UNVOTE: StrangeCoug RVS vote no longer needed, I don't see a need to maintain my vote.
EtheralCookie and StatusQuo seem to be going for blood over possibly mis-read posts and opinons. I have a town read on both for now, unless they're both scum and playing outside the box hoping the other doesn't slip up. I''m personally going to ignore the miller claim as it could be used by the scum as an attempt to cover up or could be a genuine claim.-

I don't see enough evidence against StrangerCoug currently. I can see how you would consider what he said as coaching.EtheralCookie wrote:How do you feel about the votes on StrangerCoug?
Chronopie and CooLDoG also agreed with StrangerCoug in that the miller should claim straight away as the correct method to play miller. There is no indication of StrangerCoug directly answering your question in his post but seems to be more of passing a comment, which does seem to be coaching as I believe it was unprompted. I do have my suspicions but not enough to hold and maintain a vote.
No, each has their own justification so far and obviously believes they have enough to maintain the vote on. IMO A scum player would simply "hop-on" the wagon at this point.EtheralCookie wrote:Do you believe anyone voting for him could be scum?
Not enough to warrant a lynch.EtheralCookie wrote:Do you think the case holds any weight?
StrangerCougs vote to me seems well justified in the context given. peanutman just seems to be looking for a vote and IMO doesn't have much ground to stand on.EtheralCookie wrote:How do you feel about the two votes on myself?
Again, peanutman seems to just be voting without a good base, I am aware on Day1 you'd be lucky to get anything concrete but a good base is always good. So peanutman is coming across as slightly scummy to me.EtheralCookie wrote:Do you believe anyone voting for me could be scum?
StrangerCoug, yes, but I need a bit more convincing. peanutman, no.EtheralCookie wrote:Do you think the case holds any weight?
Ignoring the claim does not mean I'm going to ignore the events that came after. I simply meant that I am not going to allow the claim to affect my judgement on if TSQ is town or scum.CooLDoG wrote:@Antb, really ignore the claim? So the most content that has been generated to this point you are simply going to ignore? How is this productive? Play out both situations (one being that TSQ is scum, the other him being town), which one seems more likely? Unless you have real life issues I would love for you to respond to this and EC's questions as well.
tl;dr: Not enough weight against strangercoug, peanutman shows slightly scummy to me, I'm ignoring the miller claim, not the follow up from it.-

The case made against you does hold weight some weight however its not enough for me to take any action. From your discussion with TSQ I believe you both to be town from that, StrangerCoug IMO has acted on his suspicions against you and as such has voted for you. I believe he has made some valid points to justify that vote and that's why I believe his case holds weight. Despite that I am not fully convinced to jump on the band wagon and vote against you as the debate between yourself and TSQ leaves me thinking your both townor scum playing outside the box. I'm sat on the fence because it gives me a good view of what's going on. I don't like to make my move without having a good reason.
The bit I have placed in bold above is a bit you seem to have missed. I have a town read, yes. However I am not totally convinced.-

I said with more convincing I would possibly vote, not that if he says, for example, "OMG he iz scummy letz all vote for him". You seem to have taken what I've said as "I'm just going to wait and see how this rolls then maybe jump in for a hammer". You said yourself I'm on the fence, I'm not really that sure on anyone just yet, despite 4 pages of interesting posts. I should also highlight I'm in a similar situation with the case against strangercoug, there's weight in the case against him but nothing worthy of a vote just yet.
An unconvinced player is a liability, I'll admit. Could be worse however, I could just think "Oh looky at the bandwagon *jump/vote*".-

Brief review of all posts, SC is more scummier than EC, still need a little more convincing either way, but I want more information out of CooLDoG so...
My role has nothing to do with my Establishment, TSQ has already claimed he is a miller some have stated as the correct method of play for that role, yet you seem persistent on weening it out of his exactly what it is, do as you preach, reveal your establishment and then maybe moan about TSQ revealing his? Personally, unless your abilitily is to attack people with sammiches or if your the Food Saftey Agency (or w/e the US equivilent is) then I don't believe your role can be that closley linked. Also claiming to be a power role at this point seems dodgy at this point, you have no need to roleclaim, even as generic as "I am a PR". Claiming a PR on D1 is going to get you killed one way or the other, if you did start a successful bandwagon and the person flipped townie, Your guaranteed to be either NK'd or Lynched on D2. So why claim?-

