My initial reaction to my role was "holy shit that's antitown". I doubt I would have used any abilities if I hadn't had a neighborhood, where I could document when/why I used it and feel confident the info would make it into the game thread in the event I met an untimely demise.

This was fun to watch!

I wish I’d had time to play! When Cabd told me who was playing, I was super bummed I couldn’t play. Although my luck I’d have drawn scum and hated my entire life. Lol
When zmuffin quoted your sig during Day 0, I was like...wait what? Tammy???

It was kinda odd to do trajectorytm analysis without using the word, and also without describing what I was seeing in the usual ways. Without meta on so many players (f'rinstance it didn't occur to me that Bell was in the game, because I didn't know he was back at MS), I relied much more heavily on trajectory, tone and timing than I have in a long, long time.

I thought the page per phase restriction was beneficial to the game. During day 0 and day 1 I was mostly waiting until I had a few posts I wanted to respond to before making replies. To some extent that contributed to my activity fade, but I think the bigger factor was the neighborhood.

Your remark about someone suggesting people read the Tales of You game must be a sociopath was the other post that made me think "Tammy???".

The possibility of Tammy being suspicious of Syr on D0 was one of the more surreal moments in this game.

Does it matter in the end if town has been wrong enough that we get to that gameday? Maybe not. It's a different sort of ello, but it's ello. With a clear on Ruler, ok then.

Please don't let that gameday happen without a clear on Ruler.
Why does every post you make sound like you're going to die.
Because I'm treating every gameday like my last. And treating every content-post like it will soon be something confirmed town said.

It's usually safe to assume my rolecard says I'm morbid town.

I am losing control.

First of all, Novak was killed during the night. We had thought he would be safe in the brig, behind all those security doors. And I don't know anyone stronger in hand-to-hand fights than Novak...he certainly wouldn't have gone down easily. But there he was, disembowelled on the floor of the cell, eyes staring up at the skies, mouth in a twisted grimace. What were we thinking?

Then Ensign Woolf died. She had known she was going to die for a long time now. The implant we had to install on her neuropathways to revitalise her after the incident on Aran Alpha had given her a keen sense what was to come, but being here really pushed her over the edge. It seems that fate is not quite as nailed down here as we would have thought; she confided in the crew that her date of death was always shifting, changing almost daily. I can only imagine the torture she would have felt as it changed last night...

And to think, we had actually considered locking her up. She rushed into the temporal gate, sure...but with that burden, I entirely understand her desire to see what was happening after her death. She knew she was meant to die, and just wanted a glimpse of a future that was out of her reach...

There are not many of us left now; nearly half of us are dead.

To make matters worse, our scanners continue to malfunction with each passing day. We have previously found reprieve in the night, but it seems that we will be in for an abrupt awakening. Something has intensified the light coming from the closest star, and now I fear we must add a difficulty sleeping to our list of problems. It may not sound like much, but I dread to think what this will be like when my crew want to tear each other's throats out as a matter of course. Then again, most of the deaths we have suffered have happened at night, so this might not be a bad thing after all...

see the anonymity was good because i know i'd sure as shit get tinfoiled if anyone knew who i was

was also very funny because i got townread for things like being abrasive, which, uh, is not a towntell for me (i was going to make a crack about never being out of my scumrange if i got the opportunity to post before the end of the master phase but the threadlock was too fast)
The first flavor post just sitting out there for what seemed like weeks was heart-stopping enough, thankyouverymuch!

It was an issue, especially during day 0. I misjudged how important detailed notes would be in processing day 0, 1 and to some extent 2, at least for me. referring back to them wasn't as important as the act of writing things out. It helped a lot to mentally cement player trajectories since the mental hooks between avatars and posts were so thin.

Unfortunately (or not!) most of my notes were in text files rather than my private pt. Some of the more important stuff made it into the neighborhood in intermediate form. I wanted to be able to dump analysis in the game thread without needing to massively paraphrase, but I wound up not doing many analysis dumps after all.

I would play this flavor again without hesitation, avatars and all. The design is awesome and I feel like we explored about 40-50% of the possibilities. The various entanglements my role could have had with Berserker and Foreigner never came close to firing as far as I can tell. Probably a good thing for my sanity's sake. Winding up in as many as 3 neighborhoods would have seriously tweaked my paranoia.

The player list is awesome, too! I reluctantly came out of mafia retirement to play a Cabd game, and this game was totally worth it.

Thanks for saying truly nice things about everyone, petapan!

I do know Empire, and Regfan as well. It's somehow not surprising that you have a background in EpicMafia. Some of my favorite MS players hail from there.

He did have a million different accounts at EM. He's played here under at least 3 accounts. He's a lot of fun to play with. We've both always been town in our games, though!

Nothing wrong with a paraphrase, but I may branch out, if only to see all the meta-consternation.
