HI.

Forgive me if I'm the noob of the group, but what is this popcorning you guys speak of? 1 at a time game number claim to allow for CC or something like that?

So far espresso's play does concern me a bit. Mainly paranoia over the Miller claim (although I understand why a true Miller may want to take that approach) but it also concerns me a bit that they are suggesting a mass numberclaim already.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I may be out of my league here in terms of experience (this is only my 2nd or 3rd theme game, and the concept of this one it is totally new to me) but I don't really see the advantage of numberclaiming this early. Isn't that something we should hold off on for day one until, say, someone is at L-1? If I understand this correctly, the purpose of a numberclaim is to eliminate certain fakeclaim options for scum, no? But I also see it as a tool scum can use to compare someone's play with potential roles from their gamenumber, which could hurt us with NKs.

I'm surely not considering all aspects of this concept, but on Day 1, so far I personally feel like we don't need to be massclaiming anything.

To clarify, I can't honestly say how I would play the Miller. And I don't even think your claim is scummy. Like I said, it's mostly paranoia that scares me here. My opinion on the numberclaim situation (which may be poor, I don't deny that) in contrast to yours is really what's fueling my vote at this point. But without both our differing opinions and the miller claim, I don't think I would be voting you. To put it bluntly, the fact that you are claiming to be what is basically a VT with negative town utility, and my numberclaim opinion vs yours makes me feel, so far, like lynching you is at best lynching scum, and at worst lynching a "less-than-VT" if that makes sense.

That's not to say that I outright want you lynched but I need to make a stance here to understand how sound my logic is, and see if and why others agree with me.

Still, other than for WIFOM reasons why would scum fake a accidental hammer on a miller claim? That role is less useful to us than VT so scum would probably leave it as a mislynch or at least wait and see if someone else was gonna hammer.

I got a guilty result. I'm on mobile while on break at work. Gonna look for his partner(s?) when I get home later. I dont expect to find much though since the entire reason I alignment checked him was based on his lurkiness. Hopefully the way his partner(s?) Interacted with him will give us something to work with.
