Deckbuilding Roguelike Games

I've been really into these games recently, mostly Slay the Spire and Monster Train, but I want to expand. Gimme your best recs.

Slay the Spire is SUCH A GOOD GAME.

I have over 500 hours on it.

Have had a brief look at Monster Train, but I don't feel I need another deckbuilder atm. Mainly because I haven't got all my Ascension runs done.

Sincere question about Ascension on Steam since I briefly played it on Mobile, do you need to buy each deck individually, or was that just the mobile version?

Oh, I forgot Origins, which I have on my phone, it's pretty dope, legit forgot it was a deckbuilder because I just forget about my phone games sometimes.

Oh, right, the parts I have not played yet because I am not good enough at the game yet.

I have beaten Monster Train, though. I'm better at that.

Could I get one short line on what these games have in common with Rogue so that I might be inspired to actually try one?

Procedural generation along with permadeath. Granted, the term is more expansive now than it was even when I started playing roguelikes appx 10 years back.

I have heard good things about Library of Ruina in terms of a rogue-lite cardgame. I haven't played it myself but it's a 'sequel' to Lobotomy Corporation which I have played (Lob Corp isn't a card game though. It is still a good rogue-lite though, check it out)

Noted, I got a few early access games last weekend, but have not played them enough yet to say whether they are really good. One, though does have an interesting thing where you can either have combat or a social interaction.

Ahh this thread actually prompted me to do some more research on Library of Ruina. It's apparently has deck-building similar to Slay the Spire but it's also a party builder and each member of your party has their own deck. So it's more towards Darkest Dungeon on the scale of permadeath - death of your characters, not the campaign itself. You play as the guardians of some cursed library and turn intruders into books. And it looks so stylish...

Sadly it's not on sale in the current steam summer sale. But I want to pick it up when it goes on sale eventually though.

Oh, I was playing some Griftlands last night before I got pulled into heavy Ozark watch. That's the deck builder that has a negotiation deck and a brawl deck for the first character. It's good. Will be checking the Spy sometime today (Supposed to be bad weather, so I suspect the girlfriend and I will be inside).

I've been trying so hard to win a run as Umbra. I'm having trouble with it. I do like the Melting Remnants a lot though

Banners of Ruin is really good early access with some great art.

New updated to Monster Train today, going to play that sometime after I leave work this evening. Perhaps even tomorrow.

I have been playing Rogue Adventure on the phone, good game for a phone game.

Takes a bit of work to get to the good decks, like the assassin, Necromancer, and Paladin, but, it's a free game.

Anybody here playing Loop Hero? It’s a pretty interesting take on the genre

I want to get this, but with the wedding coming I'm limiting my purchases of new games.
