10 days is not a lot of time, but it is plenty to come up with a few good bandwagon targets and pick one if we are quick about it. I don't want a repeat of Greasy Spot's bandwagon where we just got to the real discussion slightly too close to the deadline.
Vote: ashmite84- your vote on Greasy Spot looked like a quiet attempt to get an easy lynch during deadline, and while others were actively debating it, you kept out of sight.QUACK-

Completely beats me. I assume that is an anti-town role since she was in red, but past that...Dasquian wrote:Anyone know what "Screwball" might mean? I've never heard of such a role before.
I can't be sure either that she was of the same group than Alabaska J, because BM usually paints all anti-town roles in red (see elemental mafia : there were 4 anti-town groups + 1 SK, all in red).
And that's not even sure that she was anti-town : maybe that role was to "screw with us" by turning up anti-town while she was in fact town.
I must admit I'm lost here. If anyone has any idea, go ahead. All lurkers unite! And jump off the nearest cliff. Now.-

I think it's very likely that there are two anti-town groups - almost inevitable, in fact, since DGB (apparently anti-town) was "sloppily eaten", which sounds like a separately-aligned bad guy did the killing to me.
Mafia and werewolves seems most likely; I still don't know where that puts DGB, though.QUACK-

Hmm that's strange that you say that... if we're assuming mafia+werewolves, how would DGB not be mafia, since (still under this assumption) she would have been eaten by a werewolf ? I kinda doubt there would be 3 anti-town groups for a 12-player game.Dasquian wrote:Mafia and werewolves seems most likely; I still don't know where that puts DGB, though. All lurkers unite! But this isn't a 12-player game, is it? It's arolling12 player game in which we're going to end up with 20+ players when it's all said and done.
DGB = Cult Leader, maybe? I need to reread...again.The Newbie Queue ALWAYS needs ICs and Mods!
Are you willing to help out? Check the Queue title to see what roles we need filled!-

That's why I don't understand. She clearly wasn't aligned with the sloppy eaters, implying mafia, but I don't know what "Screwball" means, or does. Perhaps it was a mafia power-role, perhaps she had nominal membership but her own agenda? It's hard to say.lord_hur wrote:

I've never heard of a screwball role. From the flavour the first thought is that she was killed by some sort of scumgroup but in this game you never know. Could be some sort of vig that is made to sound like scum. Re-reading Nightson and DGB....In a permanent state of Limited Access. I'll understand if I'm replaced in my current games.-

A day with no dialogue. 10% of our day, wasted.
We're coming up to a third of the entire gone - I'm currently pushing an ashmite bandwagon and, if in four days time with only three or four days left on the clock, there are no credible alternatives, I'm going to do exactly what I did yesterday. I don't want to do this, hence this post.
Thisis the time everyone should be building their bandwagons, so we can actually talk about them and pick one before the deadline hits. If you don't, the deadline's still going to hit and there'd better be no whining when the only plausible lynch is ashmite.QUACK-

Currently on holiday, see sig. Internet access is 2 pounds an hour where I am, so I'm not really spending much time on. I'm aware of current events and still hold my suspicions on ashmite and Nightson, but I'll need a bit longer at the computer to have a bit of a read up. I know the deadline is fast, so I'll get to it the day I return (Saturday). Should we try to get an extension again?Primpod 11:13 pm
chamber can you please come to ukmeet
i would love to finally touch your face-

Dasq: 1. You advocated lynching mnowax for his actions even though you said you were pretty sure he was town.
2. In the "Sigh. Bored of this game now" post, you seemed to give up. I thought this scummy as it sounded like scum decrying a set-up which might allow the town to score an easy if not particularly thrilling win.
3. You kept saying you weren't so hot on the GS wagon, and it wasn't brilliant etc. but when there was a sniff that we might go with someone else, you acted like it was a foregone conclusion.
I realize you've answered these elsewhere but it's the best I've got for now.
Fos: Dasq
I didn't keep quiet on purpose. I haven't had time to properly post, and I'm having the same trouble and drawing assessments like you've given me inallmy ongoings.
Like you claim, I saw GS as the best choice we had at the time.In a permanent state of Limited Access. I'll understand if I'm replaced in my current games.-

Thanks for the answers - I did defend against those elsewhere but I'll do them again for convenience.
1. It looked like were all going to get murdered for speaking out against mnowax. It was a very rare case in which knowingly lynching a townie appeared to be better for the town than it would be for scum. That changed when he stopped killing.
2. This was just frustration about mnowax's attitude. At that point, it felt like we were all on mnowax's powertrip instead of playing Mafia.
3. The GS bandwagon was pretty rubbish, but no one else presented a different one til very late on in the day. It's possible that the alternate lynches that were touted were scum, but we didn't have the breathing room to find out if they were good lynches or notand still get a decent lynch if they were not. Basically if we'd tried to run you up in the last couple of days of D1, we'd have had no time to decide if it was a good idea or not - it'd have been a blind lynch and therefore worse than lynching GS.
Part of Mafiaisdebating multiple viewpoints though which is why we need the potential suspects on the table now, so everyone has a chance to pick as best they can before time becomes a factor. Thanks for posting.
Nightson... you've had four days, finished recalibrating to DGBscum yet?QUACK