My vote at the moment seems to be primarily torn between CooLDoG due to the reasons outlined my previous post, and StrangerCoug who hasonly justdecided he doesn't like you, for reasons he hasn't revealed.
@ StrangerCoug
Explain yourself. "Your Bugging Me" seems odd and scummy coming out of the blue like that, justification would be nice.-

@ConfidAnon
I have been told in the past that I am quite an unorthodox player.
An RVS vote outside RVS to me is useless unless its generating something. I didn't feel at the time it would help generate anything and I had no need to maintain it.
I would say more calculated. If I was to commit currently I would probably vote for CooLDoG. However things may changeConfidAnon wrote:I don't like how you have supported both sides of the issue in this post, either. Noncommittal stances are scummy.
Your new in as a replacement from the outside so you would see the full picture instead of us inside who are more focused on certain people.ConfidAnon wrote:Just out of curiosity, why did you ask that question to me, but not to other players who have not given their thoughts?

My reason for not asking ChannelDeliBird is simple.
He has yet to post.ChannelDeliBird wrote:I might not be read up for a couple of days, in the process of catching up with a couple of other games right now,
My non-committal stance is also good to ensure I don't end up vote-hopping like a deranged frog. I have a few suspicions at the moment and I am unsure who I should push for.
You seem to say that voting is locking to an opinion, I have several opions and none I currently wish to "lock" to.
What's more scum like to you? Vote-Hopping or no vote with 17 days until the dead line? To me its vote-hopping. If we were closer the the deadline I would happily vote.
Because lurkers are in the inside and still build their own opinons and such as the game progresses. As such you could say we see the game in progress in parts, whereas you come in and get to see the game so far in whole.CollidAnon wrote:How would you know that when they weren't posting thoughts to begin with?
@TSQ
What reason would a townie have for posting that? Scummy was probably the wrong word to use it seems. I have scummy defined basically as "Not something a townie generally would do", not "what scum is more likely to do than town". (Yes there is a difference)
---
I'm having trouble understanding StrangerCougs post... from what I can figure he is supporting CooLDoG's pursuit of getting TSQs establishment out of him...
And seeing as people are pressuring for votes-

@TSQ:
Point taken and noted.
@CooLDoG and StrangerCoug:
Why push for TSQ to reveal his establishment so hard? CooLDoG states he has a power-role closely associated with his chain (My knowledge of American food chains in quite lacking) but as I have said before unless he is a Food Standards Agency equivalent I really can't see any way in which your joint could match your abilities unless its one which has been in the US news recently, which would put foreigners (like myself) at a possible disadvantage.-

@CooLDoG
The DoubleDown doesn't exist here in the UK, the nastiest thing we have I suppose would be a Big Daddy "burger". And if you had not claimed you were a power role I doubt anyone would have made much of a connection if you had just revealed KFC.
That was clarified and my vote is because apparently not voting is even worse than having an unmaintainable vote...CooLDoG wrote:Why is SC scummy? Voting for the sake of voting is not a good thing

Stating your role is linked to KFC and DoubleDown is not a good thing, if you had just mentioned KFC then you may have been fine. Mentioning Double Down and "unhealthiest place in USA" was careless.-

No point now really. You've as good as claimed and on D1 that ain't a good thing. Why would a pro-town role claim on D1? and without any provocation? IMO your a 3rd party role currently.-

Pressure? I just said practice what you preach, if your going to push so hard to get TSQs establishment perhaps you should reveal yours. You could have fake-claimed, or just said KFC without anything else.
I also think the importance of flavour is only understood by those wielding a role matching their establishment but they are smart enough to keep it covered...
I'm also getting a VI vibe from CooLDoG so I'm going to say NOT lynch him, let the scum get him and potentially save other power roles. Unless the Doc covers him then D2 will be interesting...-

