Ashlyn looked onward at the crowd, already reaching for her pike and crossbow. "Hello there worldly,

Demonic

, and otherworldy creatures! I'm sure you're all too happy to see a lady do some magic, but I have a few different tricks up my sleeve." She looks onto the crowd to see if anyone reacted to her Abyssal translation of Demonic.

She sticks her pike into the floorboards, climbing on top then balancing on it, and reading her crossbow to take aim at the giant target.

Ashlyn isn't as trusting to this city guard. Why couldn't he gather up some troops to take care of this? But she puts these thoughts aside, after all the silver piece wasn't much payment for this little talent show here.

Ashlyn is a little disgruntled that she won't be getting any money in advance, but she hides this fact from the others.

Yes, the others! An.. interesting lot they are. She will try to stick with them for a little while. This quest seems like it might lead to some.. interesting treasure.

Ashlyn follows the Halfling nonchalantly, wondering what devious plan he might have in store.

"Alright, Net.. Nath.. Nataniel. What was your name again?"

I would like it pointed out now before it comes up later that Ashlyn can be kind of a dick, or even cruel. I'll thematically dampen it out because our party is her friends, but as forewarning that I may lash out at your characters.

Ashlyn looks rather unamused by Nathaniel and Cael.

"Do neither of you know how to survive out in the wilderness? Ah, whatever, I need some arrows and maybe a hunk of meat.

Ashlyn looks around the town for a weapons shop in search of more arrows (bolts).

Ashlyn buys 40 bolts for 2gp.

"Archers behind wizards you say?"
Ashlyn places her crossbow on Cael's head, as if she was using his head as a sturdy resting place, before taking it off.
"Nah, you're too short to be a steady stand."

She then turns to the Elf, holstering her crossbow.
"I brutalize living things until they are no longer recognizable. You know.. to make sure they're dead."

"Yeah, well if the devil intruded into your house and gave you a curse, you might've grown a little spiteful too."

She looks away from the Elf and onward at the cave entrance. She was acutely aware of the distinct smell of blood reeking out of it.

Ashlyn tries to divine what animal might cause such a stench, or maybe how long ago it was killed.

I want to do a tiny bit of ret-conning and say that my Traveler's clothes are just the fur and head of a wolf that I hunted.
Also, totally forgot to post Ashlyn's Sheet. Heres it be.

Ashlyn takes aim at Goblin #4 with her rather cross bow, yelling out "No one shoots better than me and lives!"

Ashlyn seemed to have been a little lucid. Maybe sniffing animal blood wasn't the best idea.

She turns to Bramley

"50 gp? For what exactly? That sounds wildly unsafe."

Ashlyn seemed much cheerier than usual after hearing Bramley's words.

"A.. cult? That sounds.. intriguing."

She was invested in this mission, because it was of personal significance.

Ashlyn studies the bodyguard for any flaws in his defense, or any opportunities to socialize.

As the music fades, Ashlyn takes a deep breath, as if rejuvenated from the ceremony. For a moment, she remembers what it felt like before her curse.

Ashlyn, after remembering why the group was here, rushed over to Tanzime.

"Can I speak to you privately for a moment? There is something in particular that I need to discuss with you."

"I would like to speak somewhere secluded, such as a back room or a closet."

Ashlyn pulls up on her wolf hide to reveal the claw mark on her side, before pulling it back down.

"I have been cursed by a damned forest fey with blood magic, and I want it gone. Is there anything that you could do to help me?"

"I.. I don't know! All I know is that ever since it gave me this damn scar, I've been having visions of lycanthropy and such. I also felt a little bit more electric, like some newfound magic was infused within me."
