This is Mini 880 - Mini Quick and Dirty Mafia.


As the dawn broke in the small town of Antioch, the quiet fog vanished from the morning chill. As the farmhands began their early routines - milking cows, gathering the eggs, and planting vegetables - they were unaware of how unimportant their normal duties were to become. On the other side of the city, the quaint little homes with families of one, maybe even two children began to stir. The mothers were already up making the coffee, cooking the eggs for the morning breakfast.

One father was just coming out of the shower as he heard a loud *Bang!* After hurriedly dressing, the father ran down the stairs and looked in the kitchen to see if his family was unharmed - they were. Almost immediately he cried

"Stay in side, no matter what happens!"

Out of fear and trust, the family nodded, and began to head for the basement.

Running out into the center of town, there was already a crowd of people. There was a cacophony of people yelling and crying in fear -

"Who did this!" "Not Jimmy!!!"

In the midst of the mob the father, also known as

"Big" Ben Bear

stepped onto the curb next to the saloon and yelled as loud as he could for everyone to calm down.

"Alright, we're going to figure out who shot Jimmy. And we need to do it fast! The first twelve people at this scene, who were the first twelve people here!!"

As he glanced across the crowd the lot of you each slowly raised your hands, not in fear of being known, but in fear of what BigBear was going to mandate.

"All of you! Inside the bar, we're are going to figure out who killed Jimmy."

BigBear lead the men into the bar slowly. Standing behind the bar, he asked them all to sit down. One man piped up,

"How are we going to do this Ben?

" In an almost sadistic, yet honest manor, BigBear said..."

As soon as he said that, he quickly reached below the counter of the bar to find a double barrel shotgun, and he slammed it on the table, along with a box of shells. The noise was loud, the entire room jumped.

"What are you waiting for?

" Ben asked,

"You don't have very much time...."

13. This game is limited reveal, all players will flip in agreement of their alignment.

in the haste of the day the townsfolk quickly pointed at each other for who did the evil dead of murder. Eventually as the day advanced the town began to direct all of their attention to two men. In the haste of the day, and the thirst for vengeance nearly everyone pointed at

Sando.

began to walk slowly towards Sando, carrying a loose rope.

with the rest of the men in the saloon walked with hast outside to the center of town where the entire town watched as the men dragged Sando to the Tree of Life as some called it. This tree was the benchmark of the town's cultivation. It led to prosperity and wealth in the mid 1930's. However, when someone needed to be put in his or her place, this was also the spot for that.

threw the rope over the strongest branch of the tree and put Sando on a stool. After tying rope tight to an iron wedge, he kicked the stool from underneath poor Sando's body. After forty-five to fifty seconds of struggling Sando gave his last breath to this world, which a quick whisper,

I'm innoce....

In search of the truth one man reached into Sands pockets to see if there was any indication of scum upon him. Searching through the wallet proved worthless. Hidden in Sando's coat pocket was a small business card. Apparently Sando owned the local grocery store.

Sando was obviously not scum, just a regular townsfolk.

Everyone awoke the next morning with hopes of catching the scum that killed these people. In the morning most of the group went for breakfast together. Surprisingly only one missed out. Everyone figured that he must have overslept. On the way from the small restaurant the group was walking past the post office when one member happened to glance down the dark alleyway and thought he saw a body. He screamed at everyone to stop and look. The party put BigBear in search of the body, and to find who it was. After BigBear came back, he had a sad look on his face. This sadness then soon turned to anger.

We need to get back to the saloon NOW! And figure out who did this! Otherwise

Everyone looked around the saloon, pointing fingers at each other. Eventually everyone pointed towards AGar. He cried

"I swear, I didn't do it! Honestly!"

No one believed him, and that didn't stop the townsfolk from grabbing him and tying his wrists together. They drug him through the street to the tree. He kept crying, screaming and yelling. But no one listened to him. Everyone ignored him. His tears fled from his face, falling every so softly on the dry dusty road. AGar's wife ran into the street after her husband, while their daughter Julie Ann was weeping in their home. She didn't believe they were actually going to kill him. She knew he was innocent, how could her husband do anything, especially murder.

