could be they're just reacting slow or not checking as often as others do. personally i'd give em another day and maybe think start thinking about replacing them after thatShowSome would say he's a killer.

i find this highly unnecessary to have to get a replacement for a replacement.. I don't understand why people don't check their accounts here more often..ShowSome would say he's a killer.

i apologize for not posting as of yet, my internet went down unexpectedly last night and this is the first i've been able to sign back on at all. Going to dinner right now, and i'll check these posts afterShowSome would say he's a killer.

so, then so far we have a discussion based upon the lack of a discussion.. interesting depending on the particular responses people give as this gets going.
I did put up two posts on the replacements issue, yes, though i found them to be passing comments on my part. But people will see things others may not in any given situation, so I'm leaving that alone from here on.
I'm not one of those people with a penchant for random voting on some poor fool just to get a rise out of someone and hope for a slip, so i'll abstain from placing my vote for the time being.
As a final note, trust me Meji, i'm fully aware of the scum-lurk scenario and am not pleased with having been put in that position like i was yesterday. But as long as my connection holds out i'll be checking/posting daily so i'm not really that worried at the momentShowSome would say he's a killer.

i have to agree with soyasushi in that a person's behavior will alter between being a town and being mafia, though the separation would be different between people.
The "If i were mafia" comment always seems bad to me since that will ALWAYS catch someone's attention in the worst way possible.
As for manho's comment, starting a discussion tends to be pro-town whether or not the person doing so is, but that's skirting on WIFOM so there really isn't much point elaborating on that subject.
Meji-I realize it did make me look kinda bad that i'd not posted up to that point (explained in my previous), and i do aplogize for the way i responded, i could have been more diplomatic than i was and i'm sure you aren't the only one to take a closer look after it was brought up.ShowSome would say he's a killer.

Anyone can post a smiley. Since we don't have the advantage of facial expressions or verbal emphasis, it makes it virtually impossible to figure the true meaning (town being nice vs. scum disguise)

@Meji-Manho didn't do anything suspicious, but that for me makes me suspicious. everyone says something to set someone else off at some point and i was just trying to see what reaction he'd have to it. Unfortunately, a brush-off isn't much of a tell one way or the other
@Zach- I'm in agreement with manho on this one. A list is more likely to put people on the defensive as well as allowing the mafia to see exactly where people have drawn the lines in their heads about other players. This hurts the town more than the scum, since town gets defensive and scum sees just who they can target to cause the most chaos and/or avoid suspicionShowSome would say he's a killer.

I wasn't saying the scum doesn't go on defense, my point was that a list puts more information out on the town than on the scum. Gives em a free shot if things match up enough between different people.Zachrulez wrote:Town gets defensive and scum does not?
Suppose there are a couple people that others seem suspicious about. The mafia may use that to their advantage to remove the competition without ever exposing themself/themselves.
THAT is my problem with using scumlists in the first place.
BTW, Vulcan Mode, from what i can figure, is a complete and utter lack of emotionShowSome would say he's a killer.

I don't make a vote unless i have what i conceive to be concrete reason.
I don't appreciate the insinuation here. As it stands, I don't see where any of the mafia have made enough mistakes for us to accurately take 'em down.Zachrulez wrote:Not making scumlists isn't going to keep the scum from knowing who you find suspicious unless you'renot noting suspicious actions and not scum hunting outright.ShowSome would say he's a killer.

First off, I'm going to state the obvious. Cookie, you're more than intelligent enough to sway pretty much any argument you choose to, i can see that just from the post you centered on my behavior. Now me personally, i act pretty much the same regardless of which side i'm on (which is to say the few games i've been in i've always attracted attention).
As for your "he's thinking ways around things" comment, that's just the way my mind works, so get used to it. it'll happen again in the future, i can guarantee that one.
I am wondering, however, why you'd come specifically after me in that post despite having more than enough information for speculation on at least two others.
For this reasonVote: CookieShowSome would say he's a killer.

I admit that my vote is 25% retaliation. But still it strikes me odd that he's so focused on one or two people (mainly manho, tubby and me) which accounts for the other 75% of why i placed my vote the way i did. I've got three ideas for scum at this point.
@Zach- i'd like to hear more about your opinions on the subject, so far i've seen very little from you other than "i'm reading up" and "yea, that looks weird"ShowSome would say he's a killer.

You know, I don't see why you think it's random that someone would come to the defense of someone else. If someone thinks another person is town, they'd come to that person's aid if they were being slandered/targeted (or at least i'd hope people would be nice enough to do that on a regular basis).EtherealCookie wrote:Someone just randomly comes into the defense of Wrath and votes for me with a terrible reason to, as well. It was already obvious Wrath's reason for voting for me was just a retaliation. Funny you support him. Hmmm. If Wrath gets lynched and shows scum, I'll know who to look into next.
It interests me that you're trying SO HARD to make my arguments sound trivial, despite the fact that YOUR OWN WORDING implies that its your opinion that my reasons suck.
I stated my reason's, i'd like to think i explained them well enough (at least it made sense to at least one other person..) and then Pianist decided to voice his opinions on the subject as well.
It's getting more and more suspicious that you've centered on me as the main target, so I'm leaving my vote right where I had it.ShowSome would say he's a killer.

You must be running out of ammo if you're just going to keep rehashing the same things over and over again. Starting to seem like you want to force a lynch and get me out of your hair..
Now, I was under the impression that this was explained, but since you need more clarification, here it is. I DID NOT expect to get brushed off with that maneuver, I expected some sort of response I could try to get some insight off of. But just to let you know, sometimes "No Answer" is an answer.
And by the way, everyone votes out of retaliation to some extent, i'm just intelligent enough to realize why I'm doing what I'm doing and NOT TRY TO HIDE IT. And while I'm at it, I'd think that everyone who's composing a post would think about any repurcussions that post may create. Regardless of the timing of the post in question.ShowSome would say he's a killer.

Thanks for bringing that up, Meji, I'd actually forgotten that Manho had voted me up at all..
On reading through that post, I don't really see anything I can really comment on that I haven't already explained, and I'm not big on repeating myself.
So far, there doesn't seem to be anything new to comment on, but then Zach generally just uses one-liner posts and we haven't heard much from Soyasushi lately at all..ShowSome would say he's a killer.

I'd like aspecificrundown on the case against me as well, since people seem to be dissenting on exactly how i was "being scummy".
Meji's vote puts me at one vote away from death (L-4 in my viewpoint)
IfI get lynched (and consequently turn up to betown) I suggest everyone take a good look at EtherealCookie and Meji.ShowSome would say he's a killer.

Considering the way that things have been twisted so far, anything defense I attempt to use at this point would be turned against me. I full well realize I screwed myself somewhat, but that's been exacerbated with others picking my comments apart.ShowSome would say he's a killer.
