In my opinion you can't possibly tell this early in a game. Posts can be faked.
this is a Bad Post and anyone who says you can't possibly begin to form reads on page 1 is wrong but I'm gonna keep my vote on Invisibility because he's deffo scum
I'm gonna make a couple more posts, I am playing from my phone so quoting multiple posts to respond to all of them is a nightmare and I will not be trying that

In post 35, Maestro wrote:ALSO, asking somebody “how do you feel about X” is next to meaningless, so I’d argue any information you may get is going to be similar. If you actually wanted an illuminating or specific answer, your question(s) it(them)self would be an
actual
question. See? I can put italicized emphasis on words in my sentences
Invisibility, can you clarify what about maestro made you feel this way? it feels weird I'm this circumstance to have this response to someone scum reading you.

I didn't notice that. I still have a finger of suspicion on you though
I think I believe that BlackStar really didn't notice this and that it wasn't an attempt to get a quicklynch that could be written off as accidental. I'm not sure whether he's town or not (it's possible to not count votes as scum, too) but I don't think this is a specifically anti-town post.

this feels fake as hell. you get out of RVS by creating content, not by demanding that others do it for you.

34 and especially 35 felt good
this is a bad and scummy response
why?
I asked you why you thought Maestro's posts calling you scum made you think he's town and you just said that the posts are good, but clearly if you're town you can't believe they're completely good, because the conclusion they draw—that you are scum—is something you would know to be untrue. it's perfectly fine to read someone as town based on their scum read on you, but it should be founded on the basis that their arguments feel genuine and meaningful, not on just generally thinking the posts where they call you scum are good. if you are town, your response to those posts should've been "I like the tone of these posts/the things Maestro chooses to take into account/etc, but here's why the conclusion drawn is incorrect." it feels like a lazy attempt to make yourself maybe look marginally better, but you're intense to buy into your own response.

voting with dice tags is a cherished tradition in "lovers mafia but X picks who scum is" games and it's legitimately a good way of generating discussion at this point in the game because of the lack of randomness in the setup itself

it's a mistake to assume scum won't bus in this setup; obviously, they lose if they bus *too* hard, but you can bus someone without them getting lynched.

bussing is far more about distancing than getting town cred; you can get positive benefits out of making it seem like you can't be scum with someone without lynching them, and it's generally better to do so. you're mischaracterizing what bussing is, and I think you're doing that intentionally. 148 basically reads as you saying "here's some people I couldn't *possibly* be scum with, because then I would be bussing them, which we all know school would never do."

I don't see that in 148. You're making a bad case here, Xyzzy.
Sure, distancing your partner by voting them is something that could happen in this set up, but do you really think Black star does that here? Yuo're more likely to be doing it.
VOTE: Xyzzy

pedit: Lol, so as soon as I lay out a case for you being scum you suddenly believe I'm scum?
Exactly.
are you saying me/BlackStar could be scum? that seems like a weird conclusion to draw here.

I'd rather not leave open the possibility that we end up with a tie given the mechanics around having a tie at deadline. I feel like Maestro is definitely town and I trust his instincts here, so
also here is an advertisement: I will be running a game called "lovers mafia but the mod picks who the mafia are and there's seven games and there's a points system, it's a whole thing" in the very near future
anyway Maestro your extremely rapid unvote after my vote was scary!!! I was very worried we would lose because you saw that my vote was horseshit