The town didn't care, they thought they would get vengeance for what happened. They were hungry for blood. They strung AGar up on the tree, and asked if he had any last words. AGar looked at his wife, both had floods of tears,

"I didn't do it, I swear! You have to believe me!"

Then addressing the town, AGar proclaimed

" Look in my house! You'll find the tru.."

halfway through the sentence one of the town kicked the chair that AGar was standing on, causing him to hang from his neck only, three feet off the ground. AGar struggled for only a short time, eventually his legs went stiff. His wife couldn't look. She had to run. She had to get out of town.

"I am going to go to AGar's house in the night, to visit his grieving family. In the morning when we all return to the saloon I will let you all know what I find. Until then, get some rest. You are all going to need it."

walks into the saloon early the next morning. With a sad look on his face. Looking at the few men standing next to the bar he says, "

Men, we have some bad news. Gentlemen, there is no good news either."

As BigBear slowly walked over to the saloon next to the huddled group of men he exclaimed, "

It looks like there was another killing last night. We found ODDin lying next to the tree of life this morning. He was naked, tied with rope, and branded. On his chest there was one word, 'Surrender.' Now as graphic as I know this is, we the people of the town cannot succumb to this type of serial killings, by this group or faction that kills people! We must unite as a group to take down and destroy who we think is scum!"

And with that, BigBear went to the inside of the bar to grab a bottle of whiskey. The crowd of men grew excited, they knew they had to catch the right guy, they knew they would!

As BigBear slams down the empty bottle, he proclaimed, "

There's more bad news."

The men suddenly became quiet. Shocked, they didn't know how it could get any worse.

Last night, when I visited AGar's house,"

BigBear said, "

I gave my condolences to his wife. I began to ask her questions, I asked what AGar meant by 'finding the truth.' She didn't know much, she said that her husband couldn't have been the killer, he wouldn't hurt a fly. She showed me to his work desk, I searched through some of his possessions. What i found was good and bad. It was good because he didn't kill these men. It was bad because we killed the wrong man. AGar was just a lowly pauper for the governor. A Lobbyist, he ran errands for him, and these papers proved that he was just an innocent townsfolk."

With this other news being bad, the men were disheartened, or at least appeared to be. The men knew what they had to do now. They had to find scum, and kill them!

In the midst of all the fighting, everyone began giving proofs of what there jobs are that help the town. Some men gave proof that they are members of the town by showing their birth certificates, and others by finding their fingerprints in the town records. With the list winding down there were only a few left to claim their allegiance. Charlatan decided it was now time to point out what he saw last night. He claimed to have seen Papa Zito murder someone. The town quickly jumped on the wagon, they knew that if they had the right guy, that would lead the town one step closer to victory!

So, BigBear wanted to finish this quickly, he asked for a quick raise of the hand vote, to see if the majority accepted this truth. Nearly everyone raised their hands but a few. BigBear wanted to end this quickly. Papa Zito proclaimed that he had no intention of hurting the town, he was just a simple farmer!! BigBear said it was time to finish this, and to do it fast. With a quick slip of his hand BigBear pulled out his gun and shot Zito in the chest. Zito screamed loudly, the yelled about the pain. But there wasn't anything he could do. After a minute of of profuse bleeding, BigBear rummaged through his pockets only to find a card, a card commemorating him for his services towards the mayor. Papa Zito really did belong to the town.

With that, BigBear was stunned. He yelled to everyone,

"No one is leaving the saloon until we finish this! We're going to be sleeping here tonight. Lock the doors and windows,"

he directed towards Zorblog. And with that everything was locked up.

"Everyone, get some rest. We've had a long day."

The morning came early for the town of Antioch. The sky was not yet lit, and the town was still asleep. Unbeknown-st to the villagers, the killers were on the loose again. With sudden skill and precision, the dirty scum began killing off the inhabitants of the saloon. They slit the throats of three men, Scien, VP Balter, crypto and even Zorblog. The scum were quiet, but on the last one Zorblog squealed a little bit, if only enough to wake up the sheriff BigBear. BigBear looked in awe, scared and shocked at the same time...

