Yeah, that's what's stumping me at the moment. I don't think Rhinox would've bitten a zeusbolt so early, though, even if we consider the fact that the battery power was converted.

Vi, can the scum choose their Day 1 kill during confirmation phase, or do they have to wait until the day actually starts?

mothrax wrote:Yeah, according to the OP he "Might as well Be Walking on the Sun."

Pedit: @gud: yes, what I have read of/interacted with jack he does something like this a lot. That and if his rep is true he is not the type of player to make such a blatant slip d1 under that little (read 0) pressure.
But it's undeniable that Rhinox is dead, and the only way that makes sense to me right now is a NK.

Also, Guderian fell right into it. <3

Okay, okay, I'll stop. Watching you squirm was entertaining, though.

I'll admit, I thought it was a slip at first until I remembered that scum tend to proofread. (Hell, when I'm scum, I check my shit twice to make sure that kind of slip doesn't go through.) Jack is experienced, yes, which means he probably either screwed up and posted without checking it, which is townish, or he did it on purpose, which would also be townish.

You gunned right for it.

As I understand post 100, you believe Guderian's vote for Jack in post 69 to be a town move, since you put him under your town list. In post 176, you say Guderian doesn't get the credit for calling out Jack because I did it first; however, you gave him that credit in post 100. What changed?

Phew. Just read through 11 pages again.

Having trouble deciding whether Guderian's frustration is town-anger or scum-anger (but it is genuine, though). Will sleep on this. Opinions and stuff welcome.

I still like my vote on Kitoari, even if it's not a very popular wagon at the moment.

Regarding the scum-NK-during-quicklynch thing: My list is similar to Nixon's 253. I have a feeling the Rhinox kill was based purely on reputation, most likely from someone with first-hand experience (hence my question right after the lynch), so I'll look into that tomorrow.

I was expressing some doubts about whether Andy was town or not for specifically calling for a quick lynch (Actually just before there), and really I'm unsure because it's such a loud "look at me" type of post/vote.

It seems to me that the next vote would have attracted a decent amount of attention too, and so would be less likely to be a scum vote.

Especially with Mothrax's vote being delivered the way it was.
It felt like he was trying to hook into Andy's quick lynch push but being free to claim he wasn't.
I was more interested in your statement that "scum voting after Andy" was a risky move. I thought that voting after it's clear a policy quicklynch was on the agenda would be less risky... so I'm trying to see your train of thought here.

What do you think of the situation here -- that nobody has gone under serious fire for their vezokpiraka votes?

I had the thought that the scum seraphs would already have done Consolidation as soon as they were able to since it's relatively inexpensive, but if what Magua says in post 306 is true, they haven't. Small Voice has a different appearance if I'm understanding MoHO and Vi's sample Holy Order correctly, so this is likely an actual ability.

Hmm... If scum gain 50% battery power, then the cost to consolidate and then enter the QuickTopic probably costs more, and I'm guessing the increase would be (at least) proportional to the change in conversion rate.

Brain fodder.

Baby Spice wrote:That's why I think the quick lynch was pushed by scum. But I really felt that Andy was genuine town in doing it. Hence voting Mothrax who subtly cited quick lynching as part of his vote.
Now I see where you were going. Hmm... Okay.
singersigner wrote:Plus, it really told us a lot about who was online posting, as far as potential scumz needing to send in a kill at that time.
I thought about that, but it's impossible to definitively tell who could have sent in an action because the scum may have stayed off the quick lynch entirely, and not everyone has public online status. Basically, we're still at square one (but with reads from people's behaviors and stuff).
singersigner wrote:How exactly did you read Andrius as genuine town pushing the QL?
Since Baby Spice couldn't answer, I will. It's a ballsy move for scum; pushing a policy lynch is difficult, and usually there's somebody out there who will go bug-eyed and scream, "OMGZ HE'S PUSHING AN EASY LYNCH DIESCUMDIE." It's more likely that scum would join an already established policy lynch than propose one themselves.

That said... I probably should read that part again.

Okay, fuck. I tried to read this thread and post catch-up comments, but I keep getting interrupted. I'll run out of time in half an hour, so whatever I get in before then is what you lot are going to get.

Posting to say:

V/LA until January 16

I will be out of town all day tomorrow. On Sunday morning, I'll be here to crack this game open like a fresh bottle of cider. Or a piggy bank. Or a flower pot, given my streak lately. But whatever.

I'll be thinking of you guys and a possible super awesome town bloc while I'm on the road.

