Yea, he did give a warning...but his reasoning was severely lacking.
That being said, to me it's usually a big sign when someone jumps in at the beginning of a new day and votes for the hammer. It's an easy vote and an easy bandwagon to start. Yes, shotty hammered, but I'm getting the feeling that he just does that kind of stuff, scum or not. I'm still interested in why the lynch actually happened so fast. I'd say at least two of the scum jumped on that bandwagon as quickly as they could.
(Sorry, last week was absolutely craptastic, I will be more active from now on.)-

I'm not saying that I agree with his play style, or that he is "pro-town". But I think being an anti town player and being part of the mafia can be two different things.
Also
You yourself call it a "small paragraph" but you still think it wasn't made known? It's not like he buried it in a wall post, you didn't see the need to actually read the three lines he wrote?silverbullet999 wrote:BS in that he doesn't make a point to let it be known (just throws it in a small paragraph and such, unbolded or marked so to speak). and yes he has pulled this shit before but it's as anti town as shit in the least.-

Have you looked at any of his past games?Cookie_of_Death wrote:

Day 2 Juuuuuuust began. I am not going to throw votes around like I know what I'm talking about until I have some sort of an idea who I feel is scummy. As of right now, none of us have a whole lot to go off of.Cookie_of_Death wrote:
OK, no vote out, and no indication as to who these two scum may be.Stefunny wrote:I'm still interested in why the lynch actually happened so fast. I'd say at least two of the scum jumped on that bandwagon as quickly as they could.
This is starting to get fishy, Stefunny.
Why are you pushing so hard for everyone to put out a vote when it's been less than a page and less than 24 hours since day two started? Haven't you ever heard of a FOS?Cookie_of_Death wrote: Striker is another person who doesn't put out a vote though he points a finger at shotty.
And how the hell do you justify voting for rekirtS without really giving much of any reasoning for your vote?
Just because you vote and unvote every single post doesn't mean the rest of us have to.-

First of all I'd like to thank everyone for being patient with me. Unfortunately it's been a rough month.
After rereading here are my thoughts.
Shotty getting replaced really makes me think that his slot is not scum.
I know that real life comes first, but I don't think he would ask for a replacement if he was scum. I've never seen that happen on the other sites I've played on, and if you have more fun as scum why would you ask for a replacement? I honestly feel that Shotty is just playing the way he always plays. I agree with CN at #140 that we can't dismiss what he does AS meta, but I feel like lynching him at this point would be useless. I think the best thing to do at this point is see how his replacement acts before making a decision. If his replacement acts a little scummy then that would point to Shotty's actions being more than just his meta.drmyshottyizsik wrote:I honestly play way better as scum, and i like it more. You can look at my record
I still think the lynch happening on day 4 kind of killed the momentum. I understand there was a supposed "crumb" but my bet is that one of the people who got all excited over the "crumb" is an opportunistic scum. By this reasoning I think besides yabba (who obviously wasn't scum, BV was the strongest push to lynch werewolf. On the flip side rekirts and chkflip both jumped onto the bandwagon very quickly, with their only reasoning being:
andrekirtS wrote: But onto the game, this is either really dumb scum play or some crazed gambit. Not sure how you keep denying this.
Unvote, Vote: Werewolf555
So which is worse? Pushing for a lynch while still on page 2 or jumping on the bandwagon while giving no reasoning?chkflip wrote:Ah. Hadn't thought about it like that. You're so clever,Yyabbadude.
UNVOTE:
VOTE: werewolf555
I'm going to say the latter.
Chkflip also seems to be interested in other peoples scum reads while not giving any of his own. I also think that
is fishy. Unless I am reading this wrong he is voting Shotty because he's asking for a replacement? Sounds pretty opportunistic to me. I feel like maybe he's worried someone competent will come in and people won't be focusing on Shotty D2 anymore.chkflip wrote:Shotty quit, iirc.
VOTE: Drmyshottyizsik
All in all I think with the slowness of the thread I can't get a good read on a lot of the other players. Hopefully after the holiday things will pick up.
and rekirtS. I'm a her, not a him. Thanks.-

