Playerlist Policy:
i will mediate loosely during signups if i have to, but i've never had to and hope to keep that streak going (but please do not let that prevent you from reaching out to me privately over any concerns!)
Other Restrictions:
i would recommend that anyone interested in joining has played a game of mafia before (here or somewhere similar), but i won't enforce that (beyond maybe giving a heads up to those who seem new to the site)

Deadlines:
day phases may last up to 10 "real life" days. night phases will last 48 hours, barring unanimous consent for fast night
Prod Timer:
48 hours of no posting will get you a prod. 24 hours of no posting after that will get you replaced. accruing more than three prods (ie: four prods) will get you replaced. there may be leniency for V/LAs and other extenuating circumstances. after each night, everyone with at least one prod will have a prod erased from their total (in terms of force-replacement calculations)

yea!!!
Is it possible your game has any mechanically bastard roles or mechanics?
yes. more specifically: this game may contain up to one thing that could be construed as a "moderator lie," and some people may not even consider it a lie. also, all role pms will be lie free. that should be the only mechanically bastard element.
Is it possible your game has any procedurally bastard dynamics?
yes. more specifically: i will banter in a way that (hopefully) won't divulge any game related info. schadd_ can as well if it wants to. some other non-players may or may not get to interact with the game in a rather limited manner, i suppose. those should be the only procedurally bastard elements.

Requests for exceptions to site rules:
i think this is covered by the bastard declaration, but i would like an exception to
Rules for Mafia Game Moderators, 15b
("Excessively bantering with players").

Other:
there will be no redactions for private topics.
there will be ten town-aligned players and three mafia-aligned players. flips will only contain alignment and role name (ie: Skygazer was a
town so-and-so
); role pms won't be posted until after the game ends. "love child" is a polite synonym for "bastard." that being said, this is intended to be balanced.

yes. it's a uPick so the role generation process will have some direct mod influence. alignments will certainly be randomized. but i'll leave this as a blanket yes, just in case i get any other fun ideas.

based on the deck i imagine it might be possible, we'll find out together!
Is it possible your game has any procedurally bastard dynamics?
i reserve the right to throw in cards that i think are funny, or reject cards that i think are bad, but i also might not do that. to avoid any undue influence that could stem from that, the setup will be generated in its entirety before roles/alignments are assigned to players. aside from that, the bastardness once again depends on the cards selected.

Other:

- this game will have five "vanilla" roles, two masons, and two "goons"
- every slot will have an additional ability determined by a card drawn from the grand idea deck
- i will not pay attention to the alignment of drawn cards, so mafia can have abilities from town cards and vice versa, third party abilities might be included, etc
- abilities will be rejected if they give any mechanical advantage to either faction (this will be kind of subjective, and will be clarified in more detail later, but the gist of it is: something like neighborizer or fruit vendor could be selected, but an alignment cop or motion detector could not)
- the end result should be a goofy nine player friends and enemies setup; i wanted to capture the chaos of grand idea while still retaining balance

Spoiler: generation process
1. draw cards until 9 valid abilities have been selected
2. randomly assign two abilities to the masons, two abilities to the goons, and the rest to everybody else
3. draft finalized role cards
4. randomly assign one finished role card to each player