"How... Could you?"

he asked. And with a wry smile on his face Albert B. Rampage looked at BigBear directly and in a deep voice he replied,

"Because we can...

" With that the two others began walking out the door of the saloon, looking for their horses.

"

So why are you leaving me alive?"

BigBear said to Rampage.

"Somebody has to tell our story, of how the three scum massacred and destroyed a whole town through diplomacy. We tore your little city to pieces from the inside out. And now we're going to burn it to the ground.

"

Immediately after that BigBear rose to his feet only to hear glass shattering, and a small bottle of whiskey flew into the room. Suddenly the bottle burst into flames when it hit the floor. BigBear didn't have much time, as he crawled through the broken window glass shards cut his forearms and legs as he fell to the ground. He saw the three strangers ridding their horses, throwing more Molotov's into the other houses and stores. The city began to lit, families that realized what was happening ran into the streets, crying asking who could have done this. No one knew where to go. They saw BigBear leaning against the burning, they ran to him, pulled him into the center of the street, near the tree of life which had still been untouched. They asked what happened, they asked if he knew who did this, and did all of the killings...

"The three strangers killed everyone. They burned the town down. Their gone now, they rode off towards Indian City, who knows what they are planning to do."

Someone asked if they should send a courier to Indian City, the answer was obviously yes.

As BigBear began was bandaged up by a local woman, he looked up at the tree of life, the backbone of their society.

"This faithful tree has been here for years, and it will be here for years to come. As long as the tree is around, there will be a town surrounding it. Tomorrow we will begin to rebuild the city together as a community. We will not let these evildoers turn ourselves against each other."

And with that, BigBear laid his head down next to the tree, the others soon did the same. They knew there was no chance in stopping the fires, as they were beginning to engulf the entire city.

There was not one building standing by the morning, but that would not stop the determination of the town to rebuild their loving town.

-I Had to change the set up because I accidentally PM'd a vanilla townie with the Scum PM, I don't know how that happened. Vi and I quickly went over what to do so that we didn't waste too much time.
-I probably should have put another role in, possibly a tracker.
-One of the major falling points for the town was losing the vig on night 1, that was a great kill by scum
- Another thing that i should have stressed, was specifically to Scien and SerialClergyman, neither of them recognized that they had additional power roles until I mentioned it in the "green zone" QT, and when I pm'd Scien to see if he understood his role.
-And at first I thought Scien was just being greedy with his vest.
-Scum played a very good game, Charlatan did fantastic, his town points really helped with his claim.
-I would not have ended the game earlier if scum had not targeted Scien as their roleblock. He was the only chance of survival, if he had passed it off to Crypto without being role blocked, there would have been another day.
-In retrospect, in accordance with the rules, I should not have counted day 2's lynch. It should have been a no lynch. The only way that I justified it, was because he was only 10 minutes off, and i know i've played other games where the same situation has happened, only I was in Charlatans position. (just not as scum)

Bigbear - it was my fault for not reading the role PM more closely, but in future I'd definitely not make the first two lines of the role PM identical to the vanilla PM. When you hear you are town and have two abilities, your voice and your vote, you tend to switch off. It's still my fault, but you know, for the sake of clarity I think saying 'You are a 1-shot vig' might grab the attention a little more

Well the whole point of the Role Pm's were to be slightly vague on purpose. However I should have spaced them it out a little more.

I like the concept of no reveal if the lynch is too late, but it should be in your ruleset somewhere if you're going to do that.
As a mod you should try to do as little off-the-cuff as possible.

Well, that wasn't at all why i chose to hide the lynch reveal. It just seemed to fit with the flavor that I came up with. I had no intention of doing that before the game had started, it just seemed, however, if that sort of thing happens every now and then, that would be interesting, and I may implement that in later games. And with that, I probably should have toned down some of the flavor. The papa Zito lynch looked like a mod kill, so much that I had to put that notice there.