Normally I wouldn't think somebody quitting would be evidence either way either, however I feel like with Shotty this may be true. Especially since he noted time limitations as being his reason for backing out but at about the same time he signed up for two new games. I simply feel he lost interest.Lindisfarne wrote:
This is fairly true. There are situations it could be a tell (If someone only replaces when they are scum, or only when they are town; and do it fairly often) that type of meta could be useful, but even then it is not good evidence either way. I generally try to take replacing out as Alignment Neutral.CN wrote:Statistically, getting replaced has nothing to do with alignment. Whether you thought he was scum or town, his leave shouldn't change your opinion on him. Any argument made from that is WIFOM at best.
@andrew: who do you think, besides shotty/lindis, is the best lynch candidate right now? Why is your vote on silver and not shotty/lindis if you feel so strongly about him?
How is he "sus"? I have not seen any evidence/argument of this in your posts.andrew94 wrote:@restirts, i will day kill shotty becos hes absolutely annoying,my vote is on silver becos i want everyone to vote for him as he is sus(obs if i was at l1 and i had the day kill i would vig him etc)
Can you explain why you think Lindis is contradictory?andrew94 wrote:firstly, who has a strong opinion,
secondly, if your talking about lindis, then hes points are ffreaking contradictory.
It doesn't end day but it does give the scum one up on us. I don't understand this logic either.andrew94 wrote:idont have a day-shot... and if i did i would shoot shotty even if hes innocent child because it improves our efficency 100%. + it doesnt end the day.
I would also like to see chkflip explain who he thinks is scum and I'd like to hear from COD's replacement before I make any sort of a vote. andrew and chk are at the top of my scumlist but CoD reads slightly scummy to me as well.-

Or maybe he's town andknewwe'd know he knew, and that's why he left it alone.
Or maybe he's scum andknewwe'd know he knew we'd know he knew...
Etc.
OR MAYBE he decided it was time to jump off this sinking ship before he was lynched, which is something he'd probably do regardless of alignment. Point being, this shouldn't earn him any town points, or any scum points, since the probability he replaced as either is relatively the same. What should matter is the way his replacement, Lindisfarne, has filled his slot. Up to this point, Lind has made by far the most contribution to this game, so he passes (with an IGMEOY, of course).
I suppose it's not really indicative of his alignment, but I agree that lind seems to have done a good job of filling the spot and making contributions.
However there are still a few people whoaren'tcontributing and it's tough with the holidays.-

Highlighting that you think he is suspect does not explain WHY you think he is suspect. You have given no evidence whatsoever in your case against SB. I don't feel like you actually ANSWERED any of my questions.andrew94 wrote:Stefunny wrote:

You still have your vote on SB and I still think it's a crap vote.-

I don't think they would necessarily bring it up either, it could have just been the way they chose the kill. I've done that as scum not knowing if it was going to work or not, either way, I wouldn't bring it up.chkflip wrote:Why would scum be the first one to bring it up? Wouldn't that make them the obvious scum once I flip town?

I agree that a no lynch is a bad idea, and I agree that chk is suspicious, but I was hoping to hear more from Snake and andrew before possibly mislynching. I'm a little upset that we may not hear much from them before the deadline and I get the feeling that at least one of them could be riding coat-tails through the game.
Or it could be 'I'm a townie darn it!' desperation. Not that he's really tried hard to go that way either, but I could see being annoyed and giving up going either way.silverbullet999 wrote: His giving up and frustration just seems like an annoyed giving up at having a role with higher responsibility (scum) and blowing it.
I don't like this sentence at all. I'm not sure why, but it reads really funny to me. I feel like you are agreeing with this lynch and distancing yourself from it at the same time.silverbullet999 wrote:I'm a bit more confident with this wagonvs the stupid ass wagon that day 1 ended with.If he ends up flipping town... scum has got to be on this wagon...
chk is L-1, correct?
I would go ahead and tell chk that he should give his final words now, rather than waiting for someone to say they will hammer if it gets close to deadline. At this point he needs to start talking regardless.
