Groovy sounding role - so I assume this is one of those "I can neither confirm nor deny..." moments concerning the Motivator. Right now, WindSlicer has yet to check in. It's only been two days, and we haven't made it to the second page, so I'm not too worried.

JCP - you didn't unvote after these statements. To me, that implies you are purposefully bandwagoning now that you checked on the votes. I'll let my vote stick here for a bit longer.

I didn't
want
you to do anything, besides be a little clearer.

To answer your question - Minis normally run at about 3 mafia members. Sometimes there is a Serial Killer in addition to the 3-person mafia. And, sometimes it goes 2 opposing mafia groups with 2 members each.

What halfpint mentioned in her Post [40] is still evident - the past couple of posts that JCP and Talitha have made seem a little off to me.

- Talitha - thinks Johnny is most deserving of the vote
- JCP - states it's his first time as not mafia
- Talitha - "Oh, you're not mafia? OK, I'll switch to inHim."

Does no one else see the problem in the above?

There's not much for me to work with - basically my bandwagon stems from sticking with my random vote, a bad newbie experience/my "tone", and for the most reasonable one (from DP) - I'm now the biggest bandwagon. My voters have stayed with the vote because Astronaut hasn't posted since Wednesday, my lack of contribution after the flames died down, and then again with DP's perfectly sensible vote. What has happened is the typical Day One, no? (no sarcasm intended at all in that paragraph)

Astronaut - I think you blew my comment in [25] out of proportion. Why can't a random vote be just as good as a vote placed later on? I mean, I saw no other reason to vote someone, so I stuck with JCP.
Talitha - There are quite a few players without prying eyes on them, and they're not talking. You singled me out after I singled
you
out. I guess all's fair in love and war... but that kind of sounds OMGUS-ish.
DP - I don't blame you. But, let's go back to voting Johnny, shall we?

Because, this weird play between Talitha and Johnny continues. Johnny voted to be voting (hence the "who to vote"), and I suspect it's directly in response to Talitha's comment on dislike for non-voters. I have no reason to unvote or move my vote.

Not what I meant by that, and I think you know it. Your initial vote/post was not of the singling out variety. Normally, to single out is to present a case that shoves the votee under scrutiny - "it's more the tone of your posts" doesn't quite do that. It was not until after I mentioned how peculiar your play was that you launched a campaign.

And WindSlicer, the problem most have with your play is that we don't really know if you are being active in this game or not. It'd be too easy for scum to pull off what you're doing if we let that slide.

Hmmm... this Day has taken awhile. I think right now it either falls to Astronaut or DP (let's shamelessly bandwagon the shameless bandwagoner, no?). I'll cast a vote by tonight.

Half-hearted attempt at what? Trying to get Johnny lynched? I'd say I was fairly adamant. And now I'm wrong. Unless you mean I was half-hearted at something else.

I didn't mean lurking when I said flying under the radar. I meant not having been called to much attention yet. Mafia prefer to contribute, but lay low while doing so.

I never actually accused you or DP of anything (besides the bandwagoning- which I don't hold much credit against
now
); after my unvote, I at first thought you were the correct play for the day. If I were going to accuse you of anything, I would have voted right then and there. However, I said I'd cast a "vote by tonight" which I hoped you all could have intuited to mean I was going to think it over/re-read the thread. In my last post, the word "Actually" means that I since changed my impression after my re-read/thinking over my choices.

unvote: halfpint

I was suspicious that you didn't place a vote, but I think your analysis of Astro is objective, and that you did for the better of the town. Thus, that's why I have now removed my vote.

Ah. My word choice gets me in trouble again (and I'm not even Dutch). You are correct in that it was not an analysis. Let me just say her post was objective and for the better of the town, and that I no longer find the reason that I was voting for her to hold merit.

Here's an idea - Let's not lynch either one of them, as I don't feel like voting out a potential cop. If JCP is telling the truth, he will most likely be a target tonight. If he's not, well, we can sort through this Day 2. I personally like the vote on WindSlicer. Notice not only Coolbot, but the vote jumpers, too, if Johnny is telling the truth.

Sway me from this position, and I'll put the Johnny's lynch status beyond reasonable doubt.

In my opinion, Mafia claiming mason is suicide, GF or not. Because I hold such beliefs, my suspicions immediately jump toward Seol. Although, on a tangent of a comment by Seol, I think Phoebus might be fishing.

