An incredibly intricate double-bus which did well to give them town credit; staying distant enough to allow the vengeful townie to shoot another townie despite the confirmed scum; going the entire game without even shooting the tracker who claimed D1 because they didn't

to... the win really was played incredibly perfectly by all three of them. Fugi's cop claim got the vengeful townie lynched, Fate's bus got Fugi lynched, Nacho's careful play cleared him as the beacon of towniness... just beautiful all around.

VPB: There's something to be said about a scumteam who can skirt the town that easily, AND pull off a bus like that. Granted, some of it was just the town eating themselves alive, but there's also a lack of recognitions when scum play perfectly in games. And IMO, scum who can just sit back and only poke/prod at the right moments to cause the town to eat themselves alive are just as good as scum who pull off some form of brilliant gambit.

I suppose I wasn't looking at it from that perspective, I was looking at it from the perspective of their strategy was spot on, even if it didn't play into the game itself that much:

- Nachomamma8 was in the background, silent, and only struck at the most opportune times. The way he publicly goaded Fate back onto the Fugitive wagon was great, and was able to let Fate declare Nacho town without looking suspicious.
- Fate was loud and vocal, and was able to get himself cleared as confirmed-town by quite a few people fairly early on in the game.
- Fugitive was the necessary sacrifice, and it was played perfectly. The cop claim was improvised and went off without a hitch, and the way Fugitive fought made it look like it wasn't a bus at all.

I agree that for body of work there should be multiple nominations for the same person encouraged and welcomed so that we can get more of a 'body of work' feel to everything.

I was nominated for Paragon and Don Corleone last year and not once was I asked to send in games or anything. So either what you just said is total bullshit, or you guys only asked

players to provide their body of work, which means it isn't fair judging.

I think the three games thing might not be the answer, because Paragon is supposed to be a single person. If a single person has a really good game, forcing people to hold onto that nomination until there are two other games where they can roll it all into a single nomination seems pointless. I would recommend some other kind of system, where players can be nominated for body of work awards after only one game, but they're kept in "pending" status until three games are nominated as well. This would cut down on the judge's time and also make sure that each person nominated for body of work is actually getting their fair voice out there.

No, there's no need for two variations on a single person's performance(s). Chances are, someone who is strong enough to be nominated for one game's performance will probably have other games that can earn them a BoW nomination as well.

Right. I think my main issue here is to make sure people who get nominated for BoW are actually being considered for their entire BoW. Let's say someone has one great game and gets nominated for that (let's call him Player 1). Let's also say someone else has a pretty damn good game and gets nominated for that (let's call him Player 2). Player 1's ONE great game was a fluke, and they played like shit the rest of the year. Player 2's ONE game was good, but he played at a consistently good level the entire year, but nobody bothered nominating him for those games since he was already on the list.

By comparison, Player 1's game is going to beat Player 2's game in a vacuum. So what is "Body of Work"? Is it just the good stuff that gets nominated, while ignoring the bad? Or is it truly a "Body of Work" award?

I think the Best Mafia Catcher role should exist for people who were there from the start or at least the majority of the game. IMO it's easier to replace in and get a fresh pair of eyes on the game... granted, MoS did it with flying colors, which is why I think he deserves Best Replacement hands down with no questions asked.

Well, yes. Sometimes Town wins, and sometimes Scum loses, and sometimes Scum wins, and sometimes Town loses. Just like any game, you can either screw it up and throw away victory, or you can seize victory from the jaws of defeat.

Nominate scooby for Most Cunning Manipulation in Kids in the Hall Mafia

In a star studded player list (half the players had scummy awards, many had more than one), he pulled the wool over the eyes of almost every single player throughout the entire game. It was a large theme game with 2 scumteams of 3, and he lost both of his partners by the first few days. He talked his way out of a D1 lynch, and leaned back on a VT claim in a game where pretty much everyone had a role. His claim even held through a mass role claim. Scooby made very strategic kills, and even used his recruiting ability correctly to clinch the win miraculously in two sets of lylos. He always seemed to evade peoples' scum lists, and was never threatening enough to warrant a Night Kill from the other scum team. DGB, a treestump throughout the game listed him as obvtown due to committing "a secret town tell that worked 100% of the time," and literally NOBODY dead or alive felt that he was scum due to his careful, strategic posting. I may be laying it a bit thick, but he turned a hopeless game into a flawless victory.

While I don't think it was a 'flawless victory' and there are certain glaring examples of where the town didn't play exceedingly well (I read the game after it was brought up in another thread), but scooby deserves some recognition for his play on some level