#64 I stated I would not ignore the discussion later
#84 You say this post is scummy yet missed it from your break down, what exactly is scummy about it? Fence sitting isn't the best thing but in that situation I felt it better not to vote. I also explained StrangerCoug seemed to have made a better case IMO and he was voting and acting on his suspicions.
#127 Must've missed the question, unless your referring to me asking him specifically to provide an overview on specific players and him wondering why. Then if you look closer and not skim, you shall find the answer.
#128 A Rhetorical question is a good way to divert attention. Noted.
I like to see where you believe I have referred to non-existent content.-

@CooLDoG
I said if you are going to push so hard then reveal yours and he may do the same. I did not apply any pressure, I didn't say "do or die". You revealed it of your own will. Besides, why would you reveal so much with so little/no pressure?-

I based my case off CooLDoGs push for TSQ to reveal his establishment and the resulting reveal of his PR with no pressure, and since then he seems to be attempting to shift attention back at me by saying I backtracked and more recently implying I forced him to reveal his role. Of which I did no such thing.-

This will be short and sweet as Im on my phone.
So basically, i have to vote and stick with no matter what or im scum, makes perfect sense... I did indeed say CooLDoG was a bit VI and not to lynch, however my opinion has since changed as he appears to be trying to blame his nameclaim and soft PR claim on me putting pressure on him, which I did not do and had no intention of doing.
If your so great and wise, EC, what is the correct way for me to vote? On gut? On nothing conclusive? or on a genuine belief? Sure it might take me a little longer than those who have said x y and z quotes make you scum omg vote die die die, i like to have a good basis for my vote which i can support, whats wrong with that?
You also say I'm parroting, i dont think i am apart from the sanity check post i made, which CooLDoG made a nice job of smoothing over.
If i have missed anything i apologise and I will cover it in a later post. my smartphone isnt that smart >_>-

Pressuring someone to vote IMO is worse than having no vote, the person might just think "OMG must vote and join the wagon" then when the person flips town they get all the crap from it for having nothing to go on while scum sit back and chalk up 2 for the price of one.-

My scum list at the moment consists of CooLDoG, with minor suspisions on the lurkers and peanutman.
The scum have been given fakeclaims to use and CooLDoG gave his role up too easily for my liking. I'm willing to bet its a fakeclaim. KFC is a big chain, but IMO that makes it more believeable to use as a fakeclaim.-

That's really "[...] I had a feeling [...]" isn't it. To me that's "This guys scum, I'll say why shortly."inHimShalliBe wrote:SCUM HERE

@Magua
I'm leaning null-to-scum on strangercoug at the moment. The head to head with EC left me leaning town, SCs flip from "Don't reveal" to "Reveal and prove your not lying" then pushing CooLDoG for a similar stance claiming they were after different flavour strikes me as off. Only realising that TSQ hasn't yet responded after someone points it out several pages later leaves it tilting scum.
I still need one (two?) more for the full scumteam... I don't believe SC is the missing one. But theres time yet.
@inHimShalliBe
In well considering you've said contradictory things and still not provided much of what was asked... my vote is staying firm.-

last official votecount has me and SC as the lynch wagons of choice for D1.
Personally, I still say we go for inHim. The guy tried and failed to build a case on me on the fly by attempting to provoke reactions and trying to force slips. He still has no clear case against me.-

@CooLDoG
Right back at you mate, you mis-rep'd saying I was putting pressure on you, when I wasn't. Scum have fakeclaims, I believe yours is one of them.-

@raj
I stopped tunneling a while ago, CooLDoG just keeps pulling my attention back on to himself now. I think he misses me...
Also, you seem to have gone from almost shouting "obviscum!! to "meh". What changed your mind?-

3 Days left, we need to choose a wagon to push to completion. My vote may as well be standing spare right now. I'll place it on whatever wagon picks up to prevent no-lynch, as I'm otherwise undecided between SC's opportunism and CPs lurking.-