All right, be back in a bit.

Okay, let's see what's up here...

Currently undecided on Baby Spice and VasudeVa. I'm saving Baby Spice for Sunday, since I'm probably going to read her in conjunction with Katsuki and the Day 1 stuff.

I'm less certain of Guderian at the moment. I was going to wait until his next post -- ideally his list of suspects -- but the amount of material since the time I needed it probably makes further waiting pointless. So, the thing I'm unsure about is how he stuck to his suspicion of Jack despite mothrax and I telling him that it's not a scum tell but a Jack tell. I imagine scum would've backed off upon hearing that, and Guderian does have a handy excuse on hand, that being lack of experience with Jack. (Not that I've actually checked his games. I'll check it when I get back.) My read of Guderian's reactions to Fate align with RayFrost's, mainly because that's how I reacted to Katsuki once upon a time.

Also, he hasn't posted anywhere since Wednesday, and he's in enough games that he can't lurk until prod time in them all.

However, I still like the Kitoari lynch and would like to lynch him first.

I don't like Empking's line of questioning regarding singersigner, looks like planting seeds of doubt. (Later edit: Okay, I see he's un-FoSed her. I still want the answer to my question... below.)

Also, time stamps are awesome, use them more.
Nachomamma8 wrote:EQUINOX YOU NEVER SAID HI TO ME :(((
YES I DID.

Also, hi. Are you scum?
Andrius wrote:He is abrasive; something he isn't as town. (PYP4)
Someone mentioned that Guderian wasn't too happy with Fate's style before. How did he react then, and did he react while in the game?
Empking wrote:It was incredibly uncomitted.
What sort of answer were you looking for, and how would scum answer differently from town?

Also, I just noticed this:
RayFrost wrote:Post for Andrius that I was typing before equi posted:
That makes it pretty obvious that RayFrost wasn't pushing the quick lynch thing "multiple" times.
Empking wrote:Edit; RayFrost, how many "streams" have you posted in? When did that stream end?
...how is this not obvious?
Magua wrote:And although I was joking (mostly) when I said that Agar drew scum again in this game, I'm becoming more serious about that. He's active on site in other games, which means he's actively avoiding this one.
AGar doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would lurk like this as scum, even considering the circumstances. I second (probably just an nth at this point) the demand for AGar-posting, though.

All right, guys, I'm outta here now. See you in a bit.

I approve of this shift to Kitoari.

I do not approve of VasudeVa's vote on Katsuki.

Check the sign-up thread. ;)
Empking wrote:Equinox: What is "planting seeds of doubt"?
Your question to singersigner sounded like, "You're playing better than last time, and you can't even tell! You must be scum!" That sounds ridiculously paranoid to me, and if singersigner is town she may hesitate to play at her best. It makes me antsy.

Besides, it's not like singersigner is uncatchable as scum.

Reading the post Equinox posts now.
RayFrost's terminology and pattern of posting seem fairly obvious to me. I don't know what the problem is.

Also, have you not been reading?

Join us and kill Kitoari!

RayFrost outlining his streams is kind of funny. And then not so funny when I realize why he has to do it.

No. Read Kitoari's link.

Seems odd you'd read me now as opposed to while reading the thread.

Day-long trip got cancelled, so now I'm home. I've half a mind to just walk off again, though. I really don't feel like doing any work right now. :igmeou:

This is odd. Why? Do you think Katsuki is Town? What makes my vote wrong?
Gut. No. Gut.

Okay, maybe not gut, but that sounded cool. Anyway, Nachomamma8 summed up my thoughts pretty well here.

Looking at your posts again, though, this makes sense because I know I do that as town. It just bugs me. Fuck. I have no idea.

Rain check.

Also, Kitoari appears to be V/LA until Monday.

AGar: Just to note, this isn't particularly game-relevant; my response to you was a "Trust me, this lynch was better" thing.
Kitoari wrote:Thank you Vi for sparing me in my infinite stupidity.

In other news, I figured that only a recent game could incite this much RAEG, so I went and found this.

Get well soon!

I never thought I'd say this, but I've never longed for quote walls as much as I do right now.

Oh, yes. That means this is a quote wall.

Enter Furcolow, stage left.

I can see the reason why he (and Empking, I suppose) would believe RayFrost to be scum from that "Don't quick lynch; it's anti-town!" post, but this...

If you believe this to be a town-scum interaction, point out where and who. I won't accept this, not even from you.

Oh, hey.
