My magical 3p game gut pings are telling me you're the scum-

I think the idea behind this was to explicitly claim a scum role that isn't the scum role in this game to make us think he doesn't have the scum Role PM

That is correct. I realised it pretty quickly after that post. But I wanted Drew to come on and post something before getting into it.-

I'm assuming there was an amount of intention on your part if you think that's an obvious enough conclusion?-

It would take *some effort*. More effort than I devoted early this morning when I initially thought your post was scummy. In post 17, biancospino wrote: The reasoning you did offer is quite linear. As long as you start assuming that 8 did likely come from scum, even if it was actually on gut which I don't believe, surely it wouldn't take any effort at all to notice how it contradicts the setup and to produce a reasonable-sounding explanation for why that's scummy.
Gotta love the charged question thou. You do understand that it's not possible for me to both have held that (1) yours is an obvious conclusion, and (2) I did that with any amount of intention, right? Because, as it turns out, nobody save maybe a Jester may intend to induce the obvious conclusion that they're scum
There's more to why it looks bad to me than just 'you claimed the wrong role and I think it was on purpose'. It's the delivery. The way you posted it looks fake to me. I could see myself as scum awkwardly deciding to come into the thread making that kind of post.
Is reaching scummy in this gamestate? In post 18, Doctor Drew wrote: I really feel like Klick is reaching here.-

I wanted engagement and content
I also wanted to see your choice of introduction before making it too easy for you to make a good one
I don't see a good reason for you to assume me waiting for you to arrive = 'Klick!scum thinks I'm more likely to be swayed than bianco'
I think that's an assumption you brought to the table outside of this scenario-

To clarify: I don't see a reason for you to assume this over any other given reason for me waiting for you to arriveIn post 21, Klick wrote:I don't see a good reason for you to assume me waiting for you to arrive = 'Klick!scum thinks I'm more likely to be swayed than bianco'
Unless you just can't think of any other reasons I'd want that-

What you choose to post is informative even if it doesn't have substance
I'm more interested in what people choose to do than I am in actively directing the gamestate-

Like you have quite a bit of focus on 'what Klick is doing feels performative and like reaching'
I'll again ask if these are things you expect from scum and not town in this sort of scenario-

Why are you hedging? You can't have it both ways. You want to call things out as 'reaching' and 'performative', but you don't want to commit to actually seeing anything alignment indicative from those behaviours when pushed on them. In that case, why bring them up at all?
I didn't ask 'can it be from scum', I asked 'do you expect this from scum *and not town*'-

But you have no idea what to expect from this setup? What is the baseline for that belief? In post 28, Doctor Drew wrote: Well then I rephrase because in my head it was more committal.
I think you are scum.
And you don't need explained why town would potentially benefit from performative behaviour in a setup with inherently little info.In post 29, biancospino wrote:
@Klick, you don't need explained why that is a thing that scum especially would want to do.In post 23, Doctor Drew wrote: But it isn't like I offered any real sort of content or was making a bunch of posts, so I can't really see any reason you waited for me.
I don't get why you wouldn't have just said it when you supposedly thought of it, fills performative in a way that was directed at me.
I mean, you didn't even ask my opinion one way or another once I did post.
Scum wins by swaying the one they can't hammer to vote for the other townie. Like say, by being performative in a way directed at the swayee
I agree!
And that is an impossible standard. Something must be outrageously egregious not to be reasonably expectable from townIn post 25, Klick wrote: Like you have quite a bit of focus on 'what Klick is doing feels performative and like reaching'

Which is why I'm skeptical of the claim that Drew thinks I'm scum for 'reaching' and 'being performative'.-

I put some thought into this earlierIn post 30, Doctor Drew wrote: I don't even know how to procede vote wise.
I think optimal strategy is to just have the towniest looking player not vote first
If there's a triangle of suspicion then shrug whoever feels most confident places the first vote-

I find bianco's reasoning more questionable than your reasoning as coming from a town perspective
I don't really understand why you're viewing reaching and being performative as scummy. I am doing both of those things, but I'm doing them because I feel like they're an innate requirement of this setup in order to produce more tangibly readable content.-

I find this to be a poor conclusion to come toIn post 14, biancospino wrote: The timing on this is all off.
I don't believe it took you 8 hours to realize this was the reason for your alledgedlygutread in 10
It's really easy to come up with reasons this take isn't valid
What could I have been doing for 8 hours in the day that would have prevented me from engaging further :thonk:-

I also think this is a fairly towny postIn post 20, Doctor Drew wrote: But Klick, I get the feeling, especially since you said you were waiting for me to join before you said anything, that you thought it would be easier to turn me against Bianco then Bianco against me.
Bianco claiming goon, yes can be from scum Bianco, but is NAI to me.
I don't think you're particularly considering the way scum has to play this setup in this post-

It wasn't a sensible inference. It's also not correct. In post 44, biancospino wrote:
You did not stop "engaging" for 8 hours, you broke the same thought into two pieces. And you admitted yourself that you did so deliberately, so I wasn't even wrong. In post 39, Klick wrote:

You don't get to play the card that I'm not allowed to infer stuff (that, remember, you ended up admitting yourself) unless I can exclude that anything else is possible. It is very easy indeed to come up with reasons why anything at all couldpossiblybe explained away; again you're asking for an impossible standard.
Did I catch you for the wrong reason or something?
Here's the order of events:
1. I had a gut negative reaction to your claim.
2. I posted about it.
3. I realised what it was that was bothering me.
4. I decided to wait before following up.
And yes I am annoyed at this situation, because one of you is responding to this in an annoying way as scum, and one of you is doing it as town. It's not 'caught for the wrong reasons', it's 'incorrectly tunnelled for wrong reasons'. What you are picking up on is me truthfully arguing back against incorrect reasoning.
If I were scum in this situation, it wouldn't be particularly difficult to come up with something more persuasive than the truth. I'm arguing what I'm arguing because I'm town and it's true.-
