It seems like a good idea to me for us to reveal what mafia (and maybe third party) roles we picked as they could potentially be in the game.

it's relevant because i was saying your set up spec was beyond what was meaningful and rather than consider for a moment that it could be you stood your ground as if you had to defend yourself. continuing in the vein of set up spec for post numbers isn't bad. what is bad is the lack of scumhunting in favor of set up spec that won't do anything. thinking that presenting yourself that you're a) contributing and b) in no way not contributing by doing this was suspicious, and deserved a vote.

Not sure what's even slightly hard to understand here.

consider for a moment that one of us had to PM the mod from another account to secure their slot and that person may have also sent their picks while doing so, you may understand why they may have been ticked off and willing to question your intent while having to fulfill the request of post numbers.

i had five posts before being put to L-1, and two were about the game while neither had been serious. i wasn't about to give a serious reply, nor was I going to be hammered. claiming hated was about the only thing i could care to do, because there was nothing else in the thread to work with at the time.

So Vedith was revived by what seems like a reviving cult, but Ebola-chan doesn't seem to work like that

(Player must target a player every night. Has a 70% chance of killing. If the player is not killed, the user will die and the role of the target will have a modifier of ebola)

Is there another role that could revive people as Ebola-chan? Googling "site:mafiascum.net grandest idea ebola" comes up with nothing, simply "ebola" comes up with too many nonsense results, whereas "third party ebola-chan" gives you this role from the thread.

This is a really weak role unless the user can't actually die without lynch. And since Vedith was dead and revived as this, it's pretty safe to say that Maruchan changed the role. Probably gave it a cult revive upon failed kill.

Next, Vedith was shot. At first I considered it was an eager vigilante not taking any risks and decided Vedith was dead and should stay dead. Why the rush if town are so prepared to pull the trigger like that? If you can kill Vedith in a few hours, you can give it a day for everyone to post about what happened yesterday and the NK. More obviously it looks like a mafia kill: they knew they had nothing to do with the revive, and at best they kill a confirmed townie, and at worst reveal a third party, which is still great for mafia because third parties are put in games to weaken mafia's overall power.

Now to set up spec: can't we only have 1 third party? If our TP is Ebola-chan, what the fuck is McMenno? I don't know what went on yesterday but it seemed obvious that he was some kind of jester. Maybe he wins from lynch, or from being NKed. That's what I thought at least. I also considered he may win from hammering enough lynches, but being so obvious about it makes me think you could never win.

NKA makes me think someone wanted to increase suspicion on McMenno. That's the most obvious intention, but that seems unnecessary... It also makes me think someone wanted to increase suspicion of Vedith's wagon in general. Indeed with Hopkip dead, with only a few outliers everyone else was on Vedith's wagon. Since I know I'm town I already know there was scum on Vedith's wagon, so all this NK will do is give me another reason to death tunnel someone on the wagon.

It seems like a bad kill in general. People were willing to vote Hopkip yesterday, others expressed reasons not to care about his opinions very much. The slot would have been good to keep around.

All I can gather from the kill is that the mafia is bad.

I was writing out a long post and in my conclusions I was writing how we're going to deal with the Ebola TP. Then I realized there's 5 alive, 2 are ebola wincon, one is mafiaso and two of us are town. And we're probably at game point as soon as the graveyard ebola vote. Literally everyone besides ebola have to agree before the dead can hammer LOL... Hail fucking mary.

Okay I think we have one shot at cracking this shit. I wasn't feeling inspired by this game at all because it came off as a clownfiesta, but between the end of day post and Creature's flip I think I understand what's going on now.

I still don't think telling McMenno to fuck off was the wrong choice. My theory about him feeling unable to fake jester any more meant being legit was his only way out, but I'm pretty sure he had a wincon like having everyone alive claim by a certain day. I used a role like that a long time ago. We'll find out at the end of the game. I don't buy that he was trying to work with the town, but we probably could have shaken more info out of him I guess.

Next: the day wasn't skipped. It was a no lynch. McMenno & the dead supposedly voted no lynch... That doesn't make sense does it? Except I believe the Ebola TP to be a death cult. I imagine they infect someone during the day, and they die at night... Except they aren't really dead, they're zombified. They have to win with the Ebola TP, because there's NO other reason why they would vote for a no lynch. Creature also lied about reviving Vedith, so it's safe to say once you're infected with Ebola, your wincon changes, you die, but you can still vote from graveyard. It's very likely that the Ebola TP revived Vedith as a one-shot ability, as no one-town or mafia-decided to CC him.

With 4 to lynch we're probably at lynch or lose already, but because of how awkward day ended yesterday, it's likely that the dead have to manually vote and we have a window of activity where we can find the Ebola TP.

I suggest the mafiaso with the day kill work with the town today to shoot Ebola source. If you don't shoot today we're assuming you have no kill. Keep in mind with my theory it's likely someone new was infected today, so by refusing to shoot and work with us you're throwing everything onto our lynch today, which we can't perform without your help at 3 to lynch. You might as well shoot instead of lynch, because waiting for three of us to coordinate may take longer than the ebola-dead.

Only the mafiaso can kill someone without input. If we put a vote on the board like gameplay, it becomes all that much easier for the graveyard to hammer, much less the ebola infected and carrier. If everyone comes online we need to coordinate and declare someone the ebola TP immediately and end day as soon as possible. Until then, no votes. Only a daykill, if available. Shoot right or we lose.

So why didn't they vote to lynch McMenno yesterday? Maybe they were worried about my "voting McMenno now is claiming scum" post. Maybe they needed him to die of ebola rather than be lynched to convert him upon death. It doesn't matter. It was against their wincon in some way to lynch McMenno and no lynch was the easy route.

To go back to my "you're scum and I'm going to prove it" re: gameplay posts yesterday, my tell was that he was immediately interacting with Vedith as soon as day started and didn't seem to bat an eye that despite no one claiming they picked a reviver for this game, someone was revived! Going back to my Creature the liar statement and that the Ebola TP must be the reviver as well due to no CC on Creature, this makes gameplay the Ebola TP.