As far as my partner goes, I'll need to hear some solid support before I reveal. Of course, my partner may take the liberty to reveal themself at any time, and then, yes, we'd have ourselves a bloc.

Eagerly anticipating WindSlicer's revelation.

Yosarian2 wrote:Alright, after a quick skim of the thread, here are some general comments.

1. I'm not sure what a "day cop" is. From the discription, "he stopped crimes before they happened". Perhaps some kind of roleblocker or doc, then? I really wonder about the choice of words, though. If he's a day roleblocker or doc, would that imply the existance of a day-killer, or am I reading to far into this?
You're reading too much, I'm sure. In "Minority Report", Anderton stopped crimes because he knew who the criminals would be. That said, a day cop can reveal to the town who is evil during Day, so that person doesn't commit the crimes at Night (effectively stopping them before the crimes happened).
3. I've got to say, I'm most suspicious of Phobes right now, because I just don't like the way he's throwing around votes so easily in a possible lynch or lose scenerio. If there's one rule I've learned, it's that if you are town you should NEVER drop early quick votes like that in a possible lynch or lose scenerio, because the mafia could build a quick bandwagon out of that.

Even if we're not in an actual lynch or lose situation, I think we can expect that there is at least 2 scum and 1 SK or 2 groups of 2 scum each, so with only 4 votes to lynch, any incorrect bandwagon could quickly lead to a mislynch if scum from different groups or scum+SK jump on it, and no matter what the exact setup is, we're definatly in a situation where if we mislynch the good guys will be a minority tommorow. So I would expect that a GG, especally an experenced player, would be more careful with his votes then Phobes has been so far today; Phobes voted for windslicer (me) just to "keep him interested" and then quickly switched the vote over to Seol right after Seol accused him. I wouldn't have a problem with those kind of votes on a day 1, but with the situation we're in now I do NOT think that it's the time or place to throw votes around so carelessly.

fos:Phobes
. Phobes, if you are town, I would strongly request that you unvote and wait until we've had some discussion before you vote for anyone else.
And yet you don't even mention Seol's vote of Phoebus.

Phoebus is making a fantastic argument... I will be back to post later - could be an hour, could be tonight.

I'm agreeing that SK and townie usually look similar in posting. Seol was definitely not his usual townie-goodness self Yesterday. Willing to vote,
once we've heard from everyone else.

I've had quite a busy weekend.

Anyway, I'm not so sure that I'd vote for Seol at the moment, but rather vote for Yosarian. You say Seol may be scum on at least two different occasions, and I think three. Even if Seol does seem less suspicious than Phoebus, I'd expect a pro-town player to break down one side of the fence as well as the other. If Yosarian is scum, I do think it's more likely for Seol to be scum.

Yosarian, you've kept at Phoebus with a type of tunnel vision, and I think that's scummy.

I've been assigned a fairly long and difficult paper to write; it's doubtful I'll be of much use until Thursday. I'll try on my little mental recesses.

But he wasn't really a newbie. In the forums, perhaps, but he knew how it was in chat. This is probably not the place for a chat v. forum style discussion, but I'm throwing it out there because WS knew what he was doing.

You have to think - would no lynch hurt us? If it would then we don't lynch Astro yet. If not, that's fine by me. I'm pretty sure no lynch is extremely detrimental at the moment.

Assuming Astronaut is telling the truth, this leaves:
Yos
Seol
Phoebus
Talitha

If the setup is 3 and 1 or 2 and 2, anybody of these 4 are scum. I think that's plain to see. So, I'd start making a case either against Astro, or against the the 4 scum still standing theory.

OK then, assuming nothing of Astro - which one of you isn't scum? I'd like to know that.

I see. Thanks.

First off, I consider Katie Holmes = scum, or Katie Holmes = BS claim = scum. Phoebus, you got some explaining to do.

And you'd like me to believe your claim? The "blinders" comment isn't helping that pro-town attitude. And the "theorizing" appears to be nothing more than a set up.

Also of note: MeMe
really
doesn't like Legend. I've read her review of it. I'm pondering if bias possibly went into Jack's role somehow?

Yosarian is looking somewhat scummy with his comment on lynching the SK. Even though he said 2 and 1, I think Yos could be in a 3 scum group, which would definitely want us to lynch the SK.

I have to say I feel OK lynching Phoebus or Seol, but I'm now leaning toward Phoebus.
