a new post stating your dice selection(s)/crossed off number(s). If you accidentally post STATIC numbers (due to preview editing or forum lag) please re-copy the dice code and reroll them in your next post.
Step 1:
After the roll,
Any/all players
may use the total of the 2 white dice to cross out a number of any color on their personal scoresheet.
Step 2:
The
Active
player only (aka whoever rolled the dice) may use a single white die along with a single colored die to cross off the total of that white & colored die on their own scoresheet.
Remember that once you cross off a number, you may
never
cross out any other numbers in its colored row to the
LEFT
of that number.
The active player can choose to do neither of these steps: however, they must take a
Penalty
to do so. Each penalty gives -5 points at the end of the game, up to a maximum of -20.
Play then proceeds to the next player, who begins their turn by rolling the dice.
Turn example
Player 1 rolls <white 1 & 4, red 1, yellow 3, green 5, blue 3>.
Step 1: All players choose if they want to X off any color's 5 spot. Player 1 & 4 think about it, but leave it blank, while players 2 & 3 mark off the red 5 (player 2) and yellow 5 (player 3) respectively.
Step 2: Player 1 chooses to take the red 1 and white 1 together to X off their Red 2 spot. (Only the active player may use the colored dice!)
Locking a row
After
a player has crossed off at least 5 numbers in a row, they are allowed to cross off the final number in that colored roll when an appropriate roll is available to them. When that final number (12 for Red & Yellow, 2 for Blue & Green) is crossed off, the player crossing it off also crosses off the LOCK symbol (counting as an additional crossed off number for that row) on their sheet. Once a player has
LOCKED
a row, its die is removed from the game and no players may cross off numbers in that row. If a row is being LOCKED in Step 1, it is possible for multiple players to cross off either the same row or differing rows simultaneously.
Game End conditions
The game ends either at the end of a turn where the 2nd colored row has been LOCKED, or at the end of player's turn if that player gets 4 penalties.
Scoring
At the end of the game, count up how many numbers you crossed off from that row. If you locked a row, count the LOCK symbol as an extra number. Then, reference the point value for crossing off that many numbers either in the opening post scoresheet picture or below.

I believe you have to do the steps in order (taking the total of white dice before the white+colored die), so you can't take the green 5 then 6 since green 6 is left of the 5 - you could do red 5 & green 6 though?
(Also I'm gonna take a yellow 5 w/ your white dice)

what are these white dice doin'
I can't take a 2 anywhere, you can take a green 2 in Step 1 and lock that color if you want so I gotta wait on you for a sec before choosing between a green 3 (can't take if you lock it), blue 5, or a penalty
