I would think it were fairly obvious that when I said role, I meant ROLE, not character. All I was saying was that while it gave a flavor description of my character's abilities(or lack thereof), it never actually said, "You are CHARACTER, Town ROLE"

So I had to PM the mod to figure out the specifics.

Mine strongly implied that I was a

certain role

, but I actually had to ask the mod to be sure.

These basically sum up everything I felt about chkflip's "catch". It was obvious that it would mean the role itself, not the rolename. If it was rolename, why would gandalf:
1. not use wikipedia/google to figure out his character?
2. ask a mod if it was just rolename?

I will say that (based on Gandalf's reaction + my own) that these role PMs can be pretty verbose, and possibly confusing, depending on how Lord Bowser words things. I was borderline on chkflip before but yea now he deserves a vote. I have a few other leads based upon the posts between my previous posts, but chkflip is more suspect atm.

Ok. So I've looked at a couple of players over the past day and here are thoughts. (Im not putting a full iso down because I'm still working every angle)

muh316: I'm not sure what to make of this. His push for an early lynch is suspicious, yet he offers himself to be lynched. Hard to read, but whatever he is, he isnt acting pro-town.

diddin: idk, something is off with him. His FoS on David was unfounded and out of nowhere. David already made the notion that diddin was scummy but after Gollum voted, David followed. OMGUS might be in the works here, but unsure.

danakillsu: I agree with CKDs position. Dana has been kinda coasting along and I think his latest vote on diddin is out of desperation to show geniuine scumhunting w/o jumping onto one of the bandwagons already.

chkflip: Meh, he's acted more town and gone under the radar ever sense muh jumped on his wagon. Still watching you. .

1. I'm unusure of what ckd means by "covering his bases" in regards to chk/muh before chk called him out there. I really don't see dana intentionally FoSing and voting a player in order to prevent you from calling him out on it.

2. I will agree my previous post was worded off the mark, let me try again. Dana, you had very little individual thought with a vote you quoted another player on and then a FoS on an already large bandwagon. When CKD put pressure on you, you quickly changed votes based on an iso you've been doing for a while.

3. In regards to the "catch," i wasnt sure how to interpret it so I just called it interesting. Yea yea not really a catch, but still the interaction between you and dana warranted a quick read through of both parties.

Overall opinion: Still unsure of what to think, but still keeping an eye out on both. This interaction is telling, but Im still working on exactly what.

It's true that my timing looks a little coincidental, but it was after ckd and I had been debating for a while. It's not like as soon as any pressure was put on me, I switched my vote. I voted seriously when I was ready to.

It was after ckd argued you didn't have a strong opinion, then you took your own "initiative" and voted someone with little votes and gave a genuine opinion. I give you that you did make a good point and opinion, but that doesnt mean that you were not rushed/prompted by the events between you and CKD. That's my point.

The mod is someone who likes Super Mario RPG enough to base an entire game around it. While I expect a few surprises along the way, I don't expect a set-up that violates major game premises. (Like, Mario-scum would be OK, villain-scum would be OK; totally random alignments are not expected).

I also don't expect the mod to do much with Pa Mole and Ma Mole, since they're extremely minor characters who have like 8 lines in the entire game. A subversion involving them would make a one-scene-only character into a major game event, which seems like squandering built-in drama.

If the game were a bastard game with a less esoteric theme -- "office romance" or something -- I'd have a different attitude toward roles.

So it's basically /outguess. YMMV, but I still feel pretty strongly about it.

Regarding your specific "Pa Mole becomes 3rd party after other dies" idea -- if the theory is that MG has recently become scum, I don't think there's any scumtell, because his play hasn't changed D1 to D2 AFAICT.

That makes sense. I'll leave you to your scumhunting then. Also, yea the theory of that was just something I came up with, nothing serious.

I changed my target when the flip went modified roleblocker to see if the modified part was the candy I recieved upon targeting Jim Finn so I targeted JIM FINN again and I gained another Rock candy, but I'm not sure I gained a kill with it like last time so I have pm'd for mod clarification.

But it is definite now that Jim finn is either a friend who activates me or a scum who is bribing me.

Btw, thoughts I've randomly had while thinking of the game:

Swift needs to prove himself. Desperately. That's important for the town to have an active clear.
Shark could be maf that can't be killed instantaneously or maf with some sort of protection and drew a vig away from anyone with his croc claim. I find it hard to believe that someone with the knowledge hey cpuld die would ask to be vigged, especially when it doesn't really help the town at all.

Mallow and ms are both town who have been attacking each other all game.

Im town. My motives were to
A. Proof the mod is not as bastardly expected and let me survive a kill and be semi-clear, or
B. Die, making the game go faster, and showing that the mod is a bastard XD.

Swiftstrike could vig kill me again, but i'd SUGGEST NOT to (then again, i could die, elminating me from this lurktastic game). Instead DP/Zdenek (whichever is alive in the end) should be the vigkill.

When I asked to be shot, i didnt expect to honestly live.

1. I didnt like where the game was heading (now we are sort of doing something)
2. This was a bastard mod. When a role PM says you MIGHT survive a kill, i took it as, ima die now. Therefore, asking to be shot reveals me as 0% Bulletproof townie.

Me surviving is a surprise to me.

As for Kise believing im strategically attacking him, reread my actions from this game and tell me i seriously planned anything. The most you could argue is that i made the counterwagon on zdenek to stop the iec lynch, but I seriously have no plans atm. Im just here going off what my gut has said and what other town players say.

So that was the lynch that saw the end of Iecerint,ignoring what we know if Kise or lowell had unvoted Ierint he would have survived if ME, mallow,DP or Ms had voted Zdenek the same

So that leaves Nexus and Sharkfinn who couldn't influence the lynch any more than were they were.

I'm clearing Nexus and with the amount of Town vig action, me picking up night kills, Nexus now a vig a complusive vig and the bomb a bulletproof scum is plausible given we already saw a hider scum.

Also thanks Bowser for coming back, but the modkills and the lagging of the mods definitely slowed down the momentum of the game. The modkills literally threw out D1 for me imo.
