You may see things as AI but I’ve only played with 2 of these people so for everyone else, I can’t tell if it’s their personality, their play style or something that would indicate to me that they are scum. If you say there has been a lot, I can honestly say I can’t pinpoint much if any yet. If that’s going to make me a target or read as using being new as an excuse for being scum, I don’t know what else I can do. But it gets a little tiring when everything I do is construed as faking my inexperience or using it as an excuse, and that being used as a scumread on me.

This isn’t just about this game, it’s been in every game so I’m sorry for being a bit exhausted from defending myself from those specific accusations.

the part where he votes and pressures a scumread onto me that ended up with him voting for my scumread made a lot of sense as someone trying to figure out my alignment and adapting to actual towny things I was doing in real time while interacting with him. once he voted kage and went 'gimli where are u' I was kinda confident he was town already

I think the scumcase on you makes sense and shows he is thinking through the game. your hu tao read is stiff and it doesnt seem like you're paying attention to things hu tao is doing that are towny.

he also vibes as someone frustrated for not being able to find confident scumreads.

tunneling me to death in a way that's obtuse, unnecessary and will lead to embarrassment if I do flip, when I suppose scum would be a little more self aware than that. reacted well to DE early on. I like how her townreads developed on DE, csf and you. I also like that she is not OMGUSing back on your scumread. the 'sadly i think this is town black' felt particularly like a townpost. I also like her involvement with the game. it just really feels like a townie here, while I suppose not with standard hu tao towngames.

I starting reading over pg 17/18 because I had skimmed them earlier and I saw Dann's post about Gimli's bravado for the first time. I wasn't really feeling Gimli in this exchange with the whole "no u" thing and I started to reconsider my read on Dann a little

I read Gimli's recent Hu read and had a thought that it felt like he was looking for reasons to townread her. I started looking at Hu's ISO and saw the "you can earn your townread back" post and it hit me. This is eerily similar to something she said to me in Flavorless Hell when I was playing as an alt:

It is still early, if you town it up I can reconsider.

It has the same smugness, the "I control your fate" type vibes

So now I'm starting to reconsider my Dann read and my Hu read and that makes me more willing to explore the Gimli wagon

Weird how before you were content not to defend yourself because you thought I was town and understood why I was scum reading you? Now you’re just being dismissive that I’m scum and giving the condescending “it’s fine”. I really do hope you’re scum and are just playing the part to put sus on me because if this is really how you are as town when you get heat (such as saying I’m not on your level and that I was wrong because I’m new) then it’s not a very inviting environment as a new player to come into. If everything is based on meta and “how they normally play” or “I always do this as town” it alienates anyone that is new and unfamiliar with past games or the players. As for a read, Gimli having and discarding reads like clothes is bad. It's a tactic that can be used by town but fits better in the hands of scum, who have no accountability for their reads because that one you're discussing is old and you just need to get over it. I'm not even reading closely yet but I'm pretty sure Gimli has both townread and scumread every slot in the game except me already. It keeps everyone off balance but does little to progress with actual solving, and comes off especially fake to me because somehow everyone else escapes his PoE at some point but it's always just consistently small enough to be considering one certain person my supposed partner at any given time. So the idea is nobody else feels too personally threatened by being scumread, because the PoE is minimal and the rotating slot is just constantly changing anyway. In a townie thought process where he's constantly re-evaluating, I feel he'd genuinely shake up his reads entirely from time to time and consider a world where he's just wrong. But I'm not seeing any genuine paranoia here, and that indicates it's a scum power play.

I definitely don't want this slot to see ELO, it needs to be resolved first because if he's actually town he's not going to be trusted by anyone.
