Hmm..I'd be looking at the posts of the last ones that random voted or havent even posted yet. Scum aint too eager to stick out D1 page 2 so that be where my suspicions lay atm as for someone in particular, I think its not a good idea to throw names about just yet.

Don't you think that if you were scum trying to not stick out you would be more likely to random vote than not? The majority of players are doing it, and scum tend to want to be safely hidden in the majority.

Correlation does not imply causation. Also, in a month, do you have enough games to really recognize such a trend?

In both of my finished games, your theory did not hold. Scum voted at pretty much random points during the random phase.

You misunderstand. The narrow set of options you provided was when you asked Nocmen to say who he thought was scum. Not who had done anything suspicious at that early stage, but who was scum. You effectively gave Noc two options: say someone is scum on a very limited set of evidence, or not call anyone scum ('anybody could be scum') and incur your wrath for supposed question dodging. When he gave some minor suspicions, you criticised him for not doing that straight away, when in fact the reason for that was the initial phrasing didn't give him the option to do so

Magnus to me, is behaving like the typical eager hunter. Giving his suspects little room to manuver and stab them like hell the second they bleat something that could be misrepped as scummy. That said, scum do the exact same thing. I'm undecided for now.

Your earlier post makes me think of top suspects myself obviously scum will eat up any ideas I have at this point since its only speculation. Lets see things develop a bit more before we bring down the heavy duty artillery >:3

Yes, I was trying to guage both nocmen's reactions and people's reactions to it. (See above.)
I was hoping that more people would talk before the game reached this stage in questioning, so I could get more reads before explaining this, but, oh well.

This just means either you have a poor case and Nocmen is infact not acting scummy or else scum are afraid to jump in, wanting to keep their profiles low rather than getting involved.

I'd say Nocmen is town.

I do apologise about the lack of content but I never got a good grasp of the game from the beginning (just a ton of content from eager players, I perform better with starts easing into serious topics thus keeping up with them). I'll try harder but this what I'm doing for now.

Nocmen's praise and acceptancey post make me believe he is scum. Towny thing to do was what walnut did. Furthermore, he pushed my suspicions for walnut and caf19. But mainly, I really dislike when someone says, "Oh, okay then. That makes sense." In my experience, they tend to be scum.

Eh? Dude thats the biggest scumtell all game, an omgus under generally believable opinion and now you simply punish your suspector by returning the vote rather than looking past 'his mistake' and identifying true scum. It's just so easy to pull people up for something obvious like Omgus, as he did in his last post. His tone also seems quite assured ("care to redeem yourself before I'm completely convinced you're mafia?"), which makes me think he's planning to push further. Possible scum behaviour.

Aggressive as in attacking everyone in the game. It's a scumtell because aggressiveness shows that they want night more and do not like the day. This usually means that they are mafia.

In Day One I'm not suprised. Theres been no concentration on scummy players yet since we've not made much progress, would you agree? The only problem is, attacking everyone doesnt help anyone. More concentration on scummiest players is more appropriate.

Also, I'm curious to Issac seeming to follow magnus's vote here. But it is an early vote, and not a wagon, so I'm not too suspicious. But it is something to note for later.

Well I remember post 127 (Walnut) post 128 Nocmen and my own post thats been speculated under only, are the three that found him scummy.
Looking back the extremely was my own belief and the rate of posts about it right after it was said made me think everyone thought it was a poor move by BB at the time.

There's a whole lot of active lurking going on this game.

I'm suspicious of all of you who are posting things like "I'm bored" or making these short posts. It doesn't really help your case either that you're not contributing anything on your own to the game as well.

In my post towards BB I used the idea of a potential vote to imply hes being scummiest at the moment. I'd imagine this is normal yet explaining it is backpedalling when its obvious I never voted in the first place?

Magnus says I'm scum but for what, repetition is very effective and this is exactly what hes doing. Good scum play in my books but theres always the chance that hes just decided to tunnel on someone hes assured himself is scum, a very unavoidable thing town players do when eager to grandstand in a game.

Tie that into the fact that I've been distracted doing other things. When I skimmed the thread I picked out the most obvious scum tell and brought it up. My contribution when unfortunately unable to keep up with thread. I'm pretty caught up and I still think the action I pointed out was extremely scummy, what you call 'obvious'.

Oh so its okay to accuse more than half the game of being scum but the second I voice my opinion on you over a topic thats just been brought up its a sudden attack? Anyways, I just finished Mass Effect, hence the effort appearing out of the blue, twas an awesome game.

In Myko's Open 126, recently closed, you mentioned reading a lot of (I assume Zwet's?) games and found his one or two liner posts were common for his game play. Why then do you mistake my normal game play for a scum tell?

This is the first game I've ever seen you play, you have to admit, Zwets more likely for me to see in a game than you are and I havent read any games with you in it, but if you claim you always play like this I'll look into it since you've done the same for me. (Which is a pro-town move from you to be fair)

Let's say you suspected me for my "scum tell." Why not say:
Scummy players such as BB or others? (I will grant you that at this point, you may have read that Magnus doesn't suspect me the way some people might, but I still feel that a lack of logic is present in this post.)

I find being specific fuels my towns action to mislynch me, it almost happened at the beginning of Myoknian (cant remember how his name goes) game and would have beeen a disaster. To be specific (lol) I'm talking about when I brought up how Zwet is off my list of low poster counts being scum theory, funny enough he ended up being scum.

I feel that your contribution of scum hunting is seriously lacking.

If you truely are checking my games you'll see my contributions to them all went down seriously after around the 4th of April when I spent my Bday money (21st March). Thats the only evidence I have of my reasons being honest.

Sorry guys, alot of my games are finished but life has gotten alot busier lately, this is the game I find least approachable and most time consuming, one word of advice, dont let Magnus' attempts of grandstanding go unnoticed, still possible scum.
