I'm happy with my vote on Johnny, for now.

The Astronaut unvote of DP without voting for anyone else seemed... interesting, for some reason. What was your rationale there Astronaut?

I still think Johnny is the one most deserving of my vote. I have no intention of switching to Astronaut at this point. If I were going to switch, inHim is the one who has made my nose wrinkle the most. Just a hunch at this stage.

Bah,
unvote: Johnny

Not convinced he's innocent, but my conscience doesn't allow me to try and Day 1 lynch someone who might possibly be playing their first game as a townie.

vote: inHim

This vote's as good as any other

Uh, inHim, when you use quotation marks like that you should at least make sure that what is inside them has some resemblence to what the person actually said.

I'm content to get a feel for the new players on Day 1 without trying to lynch the pants off them.

Yeah - I'm about ready to be swayed from my that newbies never deserve to be lynched on day 1. (It's a hangover thing from
my
1st game.. I'm still traumatized.. :P). If I have a peeve that's even bigger than lynching newbies on Day 1, it's people that don't vote.

I'll stay on inHim for now, seeing as I'm waiting for his contribution (and he has the biggest bandwagon). Could easily change though. *Eyes up non-voters*

Hmmm... is it just me or does that post of Astro's( "It's much more fun to lynch someone when you know their name, isn't it?") imply that he thinks that Johnny would claim his real name, and therefore he thinks that Johnny is town.

I'm tending towards believing Johnny, so
unvote: inHim, vote: Astronaut

I think Astro may have slipped up when he made the comment about it being more fun to lynch someone when you know their name. When I called him on it he basically said he
did
think Johnny was scum, and thus he wanted him to claim. But if his statement was a serious one (which he hasnt denied) then it implied he didn't believe Johnny to be scum.

He's also been kinda coy in stating exactly what he's thinking.

I think it's the best evidence there is right now anyway.

I thought you would be familiar with the relevant Jeep tell (when someone says that a player is town without saying "if"). The reason I am a little hesitant is
because
it was a "strange comment" it makes me wonder if I'm mis-interpreting. But Astronaut's subsequent posts have made me comfortable to keep my vote on him.

Why ya stuck on Astro, P?

I think inHim put a vote on halfpint (who didnt have any votes) so that he didn't look like a bandwagoner. The when the pressure went off him, he thought he could afford to join one of the bandwagons, so looked for an excuse to unvote halfpint and revote someone like me. Have a look at his last few posts.

Hmm, that's a gutsy claim if it's not true. If no other masons turn up later in the game he can be lynched then.

He seems to be contradicting himself. (Nobody is scummy, oh, but inHim, the guy with the biggest bandwagon is giving out scummy vibes.) And my own neck is on the line so I'm declaring my self-imposed embargo on newbie hunting to be over.

Also,

Welcome Yosarian, thanks for replacing.

I haven't managed to read over yet, but I think we should take this day slowly anyway.

I still have inHim marked as a POI (person of interest). When I read over I'm going to asking myself whether I think DP had info on inHim. The fact that DP didn't believe the mason claim stands out in my mind. A partner coming out would make me slightly more comfortable with the claim, but I won't be 100% convinced unless a dead mason turns up.

I've finally caught up in this game - sorry about that.

So, most likely scenario is that we have 4 scum (divided 3-1 or 2-2) alive. I think halfpint made it pretty clear that she investigated inHim... so that and the mason claim are enough for me to declare him good for now.

Now as to whether the other mason should come out, there's pros and cons, I want to ponder it for a bit longer. The best play for the scum is to try and eliminate the other scum. If the scum distribution is 3-1, and we don't lynch one of the mafia today, and they manage to narrow down who is the SK and kill them overnight, it's curtains for the town. However, if there are 2 groups of 2 scum, we want them firing at each other and not the town, so it would possibly be advantageous to reveal the other mason.

My top picks for scum:
Astronaut
Seol

Not so sure on (but probably only one is innocent):
Yosarian
Phoebus
Fuldu

I'm not scum. And from where I'm sitting I think there's a more important question and that is, how are the scum distributed in this game? If it's 3 + 1, the last thing we want to do is lynch the 1. If there is a singular killer in this game I'm guessing it's Yosarian or Astronaut. Mainly because I can see things shaping up to lynch one of those 2 today, and I assume that the mafia would be trying to lynch the SK.

So, masons? We doing this mass claim thing? I think you two should be the ones to decide who claims first.

I've been thinking about it, and I'm not sure that it is going to help a lot... I can't think who the scum will be, is Tom Cruise ever a bad guy? Is it possible that the scum could claim their own roles and we'd never know they are scum? :?

I still think it's our logical next step though. I'm just not sure enough on who is working together. The Seol/Yosarian thing was obvious, but I tend to think it was a little too obvious :| And Phoebus has been pushing it pretty hard.. my gut says there's a good chance he's mafia with one of them (Seol probably), and Yosarian is innocent, or opposing scum.
