Cool, I'm in to rebel by... being unable to do anything now???

You see, the real winner of this competition should probably not be any individual, after all the goal of this competition is not really to crown a winner, but to help Mafiascum through the spirit of competition. At the heart of this game is not a person (well I suppose you could count AniX but let's not for tax purposes), it is an idea. And so, I implore those of you who can spend, to not use your points on some nailbiting competition between those of us who remain, but to support the ideal candidate. Pool your points to purchase At the Last Minute, and use the Power of the 11th Hour to seal the victory. When in doubt, do something really cool, or really funny, and that action would definitely be both.
Sadly there's only 200 points in play so we cannot replace the entire leaderboard with Mr. Last Minutes. THAT would be really funny.

It doesn't say there CAN'T be multiples. There just aren't enough points to do it. It costs 22 points, so there would need to be 242 points just to get 11 of them into play. And even more still to do the necessary point-boosting to have them overtake the people above 111 points rather than coming in pushing other 11th Hours off the board.

Oh, well, if we're trying to get people to actually pay attention and do things in a complex order then it's plenty doable since apparently infinite points can be generated with Power of the 11th Hour. Heck bianco, you technically should be able to do it yourself since it just says "a player of your choice" but doesn't rule out giving them to yourself. :P

And even if AniX ruled against giving points to yourself, it would just take two people working in tandem giving each other points and creating Mr. 11th Hours with them and point boosting them/taking points from leaders and boosting each other as needed.

Question is, does AniX have to approve the transactions before more can be made with the newly generated points? Because I just don't think there's nearly enough time for a long chain of transactions like that unless AniX is spending the next 12 hours staring intently at this thread constantly refreshing it.

"Player" is undefined but as used in "You may also pool your points with as many players as you’d like to go for bigger and bigger impacts" it definitely includes people who are not top eleven. Perhaps it even excludes top eleven ("contestants" seems to be the word used to mean "everyone with points") but that seems like a needless complication but it should definitely include you. There's also "non-player users" which I take to mean any forum users who didn't earn points.

It feels a little off that now only moderators can be awarded points to join top eleven but it's probably for the best. Don't you love trying to balance games?

Didn't answer whether you need to authorize the point expenditure/boost though or if some moderator like T-Bone can just post a long sequence that modifies their own points repeatedly.

AniX can't do the first step that many times or else AniX ends up on the board and unable to spend points.

Well no, since then AniX would most likely get on the board at first place. Note that [22] explicitly put Mr. 11H
onto
the board
What, are you saying you didn't calculate the points for doing all that in order to keep AniX under 111? :o

I guess that makes sense though. Darn cheaters Mr. 11th Hour and his special board-busting privilege.

I mean, if AniX rebels and try to get on the board it suffices for a user with >=19 points to buy [9] targeting Anix, then [10]. So it's not a concern
Oh no, rebellious mods? They could just sequence things to keep everyone else under 19 points to prevent us from stopping their rampage, though.

In post 44, biancospino wrote: They can't since, say, you are not a player, so not a possible [2] target.
(There is a way to work around that, but I'm not elaborating)
I expect it's possible through the right combination of reducing points of current players to put lower-point users on the board and then reducing their points as well; though tricky since the mod would have to avoid being on the board themself when activating 10 but retain enough points to keep giving themself points afterwards. They probably would want to hit everyone with 3 as well, to make sure any remaining points couldn't be pooled.
In post 45, AniX wrote: Users, even those not in the top 11, are not forbidden from earning points through the methods that have been used to generate points throughout the tournament.
Yeah but that's not being
awarded
points here, that's the old-fashioned way of
earning
them.

That actually makes this a lot more complicated though since it's not defined when points are earned through contests. Presumably when the post documenting it is made. That makes for hella complicated interaction with a point list that can constantly change through point expenditure, but doesn't refresh itself without someone explictly spending points to make it do so.

Also that seems to mean that someone could go earn like 165 points from updating the wiki today to move into the points lead if nothing else changes, but would have to spend 10 points to actually be put onto the player list. And would thus then only be at 155 points and no longer in the lead.

(I think if you're going to do this again, maybe this phase should be after other point earn opportunities have closed. :shifty:)

Oh no, someone secretly stole a point from Mr. 11th Hour! How diabolical! :o

Nice wiki spree rebellion though, Cook! XD
