@Mod : Is it normal that battleship is an active ability? Could you clarify how it works? Is it a standard "bulletproof" ability, or a doc ability?

(Battleship is the equivalent of the "Doctor" ability from a normal, flavorless game. The rhetoric "single non-nuclear" merely means that if a player is targeted with multiple nightkills, the player will die. --AGM)

I must say that I have a lot of doubts on the benefits of "scumhunting" while no votes are present, hence my relative silence. Hopefully the game will start soon.

ooooh shiny wagon.
Vote: Faraday

Is it really a good idea to narrow down who has the submarine?
Yes. There is a time where we will claim our abilities, and I will automatically assume that the one with the submarine is scum if he hasn't claimed before. Also, it's definitely not a NK-target.

But yeah, don't claim. People that missed their first choice are less likely to be PRs.

Ridiculous.

- Claiming someone is town without explanation : a classic scum move
- I don't see how someone can not see the benefits of knowing the scum abilities. I'm even pondering a hunt to determine if scum have air base or another scum-like ability, because that would allow us to pseudo-clear people that
don't
have these abilities.

stop trolling, please.
Stop using three sentence words, please. And yes, saying "bla is town" is more often heard in scum mouths than in town mouths.
yeah I don't think this'll work out in practise though.

Oh, I know you would. Gonna have to explain my 'behaviour' though and what's wrong with it that makes me worthy of dying.
You have been playing the idiot in all your recent posts. Either you are indead a townie wanting to be counterproductive, or a scum trying to give himself a style. I lean towards the second.

And for the record, I maintain that "X is town" is more often heard in scum mouths than in town mouths (especially without explanation).

There is mainly three reasons :
- First, town has no reason to say they believe someone to be town when this person is not attacked. It only helps scum to help decide on their nightkills.
- Second, scum has a lot of reasons to say someone is town. It "looks" like scumhunting, usually makes the scum take less pressure than an accusation, and has some buddying effect.
- Last, this is not well known has a scumtell, so scum usually don't try to avoid this.

Hinduragi wrote:-You voted Andrius for a gut read. That's an attack. Town also wants to proclaim their reads so other town knows where they stand and so they will (hopefully) see it the same way.
They want to proclam their
scum
reads. Not their town/neutral reads.
Hinduragi wrote:-I've been on this site for less than two months and I already know saying town will get you called for buddying. It happened in my first game.
Your point is?
Hinduragi wrote:-Town don't try to avoid it either because it's not well known as a scumtell.
It's less natural for town. The fact that they don't try to avoid it doesn't remove the fact that town do it less than scum.

--

Anyway, I want to say now that i'm voting Faraday for a lot more than just his "blah is town". His defense based on "everything you say is crap, go away" is not suiting me at all. The indirect defense of Faraday by Hinduragi is noted.

Inaccurately calling on meta-authority to back up a shitty point, also backpedalling. I'd go so far as to say this backpedalling is
classic
!
Classic as in "i consider this move as a move that scum is really inclined to make"
Not well known as in "not all people are aware of this"

There is no contradiction there.

Nice misrep. I didn't say they were the same thing, but that they were not incompatible : a classic
move
for scum can be not that well known to town.

I don't see your point. I'm still voting Faraday for a combination of this tell and of random non-explained posts.

The fact that people think the tell is bullshit is evidence that it's classic?!
No it's evidence that it is not well known. Read my posts, kthxbye.

Elscouta, a classic move for scum can also be a classic move for town, hence it's not used as a tell.

And lol? You just refused to give some kind of past games explaining the tell but instead linked a wiki article that needs possible revision in defense of you being at L-1? I don't like this at all.
And what am I supposed to do?

Explain why it is a tell? I already did.
Wade through 200+ pages of mafia to find one? I have other things to do of my time.

Did you miss my #185 as well as the points everyone else had to add to the argument or are you just trying to be funny?
Yeah, I read them. I disagree. Now what? It's not as if i'll convince anyone that it is a tell, when it takes three months to settle a single meta dispute on any topic.

Indeed, you can replace "voters" by "accusers" in my previous post if you prefer. Still you are testing the waters and indirectly adding fuel to the fire while trying to avoid commitment.

As for the tell, the fact that you don't accept it doesn't mean I can't use it (and it is not the main reason i'm voting you. By far).

Moreso than SpyreX? Are you sure you didn't just want to vote for Hindu because...someone else already had?
No. SpyreX is as worthlessly bandwagony as usual (I already played with him). And yes, it's the previous vote on Hinduragi that made me read it in iso.
