locke: just to let you know inhim usually buddies up with me. prolly because he knows im a lose cannon and think he can read me well. i then know that if he doesnt support me then hes prolly scum. weve just played so long together its habit and if it doesnt happen then one of us is scum. if it does happen then we both are town, or both scum, or one is scum and we are following our normal game play not to look suspicious.

So you are saying if inHim buddies you (as he seems to be doing), either you are both town, or both scum, or one of you is scum. That seems like a long-winded way of saying absolutely nothing.

I would say that this actually says a little more. It says, if we do not buddy, exactly one of us is scum, but if we do buddy, you can't tell anything about our alignment. So a little more than saying absolutely nothing.

To those who have not played with me before: I don't post all that much in the early stages of games in general, unless I see something that gives me a strong read. I tend to wait until my reads are stronger, so that I don't backtrack or lead others the wrong direction. Especially when I have a PR with some form of investigation, I am relatively inactive on D1 in order to allow my power to help me develop at least one of my reads.

In my F2F games (my first mafia experience) and my first online game, I got absolutely mauled for backtracking, so I've played a little more cautiously since.

I'm describing my D1 meta as a whole in that post, without regard to this game. I was not intending to imply that I have or do not have an investigative role, and neither should be assumed. I just did not want to confuse those who had seen me in other games.

I'm leaving my vote on DMSIS in light of his recent posts. Only for scum does it really make a difference who is the hammer, in my experience. Scum want towncred for hammering their buddy, but the town doesn't care who hammers as long as the scum dies.

To be fair, it's pretty much different for him in general:I played with him as my scum buddy once, and he was terrible that game as well, so maybe he's just finally decided to take the game more seriously. Basically, I wouldn't look further into it than that, it's probably a null thing. It is good to see though. I do agree with you that his vote is weak, and Raj is a player I have no problems with so far, I think he's been decent.

I also like GW so far, his posts against Mongoose were much better done than mine, he gave way better reasoning for it, and actually exposed his flaws. That seems like scumhunting to me, so he's looking like town right now.

I still don't even get why Raz is considered suspicious in the first place, right now the only concern is the lack of content, which is the case for a few of us. For now it's probably best to give him some time to make a good post, and see if he delivers. If not, then maybe I'll find him suspicious. Right now he's really done nothing that would help determine his role, so he's completely null.

Even if Antihero weren't the towniest player on my list, which he is, I would still say this is great advice to follow. If you for some reason doubt that he is town, do not doubt that his advice is good.
