I'm typing this as I read up.

So, some things might be moot by the time I post, others might not.
Nonchalance in Post 20 wrote:I'm going to guess, with 22 players in the game, 3 or 4 werewolves. Since we don't have a SK or a second group, I'm leaning towards 4.
Has it been
expressly
mentioned that there is only one killing group?
Given the name of the game and only one night kill, I concur that it's not a bad conclusion. However, it is not the best conclusion that can be immediately leapt to.
IS died. Maybe his target survived? Maybe there's a blocker.
There might be other loony types in a village who want to eradicate the wolves and in their paranoia or mania, extend their killing to others.
If more kills turn up later, it can easily be said that you were one of the earliest to shift away from possible multiple killers.

I regularly have 6 evil roles in a game of 21. This is 22 people. While I wouldn't outguess the mod, isn't 4 too few?

Note as I read page 1: Pooky is awesome but crazy if he wrote that himself. While I think he could easily write that himself, seeing his histrionic abilities in the WKLML thread in mish mash, it isn't exactly easy to just go writing poetry. I wonder if he was required to post it...
mneme in Post 28 wrote:OTOH, it's worth noting that IS getting bumped off sez (to me) that we've got at least some experienced players among the mafia.
Au contraire. With Locus and IS in the same game, they can always be relied upon to provide lynch fodder for the first couple of days. At least Locus can.
As scum, I would've left well alone and gone for someone else who might not have potentially gotten doc protection. Scum had no way of knowing IS would be a doc himself and he's probably the "most experienced" in this game and a good candidate for doc protection night one.
I don't claim experience in game play but I claim presence of over a year when I make these comments.
Seeing as scum went after IS, missing the fact that he may have been protected (thus potentially wasting a kill) and also that Locus would almost invariably get himself lynched day one if IS was alive, I'd be inclined to say that scum are rather inexperienced and went after reputation than strategy - which has, luckily enough for them, paid of.

As far as STD's comments go.
It might be boring when the wives kill the husband but 8 out of ten husbands
will
be killed by their wife. And vice versa. Though I'll give Locus some credit and leave well be for now.

Coming to which: Post 36
This is for a number of reasons, starting with the idea of killing the people you most fear, moving on to that of not making a night 1 kill on somene very new before they even get a turn in, and probably for other reasons as well. IS is probably particularly good in that respect, since he's less likely to get doc protection (because his playstyle annoys some people).
I agree with points one and two but beg to differ on point three. if you're playing a game to win, as doc, you can't let petty squabbles interfere with your job.

Post 51 - Coolbot concurs on most points. Careful of doublethink/WIFOM trap though.

General role comment:
Siblings (twins) or lovers are indeed two players connected.
There could be many flavours. The most common is that when one dies, the other will too, of heartbreak. However, I prefer avenging siblings. When one dies, the other can kill one person the following night only, as an act of vengeance. I have also used these siblings as searching masons - in mini 101 and in a game elsewhere. So, I'd agree with Coolbot that we should let Pooky be. Did I mention he's crazy, btw?
Pooky does mention a lover though, and maybe they're estranged.

Coron's being sloppy.
While his posts would indicate ignorance to me, if the mod throws us a spaanner at us in the form of a human mafia as well, I'm voting him - for his insistence on calling the scum in this game mafia, when they are not.
Not worth a vote yet though.
roland wrote:I had a thought about the scum groups. Maybe there is more than one group, but each group can only operate on one cycle of the moon? Almost like an even-night/odd-night mafia, except full moon and new moon mafia? The main reason I thought this was because of the picture of a moon in each post by the mod, but I could be way off. Just a thought. ::shrug::
Erm...wolves kill each full moon night, regardless. It'd be terrible to keep them hungry on odd nights wouldn't it? I have a feeling that moonpic might just be the mod being fancy. ;)

Brushhopper:
I don't know where you come from but you seem to have been reading up on games on scum. It's funny you don't talk much but immediately pop up with an fos for FD2's no lynch vote.
Are you being an archaic minded sheep who still believes in the adage that no lynch voter = scum? Or is it a pretense which will be followed by a:
He voted no lynch. He MUST be scum. A townie wouldn't POSSIBLY do that
?
I swear - that post (#72) just hissed at me like a snake popping out from the grass. Either that or I've finally started hearing voices/sounds in my head.

