I thought this was a great idea. Worked very well in that game too. Notice day 1 the scum had 10/12 people alive lynching him. Also make larger bandwagons possible earlier in the day as people are less hesitant about someone being close to a lynch. All in all felt the mechanic wasn't gimmicky and resulted in a great end to day 2 with semioldguy taking down a scum as he was about to die.

If self nom's are bad, surely they won't get seconded/thirded? I've no problem with them. And even if an 'unworthy' nomination does get through then, well let the judges deal with it. I don't see it being a huge problem.

I couldn't tell you, but I imagine if people start self-nominating a ton of games it would be more difficult to find the worthy games.

Surely unless the game is scummy worthy it wouldn't be seconded/thirded anyway, for the most part. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I'd imagine the same situation occurs with non self nom's. Obviously people who've judged would no better, so I guess I bow to their experience if they've found the opposite.
