Quiet laughter seeps through the speaker system as the adrenaline fades from your systems. Eventually, the irritating noise stops and your anonymous tormentor speaks again:

The klieg lights slowly warm back up, bathing the tableau around you in first sepia, then tawny tones, finally shading to a silvery glare. Most everyone seems to be be rousing from a rough sleep on chairs or risers, but as you look around you note that someone seems to be missing. A quick search of the room reveals Empking's twisted body hanging from one of the heavy ropes in the wings of the stage. Just as someone yells out that they've found him, the loudspeaker hums on:

Clever, clever. Still many more moles to root out, though... and your fearless leader doesn't seem very warmed up by this turn of events... or maybe he just has bigger things to worry about.

To the left of the stage, one of the television screens fuzzes brightly and resolves into the shot of mith in the basement, who looks worse than ever. After a moment the screen freezes, no longer live data but a still shot.

As you regroup to discuss, leaving Seraphim's slightly slicey body hanging from one of the wings of the stage, a rumbling noise burrows into your eardrums. Discussion grinds to a halt as the girders on the right side of the stage collapse one by one, like some sort of cheap slow-mo Hollywood effect. A resounding clang half-deafens you as the entire assembly gives way, burying Seraphim's body in a pile of steel and velvet. The lights fade to black as the intercom sizzles into life:

The house lights come up on a grisly scene. Two fewer of you breathe this ... morning? Afternoon? What time IS it, anyway? How much time has passed since this nightmare started? In any case, two corpses decorate the amphitheater. On the stage, SpyreX appears to have been garrotted with a piece of piano wire, his body left splayed just behind the podium as if he had been drinking too much. But in the back row, you find vollkan's body bent and broken, hanging over one of the seats like a discarded coat. While you're searching the bodies, the public address system crackles back on:

As you look around for another rafter to tie a rope to (and some more loose rope, this stuff is getting scarce), the public address system hisses into life. After a moment, you realize not all of that noise is mechanical... someone is NOT happy.

As the voice goes dead, you hear the scamper of giant cat paws drifting away over the open circuit, only to be slowly replaced by the sound of men's dress shoes coming from the back area of the stage. After a moment of stunned anticipation, mith comes around the corner of the curtain, still disheveled and bleeding, but with a small smile on his face.

"Thanks, folks, for your assistance in all of this. I'm not clear where Felinus Maximus got time-travel technology

(damn that Doctor and his irrational affection for woodland creatures)

, but it sounds like he'll be back... someday. But for now, I need to clean up. We have an awards show to do. "

Well, that was comprehensive.

Night 1
Mafia does not send in a kill

Deliberate or just forgot? The entire mafia team were lurkers or semi-lurkers at some point.

Not ENTIRELY forgot - Patrick and I screwed up when he went V/LA, and I didn't get the full role PMs or scum QT from him. He had minimal access, but it didn't happen in time for me to see that scum had 'decided' in the QT, but forgot to copy me when they sent in their choice.

And then when Seraphim needed to replace in... I owe him for taking that thankless slot. He really didn't have his role PM yet, but of course it wasn't the role PM you all were asking him about, so...

All in all, pretty good game by town, but we screwed up by having confirmable players in a multilynch situation. Better way to handle Role Cop would have been to either just give Power/No Power, or the type of role without alignment.