Reading on, Coolbot receives a:

+2 goodie points to Stam. I know FD2 is just learning to play mafia, so I'd put it down to newness.
Bamboomancer in Post 85 wrote:FD2 probably didn't really know the rules, and I don't think that this is really a reason to lynch him, but I don't really know of any better targets.
Have YOU read the rules? The mod *does* allow no-lynches you know.

Well, that's about it for now.
With FD2 requesting replacement, his "behaviour" will prolly be put to bed with the arrival of the new replacement.
While Coolbot is being silly, according to me, since our thoughts meet (at first glance) I won't be voting him.
PeaceBringer makes some sense in that regard. (OMG!)

For now, I
vote: Dranko20
on a general feeling after reading the thread in one go.

And I must say - I now officially love STD. I dunno why I don't play more with him or he doesn't play more in my games! Something that needs to be looked at.

Stop spamming you two!

STD, I'd watch the language. Even if you're trying to be funny.
Bite into that? :P
JEEP says: Everone wants to tell you their role on some level. ;)

And I thought Wolfie loved me. It's a grudge now?
Oh well. I love STD anyway.

Pheobus, stop complaing about game participation, even if it is an o.O it is game participation. Better then saying nothing!
I'd complain less if you'd only spell my name right.
And I'm sorry, posting those stupid junk posts is nothing to do with participation. I don't call that participation, I call that being a blip on the radar and therefore, scummy.
I'd vote for either one of those spammers, yes spammers, if I weren't more keen on Dranko.

I agree with Coolbot here again, for Dranko has done nothing to clear himself of the bandwagon he finds being built upon him.

And PB, even your early style of posting a string of posts like having a conversation with yourself was better than just O.o These achieve no purpose and if you're condoning it, well I'd accuse you of encouraging 'blip on radar' behaviour.
As a townie, you want to help as much as possible. As scum, you want to blip so no one has it in for you.

brushhopper:
You could indicate your reasons behind the post I pointed out.
Your sole contribution to the game has been an FOS out of nowhere when FD2 voted no lynch. Were you being ideological sheep? Or stereotypical scum looking to seem like a townie?

And nanook, I'm not setting you up for anything. I'm just bitter! :P
And yay! STD loves me too!! :D

esme wrote:What do the o.O's mean and why are they spam?
They mean exactly nothing and that's exactly why they're spam.
Bamboomancer wrote:I don't think that either coolbot or dranko has done anything horrible, so I just can't put my vote on either of them right now
Coolbot has really done anything outrageous other than be a stereotyped mafia vet.
Dranko gave me an odd feeling during my catch up and that's why I'm voting for him.
He's being generally odd and is being voted for. He hasn't defended himself and like the mage said, Day one would be essentially random anyways.
Dranko can't seem to be arsed to do anything about it. :|

Maybe some more voting pressure will help. 6/11 may not be enough.

You would probably do a better job saying that you're confused and uncertain than posting that.
It's still a blip and nothing more.
In the context, they still mean nothing and MoS is mirroring you for no reason.
This isn't the first time he's done that. I saw him go LMAO to someone ROFL in another thread.

Your total contribution to this discussion? Zip.
Even now - While I'm happy to see you're apparently paying attention, you still have no input?

Pardon the double post, my connection was acting up.

esme - there's already a fair bandwagon on someone who is being non commital at this time. Why would you want to dismantle it and go after someone else? Especially after you seem to have taken a stand against Coolbot for being a disciplinarian.

Whether there are multiple seers depends on the overall game design.
With a possible single kill group, there might be only one seer.
Else, there might be a seer and maybe his apprentice.

With multiple kill groups, we'd probably have multiple seers.

If there is only one seer but the group is as large as has been speculated, we might have another cop-ish role who snoops or something.
Tons of possibilities.

And Stam, no. If Dranko is lying, the real seer need not come out. With the doc dead, Dranko will go sooner rather than later if he's the real thing.
However, again - given the large setup, we might have a healer apprentice or and apothecary or whatever. We might as well have Dranko investigate Coolbot tonight and see what he says, since Coolbot has raised warning flags for someone.

Well, this day *is* long and now heading to pointlessness with a cop claim.
We need to do something about it soon enough.

esme -
What I posted earlier was out of puzzlement. Not an attack.
However, it is now.
Your logic about non voters was redundant for that time frame. Others unvoted and revoted and he claimed. So your suggestion still smells iffy and seemed aimed at bandwagon deconstuction.
With practically nothing to go on, it's just something I noticed. That you would call it an attack, is interesting.
With even more "practical nothing" to go on for now, I might as well vote for you.
Claim villager or something so we can lynch you without too much ceremony?

