I sense a failure to detect sarcasm. These are sizable posts considering it is pre-game. I merely stated an observation. But since you like questions so much.

1. If you were paying attention you'd realize we were answering questions prox asked. Why did you fail to notice this?

2. Why didn't you answer the questions?

- tl;dr. Only thing I saw was asking for meta. I am against playing by meta, as I personally have no set style. Too much WIFOM arises from using meta, hence enough justification for me to tl;dr.

3. Is there any point to your question? Do you have issues with the "large blocks of text" or are you just surprised?

- A period may have been better, but one can say that, when they are entering a thread to confirm, being greeted with relatively big posts would justify a "?". Secondly, the ?, goes to put a "maybe" as to whether those posts can be considered "walls of text".

The only thing before D1 is N0... clarify what you are saying. Pre-game means the game hadn't started yet, and hence no one could perform any actions prior to start of D1. That is what N0s are for.

If this game is day start, then no actions have been performed yet. I have never heard of anyone acting before N1 in a day start.
If this game is night start, then mafia got no kill off, as I saw no mention of anyone dying, and that what you are saying in terms of zwet scanning you is true.

DNA Decoder

is, in essence, someone who decodes DNA. The best example of these types of scientists are those who worked on the Genome Project, decoding the human DNA, and finding out what each sequence represents. One does not decode DNA in forensics, one matches it to others (DNA profiling). While methods such as electrophoresis may involve using DNA/RNA/proteins, though it is based on running the given sample and analyzing how it compares to a known sample. In essence, DNA profiling, which is the identification of individuals through the use of their respective DNA profiles, does not, in any way, involve DNA decoding. A simple example of this principal (while not necessarily DNA profiling), is fingerprints. This was what also suggested to me that shotty's claim is not entirely believable.

To put it short, zwek's claim of Evidence Collector (or something along that line) is believable as it is what occurs at a crime scene, but a DNA decoder simply does not exist in the realm forensics, and I doubt, in this game.


p.s. I do not know how clearly I explained everything, so if any part is confusing, just ask. I still think shotty's claim is BS, though prox's bad play made him an easy target.

I received information on 3 samples, one of which stated prox is scum, another stating that DJ is town, and a third that is unnamed and "inconclusive". As I do not know who this mystery inconclusive is, I am asking zwet, who is the claim evidence collector. As such, he should know who this unnamed person in my report is.

Once LMP and zwet announce their scan targets, the mystery "inconclusive" should be known. At this point I actually don't care who claims scan targets first.

Also, why would you have 2 evidence collectors, but only 1 examiner? Just think about it, that would be a silly setup now wouldn't it. Considering that I'm not even given the names of the DNA samples I receive unless 1. The target is investigated a twice (now I get this, before I thought it was only zwet, and thus this made no sense), and 2. If a suspect dies, their name and alignment are revealed, regardless of having been investigated or not.

Ok, I meant to post this post an hour ago, so I did not address anything in the last 2 posts.

@Mysterio: What are you asking about? If you are talking about the first thing I claimed, it was just a fraction of my report meant to clarify who the "inconclusive" is, as I am not given names.

On that point, what is even more interesting is the fact that I was not told of the name of "sample D", despite it having been investigated twice. Hence I decided to use the "Oh hi I received random report" thing.

I think someone asked if I knew prox was the scum that was investigated pre-game, I did not know. Furthermore, I did not receive the report for N1 in time as mod sent it late and D2 lasted all of 24hrs or less. Not like we needed the information anyways.

@Doom: Town seemed so powerful because we went 2/2 for lynches. In all honesty, considering that I do not get the names of those investigated (unless they are investigated twice (hence two investigators), or that they die, the role of evidence collector imo is a tricky one if say all the scum were still alive. (for one, finding out which player triggered a scum reading if any)

Last thing: Considering that I will most probably get NK'ed, I still don't entirely buy doombunny's claim of commuter, given that the game does not end with pacman lynch. Something about that seems too convenient imo, and would essentially give the town 7 PRs.

Firstly, I got 2 investigation reports last night. I had to ask mod some questions, but I got 1 inconclusive, and 1 scum (two different people). Before, I thought that, as LMP is no longer alive, I find it meaningless for zwet to claim and lynch based on report analysis. However, as it's now confirmed that the inconclusive and scum are two different people... I would say don't claim scan target yet as I must head out know and I need some more time to think about things. I do not like WIFOM, and have a feeling lynching by scan targets would lead to that (whether to lynch or declare zwet's target as innocent).

We are not facing a godfather though. As mysterio said earlier, probably a mafia roleblocker left. Why I hadn't wanted to zwet to claim earlier, since we wouldn't know if 1. Zwet's was actually the inconclusive and 2. Who LMP's is.

Unless, we have 4 scum left. We have time to discuss today though.

(why they killed off one cop, let other investigate, and hopefully cause mislynch (they most definately did not expect LMP's investigation to still go through)). That at least is the only explanation I can think of as to why LMP was killed off last night instead of me (I mean, if you have 2 investigators and 1 investigation-receiver, why would you leave the receiver half alive?)

No, we lynch zwet's target because (1) we know for a fact he was investigated and is either inconclusive or scum giving us a 50% chance of catching scum and (2) LMP isn't around to tell us who he investigated, so lynching anyone else would be a total guess.

I answered in my last post, but I'll answer again to make it clear. I know that the inconclusive and LMP's scum trigger are two different targets. I mind as well post full investigation report for your benefit.

That was fun, especially when I had to cross my fingers for the last two days and hope I wouldn't be lynched.

Other things:

- The setup was really balanced and like shepherd said, depended a lot on each players skills rather then just having uber-awesome roles. At first glance it looks like its town sided since town can easily clear each other through investigations and association but once you realize that by clearing people you're just letting the scum know who to kill it becomes a lot more balanced.
- I was pretty lucky. I probably wouldn't have won so easily if I hadn't given contaminated results on Pacman twice.
- commuter claim = bad idea. If I claimed VT I could have won a lot easier.

Overall I had a lot of fun

Also the reasoning about my killing of Kat rather than zwet last night didn't have that much to do with zwets "If I die lynch DB" post (which actually shouldn't have been considered at all since if town listened to zwet and i killed him I'd be lynched and if I didn't I'd be considered as "he didn't want to be lynched so he must be scum". I was just me playing it as safely as I could. Ididn't want to risk Kat outing another investigation, even if it would end up as inconclusive.
