From what I can recall I've only been in one game that has had (what I think) is a similar mechanic. A pro town group recruiting townies... It's been so long since I played it, I can't really recall anything about it though...

We should be a little careful describing possible ideas though. I'm guessing whoever
our mason(s) are they know more about how their roles work then we do. If we discuss the masons too much we could risk giving the anti town members ways to manipulate us/the town.

@ Sebguer > Pooky and I have played together before and I think he would have been the most experienced one in this game if he actually made it.

As for the Empking vs RF issue, I'm more on RF's side.
She brought up an idea and realizing it could possibly hurt the town more than aid it
moved on. She also gave a very reasonable explanation for why she said what she did.

I took it the same as Sebguer when I read it. Had I voted he'd be at 4 votes.
And with this crowd (No offence) I can see us getting real close to an accidental lynch / speed lynch.

Juls' 210 post sums up most of my thoughts on Zwets. For me there are a few other
posts that Zwet have made that "I believe" may be inside jokes? but they seem odd
to me.

Max - I think we have played two games together is that right by your memory?
In one I was a cop and you were a townie, that's the one I remember clearly
because of the really messed up ending.
The other... I can't recall... I'm not even positive we both finished the game or if the
mod left the game. Either way it was over a year ago, so it would be hard to
remember anyways. Getting to the point, while you're not jumping out as scum to
me either I would like it if you could post a little more if possible.

It similar to how I used to play with Max when he first came here.
My first came with max the town lost because as A TOWNIE he claimed to be cop with a guilty result on someone he THOUGHT was scum. I then came forward as the real cop, with an innocent result on the same player. Even after my claim MAX continued pretending to be a cop and voted the innocent player, the other two players left in the game, the real two remaining scum jumped on and voted off my cleared investigation.
Scum won the game.

Stupid town play can be just as bad if not worse than scum players sometimes...

Should we ask Reecer for a claim? It's all WIFOM but I feel like we could be walking into a bit of a trap here. If Reecer isn't scum, I think the only reason that he's alive now is because scum thought for sure we'd lynch him today.

Ok, I was hoping to avoid this but Reecer really doesn't want to seem to change the way he is playing. So...

We are of the belief that Reecer has something of a night action (whether he uses it smartly is a whole different story...)

Now, if we go to night and he is scum, he will live through the night.
IF he is in fact town, scum might feel that it's his time to go.
So here's the question. Do we force Reecer to claim and if so, if he has an info gathering role, do we get him to reveal his results?

I can see ways how this could hinder and/or help the town...

There was plenty of discussion, at least enough for me to vote. If someone looks scummy, I vote for them. That's it.

Often there is more to discuss then where to place your current vote.
And it did seem pretty hasty to put a player at L-1 when you did.

I wanted to hear from Reecer because I know from EMP's role that not all mason recruits are surely town. I wanted to hear Reecer's answer though before we spoke openly about this.

If Reecer comes back and says that he didn't receive any info on Zwets' alignment, Zwets' like others have posted can very well still be scum.

I'm also not ruling out the possibility that the two of them could be scum together.
This could have been a plan hatched last night.

Let's not forget that Zwets and Reecer were the two that finished off EMP while the rest of us were pondering his claim.

Although the there is a chance you could still both be scum, you have a point that you do add leverage to his claim.

I don't think so either because of EMP's role. I think Scum can be recruited, as town can be recruited [which would create the scum masons]. While EMP's role would have confirmed him with his recruiter, I don't think all pro town recruits will be confirmed innocent to their recruiters.

This is why I wanted to hear Reecer's comments on Zwets earlier.