The only way my vote is going to change now is if someone's bandwagon+claim gets sufficiently far along that we're deciding we're going to lynch them.

Otherwise it can stay on esme.

I really couldn't care to run after Coron, have him make another claim. This is not a hop on/hop off tour. I'll go to London for that.

Well, I've read through on this day and like wolfie, have come up with squat on re reading mneme's posts...

I'm very tempted to vote three people:

esme for reasons stated yesterday and the interesting fact that a bandwagon building up on her was derailed and redirected towards brushhopper for a minor mistake on his part.

draygn_mage for his post above which is either totally naive or totally scummy.
Our cop? Our doc?
We have another claimed cop and the doctor was supposed to have wolfsbane. I'd assume there would be another one there. The herbalist might have been one shot.

Pooky for what could be a very daring plan to stay right in the open and not arouse suspicion by pseudo-claiming a role through his poetry. We all know that Pooky has a way with words (at least I do) and it would be incredible on the mod's part to include such a role because not everyone is so eloquent and it would've been useless had it been assigned to say, IS or even myself.
I'm fairly certain it is not a posting restriction or requirement as that would be quite strange. It's almost as if the bear is rubbing our noses in it...
It's interesting that even with a pseudo-claimed lover role, Pooky isn't dead since the lover mechanic will guarantee scum two deaths - buy one get one free?

Wolfsbane as explained on the Princeton site (where the PDF came from, which is also consilidated) IIRC was that someone has the wolfsbane potion and they can sprinkle some on someone's doorstep to ward off wolf attacks.

A doc w/ wolfsbane would suggest this is what happened.
At times, a wolfsbane can be a role immune to wolves like the bulletproof vest.

And I'm sorry but 2 mafia (evil/scum) factions can easily fit into a game of 22/23.
Unless you meant something like 2 mafia groups and one wolf group, which IS unlikely, one mafia and one wolf isn't unlikely. The title of the game, however, would suggest otherwise to me.

Here.
I tried scanning from a magistrate tell from somone who wasn't too keen on lynching rouge but came up empty. I didn't do too thorough a job though.

Dranko's observations are interesting. He could possibly be naive but there has been no other cop, has there? There was speculation that the Bot was, but he came up as a martyr...

I'm voting for milkman off the same sort of hunch roland had.

As far as Dranko's sanity goes. It's interesting to see that he claimed cop when he first came under pressure day one and by now, he has only innocents and he *thinks* he's naive.
Maybe he is sane. maybe he isn't. Maybe milly's a Wolf with investigation protection. I'm not following the cop right now.

But you must admit, it makes for rather interesting balance.
If you didn't know he was a wolf, he need not have known you were scum.
Interesting.

Why you wouldn't hang Pooky out to dry is because your deaths are related...it's a matter of survival. Hmm...

That depends on the mod I would suppose.
Personally, I never send a dead investigator results.
Other mods send a result that "you died" or something like that.

Well, it's funny how things seem to get fixed after I make a fuss about them.
My regular connection's back but with the weather forecast, I wouldn't be surprised too much if I dropped out.
For now, lynch roland.

Er...wha?
You're following him?
Pooky mentioned he would be seen as evil.
Dranko's obviously naive or lying scum.
I was just about to help you bandwagon Pooky.

We seem to have a doctor/blocker?

Suppose it's too early to reveal, but if the person who was protected last night gets close to lynch, please speak out.

This is tiring.

I wasn't too convinced Wolfie was evil but he was. I might just play follow the leader for a while.
I STILL don't like the fact that Pooky is alive. Killing him is like a dual kill for the Wolves.
I wonder if he can't kill but still counts towards Wolf numbers and has draygn as a balanced dead weight...

I don't know anything.
If they did, it's up to the doctor to reveal that.
In which case, we have three confirmed innocents. No?

Then we'd come back to Dranko our "naive cop" who's still alive.
One would think that since he isn't useful, scum might go after him to avoid a situation like this where they potentially miss a kill.

So you mean they should keep on not killing?
Most mods follow three day no lynch/no kill = game over.

I don't like mage's latest statement.

explain it. why would you even suggest that wolves would not kill? how is it in their best interests?

to keep YOU interested -

PookyBear - Not in mafia, no. Especially not when it lets scum win.
Once I find true love, I'l get back to you about that iRL.

With all kudos and due 'ratz to Pooky and the Scum for winning, giving Pooky a scummie for this is like underlining the ineptitude of this town. But then, you know I've got a stick up...well...you know...
