@ Erratus Apathos: Why are you voting for Gremwell?
@ Crywolf: Which is worse, a player who posts but doesn't really say anything? Or a player who doesn't post and is replaced by one who gets involved?
Have you reconsidered since the deadline was confirmed?Goatrevolt wrote:Yar, I be keepin' the black spot on Gremwell till our Cap'n gives us information on how long we be on deck. Then I be considerin' his fate again.
Maybe not scummy to be suspicious of it; but to be nervous of it? Arrh! Thats a different matter. And what is suspicious about an early day two bandwagon on a lurker? If two votes can even be called a bandwagon.ClockworkRuse wrote:... are you telling me it's scummy to be suspicious of a wagon starting like that?
humscunter seems to be AWOL

Just the next wagon? Or are you going for a lynch here? Apart from posts 207 and 222, almost all your posts suggest to me that you're just tagging along after targets picked by others.Jebus wrote:Vote: Springlullaby
This is my personal choice for the next wagon. This is more of a vibe I'm getting from him than actual evidence I can back up, though.
@ Springlullaby: Who are your three highest suspects at the moment?
@ Gremwell: What do you make of EA and Jebus?
And what did you make of his replies?militant wrote:I am just waiting for Clock to reply to the questions that have been asked of him.

It would have been fun to keep up with pirate talk the entire game, but I'm far too lazy for that kind of dedication . I'll probably throw it in from time to time, though. There's something hugely satisfying about calling someone a wench.
I've been thinking about it, and I'm honestly not sure how to play this here.Huntress wrote:Have you reconsidered since the deadline was confirmed?
Gremwell I'm certainly less suspicious of after I dropped my 2nd point against him. I still really dislike the "Oh No, we're down 2 townies with nothing to show!" talk, because that type of stuff is the kind of things scum are attracted to. It makes you look like you're out for the good of the town, without actually helping it in any way.
I'm suspicious of Erratus, and his recent Gremwell vote with lackluster reasoning is highly suspect.
Springlullaby is giving me all kinds of bad vibes; however, she is about the only poster in this game who is actively doing any kind of prodding/scum hunting, so I would prefer to give her a pass for now.
I'm going to look through Erratus then decide where to stick my vote.-

Stalking among you with his flail wagging back and forth, Morgan glares at each of you in turn but he stops beside humscunter, who is sound alseep on a folded sail. The captain raises his nine-tails and delivers a rude awakening.
Humscunter has been prodded. If he doesn't post within 24 hours, he will be replaced.

@ Gremwell: What do you make of EA and Jebus?
EA looks to put me at L-1 without batting an eye, no call for a claim no case no nothing, highly suspect after that.
I'm still very much on the fence with Jebus, I like very much that he asked me some questions rather than just letting the day run down, I'd say I feel a light town vibe.
Now that I am at L-1 I have no problem claiming so we may be able to find a better lynch.in the name of Harman-

We have to lynch before the deadline, andHuntress wrote:@ Erratus Apathos: Why are you voting for Gremwell?. I wanted to lynch crywolf, but now is not the time to be uncompromising.THE DEADLINE IS TOMORROW
Gremwell: You're only at L-2 (six to lynch), but that's even worse because it makes a no lynch more probable. If you want people to react to your claim, you better hurry it the hell up.Do you want your possessions identified?-

crywolf, he can't quote it, so duh it's different than what you got for your vanilla pm. And was that an unnecessary claim I saw there?
Clarify if I'm wrong, though.
And to all those voting Gremwell, this is a really weak wagon, and though I'm not adamant, his response to my questions seemed townie moreso than scum. Re-read before we rush this one.
And FoS EA - That last post to rush the claim.
Who would we have lynched if you didn't like his claim?Bastard ModGod. Mislynch fodder. Suave savior.-

As EA has pointed out, there is no lynch at deadline. ThisREALLYpisses me off though. This speed lynch stupidity is going to hurt us.
As I see it, we can get a lot of information from a Gremwell lynch, especially about crywolf's claim. I would have liked to push Spring a little more but with the extra RVS and the constant lurking, we had a lot of trouble this day.

