OK, before reading this post, I want you to know that I haven't finished the book yet, and there are spoilers to the second season premier of six feet under.

Good Omens (especially in the context of this game) seems to me to be about life. The struggle of life. The game of life. While I was trying to think of the reasons for this mod kill, I thought of several things. I was blank.
But then I re-watched an episode of Six Feet Under, and nate confuses an asprin pill with an ectasy pill, and gets high. He then sees his dead father playing chinese checkers with life and death. Life and death ask if nate wants to play, and nate says, "shouldn't I wait for this game to end?" Life retorts with sometihng along the lines of, "This game ain't never gonna end, honey" and death goes "You're either in or out." His father says "On or off the bus if you prefer." This was meant to show that Nate was either highly emersed in living, and being active, or he was out and what not. Good omens seems the same to me. You're either in, or you're out, dead. So I think at the point where someone offers to go out, they're off the bus. They're not playing. They're not in the struggle for life. And also this would only apply to currently living humans I guess, and that would fit both the roles.*

I'm beginning to wonder if these aren't modkills - why would a modkill ever happen at night (i.e., the DP modkill)? Or right after two incredibly innocuous posts (i.e., the Thoth modkill)? These are potentially mod-flavored regular kills. I'd be inclined to believe they're Godkills, but I don't know for sure. And I can't say for sure that they're scumkills as opposed to vigkills of some sort, but it seems more probable.

I don't think these are a killing group. Night 3 and day 6? It doesn't make any sense. I guess, it could be every three days, cuz 3 is a magical number, but it doesn't make sense for one to be night and the next to be day. Unless the mods are randomly killing people every three days, for some stupid reaosn, and forgot last night.
But this especially not if it was god kills. Most people think god would be partnered with metatron, and it would be way underpowered for a scum group to kill this rarely. And it doesn't make sense, because we have almost all our other kills assigned, don't we?

Okay, now, this is going to narrowly dodge the rules of the game, but at this point I would support a mass-roleclaim. Clinging tightly to the line "Very basic descriptions (cop-type role, etc.) are ok" from the rules, I think that if we all claim our role ability as basically as possible, we should be able to put everything together from there without getting rampantly modkilled. We have a half-dozen protown roles worth drawing a nightkill already revealed, so we might as well go all the way and try to get the complete picture.

On the other hand, trying this might turn out to be mass-suicide. Or it might be tactically the wrong move. Thoughts?

Yea, I finished both the book and the thread during the last two days/nights. I was ridiculously of esme, but she was really helpful in lynching one of the demons. I don't think Pooky is mafia cop, because of the fact that so far, no other mafia seem to have powers (except for mith i suppose). And I think the only person we're still looking for is Hastur, and of that group I don't think Hastur would be the cop.
Also, I'd like Pooky's results, even if he has an innocent. That is because we already have 3 cleared (IMO). You guys may not believe this, but I belive myself, Pooky, and Fuldu are cleared. Pooky should either point to the final scum, or help clear one more person. (I'm asuming one of his results was on me/thump).

Between Coron and Gaspode, I find an attempt to speed the game up and lynch someone based on poor reasons to be both more dangerous and scummier than being noncommital and attempting to slow the game down. Coron's frequent use of ALL CAPS and the tones of frustration and anger I read in his posts I also find scummy, though this may be misinterpretation and/or bias on my part.

Between Coron and PB, my second choice for a lynch, I find that PB's style, while scummy and annoying, is not as suspicious as Coron's posted reasons for voting and his behavior in subsequent discussions of those reasons. The chance that PB is weird is higher than the chance the Coron is innocent and playing poorly. Additionally a vote on Coron 'counts' more than a vote on PB at this point, although that's a much more secondary reason.

I still find the strongest case against Aelyn to be in relationship to Gaspode, so I'd prefer lynching him before lynching Aelyn (And I don't really want to lynch Gaspode.) One could, I suppose, lynch Aelyn for other, justifiable reasons but that lynch would be weaker than a lynch of any of the other potential candidates.

So I'd be happiest lynching either Coron or PB, wouldn't mind lynching Gaspode, disagree with lynching Aelyn before Gaspode, and don't think there's much of a case against anyone else.

I find these comments really weird, but basically esme showed GH's scummier posts, didn't vote, but later voted after there was a bandwagon. I dunno. I guess I'll take her as innocent for now. Part of me thinks this is scummy. But I don't think there would have been a sacrifice like that. That leaves flay and Alko. I'll just go ahead and

I'm inclined to believe that Fuldu and Fritzler are innocent, and by inference, Pooky. If Pooky has two secret results now, he should reveal, IMO. If he forgot an investigation again, I'm likely to vote him out of sheer spite. Evil or Very Mad

The last person we're searching for can't have been one of the last minute replacees. Because the last demon was killed day 4. There has still been the night 5 and 6 kills. Al_ko couldn't have been responsible for them. I doubt sinster overlord was.

1 reason. There were kills after the second to last demon died, and before we got the replacement groupies. I don't think SO was playing at all by then, and as a result wouldn't have sent in kills.

Oh, and for the record (for those of you that still remember this far back), I really was at a conference when Pooky outed me. I wasn't stalling for time, I had come up with my "claim" pretty much from the beginning. I had a lot of fun with that, I'm still surprised I got away with it for so long.

Oh, one thing. God/Metatron are described as "masons" but they have a recruit ability. How's that work again? I don't know how it interacts with the game.
