If you post in this thread I will assign you an element. This is entirely nebulous. It could be something like earth, something like oxygen, or something like fungi. There are no rules, no laws, no order. This is elemental anarchy.

air is the element of freedom and going with the flow. the air can be calm or ferocious when it wants to be, but it always does what it feels like doing, and is usually refreshing to be around.

oxygen is often seen as the element of life, although i guess a lot of elements are really needed for life. still, animals and plants and fungi all need oxygen to thrive. it's also the element of vitality and universality, being the most common element on our planet, and one of the big things that separates our (relatively) welcoming and homely planet from the cold expanses of outer space. it's also a highly reactive element, and many of the products of its reactions are well known and important - like water! you already know all of this, obviously, but i'm writing a blurb for these anyway

iodine comes in a vibrant purple colour. the human body doesn't naturally produce iodine, but it is vital for the proper functioning of said body. it's often used for school experiments to help people learn - testing samples for starch, primarily. it's also used for spacecraft propulsion! it's quite an efficient propellant, apparently. it has less atomic weight than xenon, which is usually used, but has lower ionization energies? while i don't really understand it, it seems like that means it lasts longer.