The captain whips humscunter a few more times, then picks him up by the collar and swings him out over the rail. Though the sheets are down, the ship is still rolling from side to side and panic widens the crewman’s eyes as his feet kick uselessly over the brine.
Unbeknownst to Morgan, another violent drama is unfolding on the forecastle, where several salty dogs have thrown the captain’s noose over the lowest of the foremast’s yardarms. Two nearby pirates are looking nervous but, after the free end of the rope is secured, it is Gremwell who is pushed to the edge of the ‘castle. Luckily, Morgan has had a hinged rail installed for this very purpose.
The noose is slipped over Gremwell’s head and he’s given a moment to utter his last words. “I’m but a sailor,” he says lamely. “Look, I even gots a marlin spike for untyin’ knots.”
Shrugging, his crewmates push him through the gate and he falls, bouncing with an audible pop at the end of the rope. The marlin spike drops to the deck and rolls to a stop beside the main mast.
Spinning around so quickly that humscunter’s legs nearly splinter the rail, Morgan shouts at the lynch mob. “What’n th’ell you lads done now?! That be Gremwell, one o’ me best men! If he’s a mutineer, I be a three legged bar-wench! Blast ye to ashes, ye slobberin’ fools!” After dropping humscunter and glowering for a moment, however, the captain relaxes enough to smile.
“Aaaaaarrrrrgh. I suppose it be a blessin’ that ye found the innards ta hang a man after all. An’t least we don’t need to set becalmed no more. Weigh the anchor, lads. We be sleepin’ in Port Royal tonight!”
A sailor (Gremwell) has been slain. He was loyal to the captain.
Night actions are due by Sunday, November 23, at 22:00 MST (GMT -7).

It’s been a mellow four days, two in port, two drifting east-northeast through the sea-gate. There’s been some work to do, but not much, and nobody’s been on official watch so it doesn’t seem that odd that you haven’t seen Jebus around. This afternoon, however, a hoarse cry from below decks summoned all hands and, responding, you arrived in time to watch a few of your mates fish a bloated body out of the bilge. “It be Jebus,” one of the crewmen shouts, “somebody done ‘im in fer sure.”
There is a mutter in the crowd that quickly fades when Morgan appears at the top of the ladder. He makes his way to the body, unceremoniously emptying the contents of the dead man’s various pouches. Included in the spoils are an old compass and astrolabe, a fine pistol, and a pocket watch that, according to the captain, belonged to his now-dead cabin boy.
“This be proof positive, lads,” the grizzly captain growls, brandishing the fob. “We aint hung no mutinous cowards yet, but it seems they be killin’ one another. Or mayhaps there be somethin’ altogether different afoot here!”
“But ‘nuff said. There be murderers on the Scum an’ ye all know what that means. Another watch. An’ another stretched neck! Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh!”
The man-at-arms (Jebus) has been slain. He was mutinous scum.
RandomGem replaces Humscunter (effective at the start of the last night phase).
The third watch begins. With eight alive it takes five to lynch.
Automatic deadline: Monday, December 15 at 18:00 MST (GMT-7).Record:Town 10W/15LScum 4W/1LOther 2W/2LNewbie 1L

I believe crywolf's pseudo-counterclaim thing - I don't even know what to call it, but it's not a trade scum would likely take just to force the mislynch on a practically-already-lynched Gremwell.
I also note that Jebus jumped off the Gremwell wagon for springlullaby, a highly unlikely play if they were scumbuddies.
I don't buy the way Goatrevolt attacked me for voting Gremwell. Feels like he was trying to set me up.

At the moment Clockwork, Crywolf and EA are looking the scummiest, particularly in the way they rushed the lynch after Goatrevolt seemed to be thinking about taking his vote off Gremwell.
Maybe he just didn't want to be associated with the lynch of someone he knew was a townie? And his vote was only the second on SL; she wasn't in any danger. Also can I have a rely to the question in my last post please?Erratus Apathos wrote:I also note that Jebus jumped off the Gremwell wagon for springlullaby, a highly unlikely play if they were scumbuddies..
