does anyone here play guilty gear? Strive comes out in April and it seems pretty cool, some new gameplay was revealed today

roman cancelling now also makes your opponent move in slowmo for a split second, the clock is to communicate that

I’m just sad that they removed her air projectiles that get stronger the more tension you have, those were cool

Unless that’s just her j.D

But I doubt it

The loss of her super unique play style is tragic fir sure but I think everyone knew that it couldn’t work in strive. I mean, what would happen to the houses on screen transition?

true, but we'll see. if you can cancel all your normals into the attack command it shouldn't be too bad

also it looks like its going to be way harder to sandwich the opponents with jack-o than with other summon characters like zato, because you have no easy way to get a goon behind the opponent

yeah but if you think your opponent is just going to let you:
pull out a minion
jump
throw it OVER THEM (so it's not hitting them)
land
without getting punished on landing?

I guess it's feasible as an option for okizeme but it'll never work in neutral
of course this is all wild speculation since the character isn't out yet. if she has some equivalent tech to zato drunken shade boosting to get minions behind the opponent then I'll be all the happier. but the best I'm hoping for right now is ambiguous crossups where you place a minion and jump over the opponent, commanding it to attack as you're above their head

True it seems like pulling one out mid combo is optimal for a lot of things
