What Tasky said. Claiming DV this early just paints a target on your back.

Also, ftr: I played a game not too long ago in which the DV was recorded as a DV. (Although Nikanor had to actually type: Vote: Person x2) Here's a VC

Claiming Nobby is one thing, claiming Double voter, comes with the name claim, given the Daybreak post of gaining Charisn'tma. Claiming VT? Not a good idea.

Assuming the claim is true, Scum now effectively cross you off the NK list. Dead PR > Dead VT, from a scum point of veiw.

Given the Flavour of the game, anyone (without a good knowledge of the series) would be very hard pressed to come up with a beleivable Fakeclaim. On that issue:

Who
Doesn't

Mysterio is at L-1, claimed Nobby Nobbs, VT (Temp. DV). I personally feel that he's probably telling the truth on the Nobby-VT claim, (although flavour wise, Nobby would qualify for some kind of thief role.) Therefore I will not be dropping the ==[]

/prodded. Apparently MS ate my post yesterday.

so the quick version:

I don't actually like how the Narsis Wagon built up. (I had a paragraph or two, but events since have nullified those points)

Plum seems Town. Mysterio aka Nobbs is prob. town.

VV seems scummy Fakegod is null-scummy. need to see more from the rest before I get a good read.

The odd one out on the list was Weatherwax, a Witch. The rest are watchmen. (Detritus is a troll btw) /off-topic

Backtrack city, here we come! You clearly said "I'd like to hear Narsis' response before voting for him." This implies that you were not merely willing to vote for Narsis (apparently that's default status towards all other players for you; if you were merely as willing to vote him as anyone else, why state it at all?) but actively considering doing so, depending on his responses. You were considering it, and you were interested in it. You never stated why you would be. Please explain.

Also, while you're at it, explain what prompted you to unvote Mysterio.

Screw it; trying to get out of answering questions, plenty of other stuff including backtracking on the Mysterio wagon (first him claiming VT was directly scummy, then "I'm not intending to be confrontational, that claim is just
Mysterious
(ha) to me") for no explained reason, the rolefishing coupled with the outraged reaction to Mysterio's bite at the bait is more than enough to want KHG strung up.

Just saying Rolefishing is a Scum tell, doesn't help. As afaict it isn't much of one.

I know that I'm probably the antithesis of a good townie. And I know that I tend to Rolefish (sometimes inadvertently), ALOT. Alignment independent. Null tell.

Sorry I haven't been paying as much attention to this game as I should. But I just bought L4D and been playing that every waking minute. [/not a real/good excuse, but w/e.]

So I see wagons on myself, VV, and FakeGod. I assume I'm being wagoned for lurking. AFAIK VV for Rolefishing/role-harpooning :P, FakeGod for... Wagon hopping and an overly strong attack at odds with the rest of his play?

OTOH: Thor looks extremely town, Plum looked good D1, but slacking a bit. I'm getting Null reads on Jimfinn, Budja, Tasky-v/la, and Buttonmen (And VV). null-Scummy on Narsis. idk about Fakegod. I'm going to look back on some past games for him.

Well that doesn't help :?

So I'll just have to contrast it one of your town games...

FakeGod - Townie wrote:
kunkstar7 wrote: You find it weird that Fate changed his post style, but he seems more logical, so you are hesitant to follow him? Then you blatantly join the wagon just because Fate said so? Do you understand the reasoning behind the wagon?
Well, logic doesn't mean I should follow him. I play by inconsistency-tell, so when someone suddenly changes stance I get suspicious.

When I said logical, I didn't mean he was more convincing, but rather in a different style. It was a miscommunication. Don't worry about it.
This Quote just sticks out at me, because FG claims (as part of his town meta) to play by inconsistency-tell, yet commits inconstancies here.

Trust a Uni to give a person two assignments, a test, and a presentation all on the same week though >.<

I targeted VV-Vimes for a JK last night, as I figured the scum wouldn't want a confirmed townie running around. (Given that Vimes was Mod-confirmed to be in the game, was un-cc'd, and had a Day-cop power, which is pro-town, especially considering that he found scum.)

Plus, you do realize you're just repeating what Thor said about the setup. Anything you want to
add

Yeah sure.

Given Series Flavour, I'd be reluctant to believe that Dorfl is town.

Nobby, Vimes - Both Important Characters in the books.
Colon, Angua, Carrot, Detritus - Other important Characters in the books

Dorfl... Not so much. Down there with

FG wrote:You said you still believe that mod confirms not only town but scum as well, even if I were to flip VT.

This means you believe that among the mod-confirmed players (Mysterio, VV, me, New-mod-confirmed-player), there is a scum.

Mysterio and I were VT, and VV claimed Vimes and caught us a scum.

By process of elimination, the last player in question (the new-mod-confirmed-player) has to be scum, according to your beliefs.

Is there anything wrong with my deduction?
What's bugging me is how FG is overextending this 'logic' of his, to say that Mod Day power #4 MUST be scum.

He assumes that
his
being 'town' is a forgone conclusion for
everybody
, thus pushing a lynch on tomorrows player

So people disagree with my playstyle. (fyi: Lurking is a meta null-tell)

And I don't play like other outed PRs. Tough shit if I've never bothered to engineer my playstyle for a particular situation, especially one I've never encountered before. (Of Gods and men doesn't count, as it was extremely power heavy)

I spot a tell, I'll think it over, maybe check an iso, and then, if I believe it's actually valid, present a case. Spam-a-lot is not endorsed. Until then, I'm going to post what I need to, what I can help with, and lend my vote where needed. If I see a WoT case I largely agree with, maybe having pointed out something I missed, I'm not going to try fabricate additional reasons to vote someone, because the WoT is sufficient and damning enough.
[/rage]

--

I gambled, protected VV, and (presumably) stopped a kill. Probably won't get so lucky twice. Ofc all this debate about whether I'm actually a JK is probably going to wifom the scum into keeping me alive for the potential of an easy lylo win. until then, I'm going to try stay one step ahead of them.

Chrono - Fred Colon - JailKeeper
Thor - Angua - Neighbour
Budja - Carrot - Neighbour

TBM - Downspout - VT
Plum - A.E Pessimal - VT
VV - Vimes - VT
FakeGod - Dorfl - VT

Well, it appears that PRs can gain Day-Powers (re:Carrot).

I'm guessing that Scum can get day-powers too, because Tasky was "Cheery", a female Dwarf Watchman (watchwoman?), who was revealed to be Chrysoprase, a Troll businessman. I think the mod would eventually having given "Cheery" a power.

A consistent Doc (Narsis), A consistent JK, a pair of (unconfirmed) Neighbours, and some VTs. w/ OS day powers

vs.

A Goon (Tasky) and ????. Who I think can gain Day-powers.

Radical idea.

D2, I claimed JK'er shortly BEFORE night started. There was no kill.

I thought that I got lucky and protected VV.

It's too late to ask, but Narsis/Igor-Doc may have successfully protected someone else instead...

Overall, the Jailkeeper claim fit my fake-claim flavour. Naturally, once the doc flipped, I knew my time was limited.

I note that I was advocating NK'ing Budja-Lover, but was overrode by TBM to kill Narsis-Doc instead. Might have swung the game in our favour. oh well.

I liked the flavour. :D

Better to be suspected of VI-town, than picked out as scum. :P
