I assume the most points total... otherwise there'd be no incentive to co-operate!

I might as well call mine CoolBot or something just to avoid copyright issues.

I think randomness is a perfectly viable strategy... and when creating a robot that can adapt to its opponent, it is one that must be considered. By all means, allow it.
Additionally, I think an order for matches should be established and robot code should be able to reference previous matches (which is currently disallowed).

Turn 1:
Pick randomly whether to defect or cooperate.
Turns 2-10:
Cooperate if the opponent did. Otherwise defect.
Cooperate if they look like they're using tit-for-tat.
Defect if they seem to be constantly doing so.
I think that's what he means...

Experimentalbot (Brutal Assassin) does something similar, but with devious intent. It makes you think it's going to forgive you round 7, then stabs you in the back.
The best weapon against tit-for-tat is a round 10 betrayal... but I don't see why it should spill over into 9, 8, or 7.

I think having two bots is cheap. Otherwise I'd choose one that always cooperates and one that always defects. The defector would score major points. Or maybe just two tit-for-tat cooperators to up each score. There are so many ways to cheat if you have two robots.
