I think it's even worse when you're in a different time zone from your scumbuddy.
Arguably, a better mechanic might be to make fast nights the default on every night, so if everyone does submit early enough then you don't have to wait. I don't think 24 hours is always long enough for a scumteam to discuss and arrive on the right target for multiple different night actions.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. All players (including VTs) still have to opt in to fast night each night, to prevent any possible leaks like this. That part wouldn't change.
It would be a lot of PMs, but I guess you could do it with PTs if you're really worried about that.
