Consider changing this to the gimmick queue instead. It can be a dedicated spot for upicks but it can also be for
- blitz games. The reason we don't have a blitz queue is because blitzes by themselves aren't popular.
- dance games. tbh Dance games are probably should belong in the open queue but moving them from theme to gimmick queue could be interesting

I agree with Koba.
This queue could also be a good home for X idea games.

Also don't call the subforum for this queue The Throne room. That could be good if it was uPicks only but if we're expanding this to other gimmicks in general, you're giving silly games prestige that they don't rly have.

gimmick games would be like these:

uPick games - player picks role flavor or some other aspect of their role
CYS games - technically a type of uPick maybe, this is where you choose what alignment you want to play as
blitz games - fast deadlines and short prod timers
dance games - centralizing mechanic that makes the game play unlike a typical Mafia game
idea games (maybe) - semi-open setups with a large amount of possibilities and no guarantee of balance
collaborative deck games - anything can happen in these games
heavy direct mod influence games - the ultimate gimmick

really, anything with a centralizing mechanic that makes the game play unlike a typical Mafia game
At that point the Theme Queue is just the Normal Queue but with more copyright infringement
I think you are wrong.
The Theme Queue will still be the place to go to explore roles/mechanics that aren’t allowed in other queues and for in general themed games. My next Pokémon large theme is going in the theme queue and I think most themes ran abide by this.

I would actively vouch for the removal of idea games in the theme queue. They can clog the queue and tbh, I would never play one, they’re just not for me. I do not think of X idea game when I think of a theme game. When I think of an X idea game, I think of garbage.

I actively support putting all of these variations into a queue and separating them from themes.

uPick only is narrow. If you widen the scope of what can be ran in there, it improves the health of the queue.

Narrow bad, Generic good.

This queue can also be used for Avalon (I think Raybells ran this once) and Assassins in the Palace.

The ideas are endless.

A dedicated queue can also set the tone for the games that are in that queue. Normal games are very normal and mean very seriously business. Silly queue has very silly games that are very silly unless they’re not. Most cases they are very silly games.
